“Sis Zamo and the baby can take my seat.” The stranger.
“No ways, what about me. Lesedi doesn’t need the experience.” Kea.
“You can take mine.” The other guy.
“No, please.  She is good.” I say.
“Never, thank you kind man. Let me rush before I die without experiencing the good life.” Kea.
“For the co-pilot, Mathew and I will give up our seats.” The white man says laughing.
Zamo, Kea, Khoti and Lesedi got first class seats. Otsile was annoyed by this. I can’t even think why she was bothered since she didn’t contribute for the trip.
Arriving at O.R Tambo. The stranger and his friends help us with our bags. My dad is waiting for Otsile and my younger sisters.
Karabo had her car parked at my house, and my car we left at the airport. The strangers friends pushed our luggage to the parking while he carried Lesedi.
“I like him for you.” Karabo.
“Don’t hold your breath.” Zamo.
“Why not?” Karabo.

“This crazy girl blocks every guy who asks for numbers.” Zamo says and I laugh.
“Remember that guy from the petrol station, poor guy helped you with your tires and asked for a cup of coffee at the same petrol station.” Zamo.
I laugh remembering the guy. He looked like those gangsters from the location with his gold chain, Carvela suede black, Dickie’s pants and a shiny floral shirt, a fade haircut and he drives a pimped Tazz that was dropped, black and gold rims.
His greeting was the only reason I turned him down. He called me “Le Pakistan.” That blew his chances. I hate being cat called. Men used to catcall me growing up and I hated my body for that reason, it took me years before I was comfortable wearing fitted clothing.
I was going to meet up with him but after that name. I gave him my correct numbers which he dialled immediately after I gave them to him, checking whether they are really mine or not.
I blocked him soon as I drove into my house. Zamo laughed realizing what I was doing.
“Earth to Fifi. Your friends are leaving.” Karabo calls out.
“Sorry, thank you for everything.” I give him a hug; he hangs on a little longer.
“We will talk soon as I land.” He says.
I nod getting into the car. He closes my door for me.  Karabo drives us to my house.
“Are you going to meet up with him?” Karabo asks and I laugh.
“That’s a NO.” Zamo.
“Come on, I’m not that bad. If he comes back and I’m free, I will meet up with him. He is easy to talk to.”
“Please, I’m not saying marry him or anything just go out.” Karabo.
“We will see. What’s wrong with your sister?” I ask.
“ I don’t know, I thought you didn’t notice her, Kea asked her what’s up, but she said we were reading too much into it.” Karabo.
“I am honestly done trying with her, she hates me, and I’m cool with it, now that things are better, I don’t have to go home every day. We won’t see each other that much.” I say.
“I thought you guys would be good by now especially since she was supportive last year.” Karabo.
“I thought so to until she told your aunt that I refused to give her child money.” I sigh.
“When was this?” Karabo.
“Before your wedding, remember I told you all that Sedi and I were good, and you didn’t need to come sleep over every day? Well, she came to the house for a sleepover and asked for money saying it was for Entle,
I didn’t have at the time, she told me that I was self-absorbed, and  I was using you all for my selfish reasons.  She knew that Bongs left me money, but I was too selfish to share.” I say.
“No, how come you didn’t say anything?” Karabo.
“You had a lot going on, why do you think she insisted on us going to the V&A for shopping at those stores? She feels that I owe her Bongs’ money.”
“You need to speak to your dad.” Karabo.
“No thanks. I don’t owe Otsile anything. She can throw tantrums all she wants but she’s getting nothing from me, the money Bongs left is for Lesedi.”
“I think she’s jealous of you.” Zamo.
“Jealous of what Zamo? I work a 9-5, I lost my husband,  I’m single with a child.” I ask.
“You guys need to talk it out.” Karabo.
“She is way older than I am, it’s not my fault things aren’t going well for her.”
“Maybe you should go for counselling.” Karabo.
“Aowa Karabo, counselling because of Mjolo now I must counsel for Otsile who feels entitled? Haibo aneva, I don’t have money to play, I will continue being civil with her. Don’t worry,  so what are your plans for tonight seeing your hubby?” I ask.
“I don’t know, I have to do our laundry, maybe just dinner.”
“Cuddles, oh I miss those.” I say.
“You could be cuddling in that dropped Tazz.” Zamo and Karabo laugh.
“Yho, aneva I’d rather get a puppy. Remember Moja was also a Carvela wearing cheat.” I laugh.
“I had forgotten about that fool.” Karabo.
“Who is he?” Zamo.
“Satan’s twin brother.” Karabo laughs.
“Go home Mrs.  Cook for your man, bring the laundry here I will do it tomorrow.” I say.
“Thank you, sissy.” Karabo.
Karabo drives out and we lock the doors. I take a bath with Lesedi. Zamo is somewhere in the house, I think unpacking and packing for her trip tomorrow morning, she is going home for the weekend since she was away now.

Lerato, Lesedi le Kganya.
