"I am sorry, doctor, for bothering you at this hour," I said giving the glass of water to him while we both settled ourselves on the couch.

"It's totally fine. I was in the neighbourhood only and you seemed serious about Ms. Rose's condition, so I had to come. Talking about her, how is she?"

"She is fine and sleeping inside."

"She is here? And sleeping?"

"Yes, the effect of medicine made her sleep."

"That's why otherwise I thought how could she sleep?"

"What do you mean?" My perplexed expression didn't go unnoticed by him as he asked,

"You don't know about her condition?" Although my heart skipped a beat hearing the two words, 'Her Condition', I kept my calm and said,

"That's why I have called you. I want to know what is she dealing with. I want to know every detail about her condition."

"Fine, but first can I ask you some questions, if you don't mind?"

"Sure doc. Go ahead."

"Who is she to you? I meant what's your relationship with her?"

I was left speechless, not because of the question put forward in front of me, but because I had no answer.

What's my relationship with her? Friendship? No. Then, what am I to her?

Seeing me troubled he said, "Mr. Kapoor if you don't want to answer, it's fine. I just wanted to know how are you going to handle the truth."

"The truth is always bitter you know and if she is someone close to you, which I think she is, then it might be hard for you to listen."

"I don't care doc, how much harsh the truth is, but I want to know," I said unsure of myself whether I will be affected badly or not.

"As you say."

Taking a deep breath he started,

"Rose is suffering from PTSD, Post-traumatic stress disorder." I felt someone just punched me in the gut. I know what it is.

"It's a mental health condition which is triggered by a terrifying event- either by experiencing it or witnessing it. In Rose's condition, it's both."

"Both?" I asked in shock.

"Yes. She had scars on her body which seemed 2-3years old and if she is still in that state that means she has witnessed something horrifying too apart from being suffered from any incident."

"It affects every individual differently. Like for some, symptoms don't even appear even after a lot of years but for people like Rose, it appears instantly."

"These symptoms are generally grouped into four types."

"The first symptom is termed as Intrusive Memories. In this, the patient starts having nightmares about the traumatic incident and the distressing memories start hovering the patient's mind. The patient might show physical reactions to something that keeps reminding them of the incident."

"The second type is Avoidance. Here patient tries to avoid the things, places, or the activities that keep reminding him of the incident."

"The third type is Negative Changes In Thinking And Mood. A lot of symptoms comes under this type, such as:

Having negative thoughts, memory problems, and..."

"Memory problems?" I asked in disbelief. That's why she doesn't remember me.

"Yes, the patient might start to forget the important aspect of his/her life including the events of the traumatic incident. But in the case of Rose, it seems she remembers the traumatic incident but has forgotten other important things, like her name."

"Saavi."

"Huh?"

"Her name is Saavi."

"If you don't mind can I ask you from when do you know her?"

"Childhood. I have known her for 7 years."

Looking at his surprised expression I added further, "we lost connection after school."

He nodded and continued further.

"So type 3 has more symptoms, which includes: difficulty experiencing positive emotions and feeling emotionally numb."

"Coming to the last type which is, Changes In Physical And Emotional Reactions which is also called Arousal Symptoms."

He sighed audibly and continued further,

"The symptoms of this type include, being easily frightened, always being on guard for danger, trouble speaking, concentrating, overwhelming guilt or shame, and lastly self-destructive behaviour."

He paused for a while and then again started, "Unfortunately Rose had shown signs of every type and most of them were of type 4. I know what she tried to do today morning as Mrs. Maria called to inform me. I was shocked but took a breath of relief when she told me she is fine."

I just stayed there in silence, staring at the wall in front of me. I was just too shocked to respond for a while. The only question which was running into my mind at that time was Why Her?

She was the one who used to lighten up my mood with just her smile and look how the tables have turned, she lost that one precious thing I could have done anything for her, her smile.

The doctor too didn't say anything for a while. I calmed myself a bit and asked,

"How will she be healed?"

"I was waiting when you will ask that."

"So, the medicines are alternative in this case and the major treatment is through therapy. But there is a problem in Rose's case. She hasn't spoken a single word and I don't know since when. Even though she was brought to NGO three months ago, but I believe that she has not spoken anything for a very long time. The therapy can only proceed if she will speak."

"Do you believe that she can speak?"

"Of course she can. There is nothing wrong with her vocal cords. She is just in shock." Relief passed through me when I heard that. That answer removed all my doubts.

"There is more to it." the doctor said before continuing further.

"Rose has problems sleeping. In the last 3 months, she has not taken her sleep for more than 280 hours which is approx 40 days as the 7-hour sleep rule. The trauma has impacted her in such a manner that she doesn't seem her real self. Even though I don't know what was she like before but I know that she was something different."

"She had the best smile, a smile anyone could die for. She was as kind as an angel and her heart was as pure as the driven snow. She was so forgiving that she even forgave the ones who have wronged her. And her voice was angelic, just like a nightingale."

Giving me curious glances he said, "You are making me curious Mr. Kapoor, about your relation with her."

I chuckled bitterly at it and said, "My relation... Our relationship doesn't have a name but it's pure as she is." I looked at the time and realized it was late as Mr. Morrison had to go home as well so I said,

"I am sorry doc. I have taken a lot of time of yours."

"It's fine Mr. Kapoor but before going I would like to give some instructions. Try not to give her any sleeping pills, and keep the environment homely to her. She needs only one three things, care, love, and attention, and that too 24*7, and that's not possible in any NGO."

Instructing me about her medicines and other stuff he left.

After he was gone I made my way towards my room where Saavi was sleeping. Sitting beside her on the bed, I brushed the few strands of hair away from her angelic face.

I pushed the sleeves of her tee to the elbow, and there were some scars as told by the doctor. They looked old but the real question was why were the scars on her body. I trembled even at the thought of what had happened to her.

I called my security chief Andrew without bothering about the time.

"Hello, Andrew. I need you to find out about someone. Saavi Bhatt, she used to study with me in the same school, NewBoon International School in India, she left suddenly one day. Find out everything about her. I want every single detail from her birth till present, you got it?"

"yes, sir."

"Good and I will send you some additional details as well. Use how many men you want to, if they need money just give them how much amount they ask for but I need information in 15 days, not even a single day more than that. Am I clear?"

"The file of the details will be on your table on the fifteenth day, sir."

"Good," I said and hung up the call.

I wish I would have listened to my friends when they were asking me to go look for my love. I did the biggest mistake of not listening to my heart when it was screaming to go and find my Saavi. I have wronged her too.

Taking her small hand in mine, I kissed it. Intertwining our hands I said,

"I don't know what has happened to you my muffin. I don't know anything and it hurts to see you like this, in this state. I still remember that day when I took you to the hospital the day you fainted 7 years ago. That day I made a promise to myself that I will never let you be in that condition. But I couldn't keep up my promise.

I am really sorry my love, I am really very sorry.

I was naive back then, but not anymore. I promise you, love, I will do anything in my power to punish those who have wronged you. You were kind enough to always forgive everyone and I also have shown enough kindness and mercy to others. But not this time, I will make sure to make every one of them plead for their lives in front of you, I swear on my death.

But, before that, I need to heal you and I will. I know it's going to be difficult and there will be times when I might start to believe that it's impossible but I will not stop trying. I will try again and again, to take out your real self which you have been hiding from others. I will remove all your insecurities, will pull you out of the darkness, will love you in the way like no one else has ever loved anyone. I won't stop till I hear my name again from your mouth, till I bring back that precious smile on your face. I promise you this love, I will be your Healer."
