He helps himself three arepas. Bruno faces her back. "How's Mirabel this morning?" He asked her.
The meh expressive capybara appears. It peeks at Bruno.
"She's all right. Isabela and Luisa are so helpful to her hermana." Julieta answered.
"Mirabel will get her new glasses soon. It's been three days since Agustin talked Osvaldo about the delivery order." Bruno stated.
Julieta became solemn. "It's going to be longer than a month to get new glasses for Mirabel." She said.
He became overwhelmed. "A month?!" Bruno exclaimed.
"Longer than a month." Julieta clarified.
"But why?! Mirabel can't help her family she has without her glasses!" Bruno exclaims worryingly.
"I know it's hard for my daughter. Mama told me that she needs help for everything that is only for women. Just until Mirabel gets her new glasses." Julieta said pitifully.
He was disbelieved. "So that's it? I can't see my sobrina until she gets new pair of glasses?" Bruno wondered.
Julieta sighs. "You can still be with Mirabel before she sleeps every night. I know it's not enough time for you to spend with her." She replied.
He became perplexed. "Okay, who's staying with Mirabel until she gets her new pair of glasses?" Bruno wonders.
Julieta has no idea how to reply his answer.
She feels awkward.
He becomes resolute. "Is anyone in the casita watching Mirabel?" Bruno added, getting serious. "Julieta, your daughter's helpless without her glasses for papa's sake." He uttered.
"I know you don't like seeing Mirabel being cooped up in her bedroom. Maybe talk to mama about your concerns like you just told me." She declares.
Bruno sighed. "Maybe I will." He decides.
Bruno leaves the kitchen. He was having a fit of the Madrigals recently. Especially his mother.
The capybara begins following Bruno. It was only a couple feet away from each other.
He was about to get out of the casita. Bruno halted. He detects little footsteps. Bruno turns around. He was bewildered.
No one's in the casita.
Bruno shrugs. "Meh." He said.
Bruno left the casita. He moves forward.

Bruno sighed aggravatingly. "Every time." He said to himself.
Bruno walked on.

Abuela Alma steps around the town square. She recognizes one of her children. Abuela Alma became delightful. "Hola, Brunito." She greets to him.
He became annoyed. "Hola, mama." Bruno said.
Abuela Alma noticed his predicament. She doesn't expect it. "Oh what's the matter?" Abuela Alma wonders.
"Mama, Mirabel's all by herself in the casita." He added, concerning. "Who's going to watch her until she gets her new pair of glasses?" Bruno asked.
Abuela Alma sighs. She acknowledged his worry. Abuela Alma expresses her pity. "I know it's not what you anticipate, hijo. We, The Madrigals, still have to help the town." She added. The capybara hides behind the mountain pile of colored stones. "I do know now you just mentioned it to me, what do you suggest then?" Abuela Alma wonders again.
He became perplexed. "Wait, I thought you're going to tell me a solution about keeping Mirabel company for a long while. Julieta told me only the Madrigal women can help." Bruno aforesaid.
Abuela Alma sighed. She was not surprised. "I see. Let me rephrase that; what do you suggest who can be with Mirabel for some company?" Abuela Alma wonders one more time.
He shrugs himself. "Her sister or her cousin?" Bruno replies.
She smiles at him. Abuela Alma became contented. "I might have someone who can be with Mirabel." She considers.
He gets hopeful. "Really? Who?" Bruno asks.
"Dolores." Abuela Alma answered.
He got bewildered. "Dolores?" Bruno asked again.
"She's not as busy as Isabela and Luisa is. Dolores will understand once you tell her what you told me." Abuela Alma aforementioned.
"Just where is Dolores for a moment?" He asked one more time.
Abuela Alma gestured her hijo a direction. "She's straight forward with the Guzmans." Abuela Alma answered.
Bruno sighs frustratingly. "Okay." He whispers.
Bruno leaves his mother. He waved at her. "Adios." Bruno said. He's going to the Guzmans' place.
She waves back at him. "Adios, Brunito." Abuela Alma said.
She detects something moving. Abuela Alma became unexpected.

She glimpsed at Mariano. Dolores became solemn. "My cousin needs a new pair of glasses. Her old one was broken." She answers.
Mariano puffed. He gets sympathetic. "You should help your prima." Mariano suggested.
Dolores gets joyful. "Really?" She added. "Will Senora be all right without me?" Dolores wondered.
Mariano made up his mind. "I will take care of my mama. You just go to the casita with your Tio Bruno. I'll wait to see you soon." He replies.
"And I'll hear you soon too, Mariano." She said.
Bruno rolls his eyes. He sighs. Bruno do not know what Dolores sees in Mariano. Bruno have not been in love with anyone in his life. He has only writes about some romance in his stories. Bruno became nervous.
Mariano glimpsed at him. "Tio Bruno, take care of your sobrinas, alright?" He told him.
Bruno chuckles himself awkwardly in his smile. "Of course, Mariano. It's nice seeing you again." He said.
She goes to her tio. "I'm ready to go back to the casita, Tio Bruno." Dolores said sweetly.
He was eased. "Okay, sobrina." Bruno said.
He leads her a way home.
Mariano waves at both of them.
She waved back at him.
