A week later.

September 7, 2006. 

Thursday.

Seth Clearwater decided to accompany his mother Sue Clearwater to the Black residence. He carried a tray of food that Sue made for Billy and Jacob. He walks towards the house and sees Sue politely knock on the door. He hears footsteps walking towards the door. He looks forward and smiles when he sees Bella's father, Charlie Swan opening the door. 

" Hey, Chief!" Seth happily greets him.

" Hey, kiddo" Charlie smiles at Seth. " Hello, Sue" He nods his head when he sees Sue standing next to Seth. " Billy and Jacob are inside waiting for you two" He tells them. 

Seth and Sue enter the house. They happily greet Billy and Jacob who are watching TV. Seth walks to the dining table and puts the tray of food down. He turns around and walks back to the living room as he sits on the couch next to Jacob.

" Hey, Jacob. Heard from Bella and Edward, yet?" Seth curiously asked him.

Jacob shakes his head.

" No. He probably changed her to a vampire right about now" He mumbles. 

Charlie walks up to the boys. 

" What are you two boys talking about?" He puts his hands on both of their shoulders.

Seth and Jacob tensed up. 

" Hahaha" Seth nervously laughed. " I was asking Jacob if he heard from Bella" He looks up at Charlie.

Charlie blinks. 

" Bella called me yesterday. She told me that she got sick with a bug" He tells the boys.

Seth and Jacob looked at each other.

" I'm going out" Jacob stands up.

" I'll go with him" Seth stands up as well. 

Charlie blinks when he sees both boys leave the house. He turns to look at Billy and Sue with a confused expression. 

Billy and Sue looked at each other with a knowing stare. They turned to look at Charlie.

" The boys probably want to do their own things than hang out with us cool adults" Billy chuckles.

Sue giggles.

Charlie laughs a little and smiles at them. 

Seth follows Jacob out of the house.

" Jacob. Please don't tell me that you are planning to visit the Cullens" He looks at his friend with a worried expression.

" I'm sorry, Seth, but I am going to visit the Cullens. I just want to make sure if he transformed her into a vampire or not" Jacob gets on his motorcycle. 

Seth looks at Jacob with a worried expression. He is worried about Edward's life because he likes Edward and considers him a dear friend.

" Well. I'm going with you!" He gets behind Jacob and stares at him. 

" Seth" Jacob mumbles. " You don't have to come with me" He tells him. " You know how Leah gets when you go to the Cullen house" He turns his head back to look at him.

" Leah is not here, and besides I turned 15-years-old this year in January. I am practically a teenager, and she can't tell me what to do" Seth smiles at him.

" Alright. If you say so" Jacob looks away from Seth and turns his motorcycle on as he drives away from his house and heads towards the Cullen house. 

Thirty-five minutes later. 

Seth and Jacob arrived at the Cullen house. Seth follows Jacob up the front door and frowns when he sees Jacob banging on the door.

" Jacob! Be nice" Seth pouts.

Jacob rolls his eyes.

Seth and Jacob look forward seeing Carlisle opening the door.

" Where is she?" Jacob asked Carlisle with a serious expression.

" She's upstairs" Carlisle tells him.

Jacob walks past Carlisle and enters the house. Seth looks at Carlisle with an apologetic expression.

" I'm sorry about him" Seth tells him.

Carlisle smiles at him.

" You may see her if you like" He tells him. " I know Edward and Bella like your presence" He looks at him.

Seth smiles at Carlisle.

" Thanks, Doc" He walks with Carlisle into the house and follows him to the living room. " Hey, Edward!" He looks forward and smiles when he sees Edward. 

Edward turns to look at Seth and smiles at him. He is glad to see Seth because his thoughts are pure, unlike Jacob. 

Jacob looks at Bella, but Rosalie was standing between them which blocked his view of Bella.

" Don't take a step closer, you mutt" Rosalie hissed feeling protective of Bella. 

Jacob glares at Rosalie.

" Rosalie. It's okay..." Bella reassured Rosalie. " I'm okay with Jacob and Seth looking at me" She tells her.

Rosalie turns to look at Bella.

" Alright, but wrong move. I'll have their heads" She tells her as she steps to the side letting the guys look at Bella.

Jacob looks at Bella and smiles at her. He could still see her chocolate brown eyes which let him know that she isn't a vampire. 

" Hey" His expression softens when he looks at Bella.

Bella smiles at Jacob.

" Hey, Jacob" She nods her head.

" Charlie told me that you got a bug. From the look of it, it sure got you good" Jacob tells her.

Bella laughs a little.

Seth walks towards Bella and smiles at her.

" I miss ya, Bella. How was your trip with Edward?" He happily asked her.

Bella glanced at Edward and then looks at the boys. She lightly bites her lips feeling worried about their reaction to her being pregnant. She turns to look at Rosalie.

" Rosalie. Can you help me?" She asked her.

" Of course!" Rosalie walks to Bella and helps her up. 

Jacob and Seth curiously stare at Bella. Their eyes widened when they see Bella stand up and the blanket falls to the floor revealing a big pregnant belly.

" Y-You're" Jacob stuttered.

" You're pregnant!" Seth happily shouts. " Congratulations!" He jumps up and down. " How many months are you? Is the baby going to be a boy or a girl? Are you having twins? Because that belly is huge. Wait. Doesn't it take a woman nine months to get pregnant? Probably, it's because you are carrying a vampire's baby, so it's different?" He asked himself questions.

Bella smiles at Seth.

She finds his reaction rather adorable. She turns to look at Jacob and frowns when she sees him angrily shaking. 

" You can't be pregnant!" Jacob angrily shouts at Bella. 

Bella tensed up feeling scared of Jacob. She wasn't aware of her baby kicking her because it is scared of Jacob's voice. 

Seth noticed, and something inside him becomes protective of Bella. He turns around and stands between Bella and Jacob. He looks at Jacob with a serious expression.

" Jacob. Stop shouting at Bella. You are scaring her!" He shouts at him.

Jacob is surprised that Seth stood up to him. He angrily stares at Seth and then looks away from him. He turns to stare at Edward who is wearing a guilty expression.

" You and me. Outside. Now" Jacob angrily growls as he runs out of the house.

Edward runs out of the house as well.

" Jacob! Edward!" Bella shouts feeling worried that Jacob is going to kill Edward. " Seth!" She turns to look at Seth. " Please, don't let him kill Edward" Tears falls from her eyes.

Seth turns to look at Bella.

" Don't worry. I'll protect Edward for you" He reassures her as he runs out of the house.

Bella stood there as she gently placed her hands on her pregnant stomach. She slowly sits down on the couch and sighs sadly. She prays that Seth would stop Jacob from doing anything bad to her husband.
