Since all the stuff that's happened with Dust, everyone decided to take a little break for themselves. After all, Killer had said that they all deserved it. Dream didn't know whether or not he just meant himself and didn't say so or if he really meant it. It didn't matter. Dream had decided to spend the day with Cross. He felt like they never spent any time together, and felt they were on different wave lengths. But he didn't know. He was probably just being paranoid. Dream sighed and looked at his boyfriend. Sort of boyfriend. He didn't really know at the moment.
"Cross, we're good, right?" Cross startled out of his thoughts and looked at Dream.
"Yeah, why wouldn't we be?" Then his eyes widened. "Did I do something wrong?" Dream shook his head.
"No, I just feel like things have been a little... off with us recently. The relationship seems distant. I don't know." Cross sighed.
"Well, I don't think it's like that. Is everything okay Dream?" Dream nodded, though it was probably too fast, seeing as Cross lowered his eyes suspiciously. "Dream, you can tell me when something's wrong. You don't have to keep it to yourself." Dream crossed his arms.
"You can take your own advice." Cross laughed.
"Yeah, I guess so, but everything is fine right now. Is everything fine with you?" Dream sighed.
"I don't know. You know the feeling when something's wrong but you don't necessarily know what's wrong?" Cross nodded.
"That's kinda how I feel." Cross frowned. "Do you think you'll be okay, or do you wanna talk about it?" Dream sighed and fell back on the bed into Cross' lap.
"I don't know. I don't really know what's wrong. Whether it has to do with you, or my brother, or someone else, I don't know what to do about it. If it's about you, I can talk to you, but if it's about my brother... that's a little bit harder." Cross hummed.
"How so?"
"I mean... he's just a very difficult person to get through to. I'm surprised Killer did it so easily." Cross laughed.
"Yeah, how did he do that anyway? It's been years and I still feel like I haven't broken through to him." Dream sighed.
"I don't know. I don't know a lot of things at the moment, and that's the problem." Dream groaned and sat up, screaming into a pillow. "I just want everyone to be okay and fine, but I don't think they are. I mean, we all did run off a few days ago at lunch..." Cross sighed.
"Yeah, Dust is just... he's got a lot going on, I guess. But that's not for you to worry about. What you need to worry about is yourself." Dream groaned again.
"I do worry about myself. I probably worry too much about myself. I don't know. Do you think I worry too much?" Cross shook his head.
"I mean, when you worry too much that it's hurting yourself, then yeah. But I don't think you're hurting anyone by worrying." Dream nodded and hugged himself.
"Yeah, I don't think I'm hurting anyone either." Just then, Cross engulfed him, and Dream couldn't stop himself from blushing. His entire face was just... covered in blush.
"You know, if you do ever change your mind and wanna talk about it, I'm always here. You know that, right?" Dream nodded and leaned into Cross' touch.
"Mhm. I know."
Lust was staring at Horror. He seemed to have a lot on his mind lately, but Lust couldn't figure out what it was. Finally, he sighed.
"Horror, what's wrong? You seem really out of it." Horror seemed to snap out of his thoughts as he turned to Horror, still seeming half out of it. Lust frowned. "You know, if something's bothering you, you could talk to me about it. I wouldn't judge you. I'd try my best to listen and understand." Horror sighed.
"Yeah, I know you would. That's what I love about you, Lust. You're such a patient person." Lust blushed, but pouted.
"Hey! You can't just get out of telling me what's wrong by complimenting me. It doesn't work like that!" Horror chuckled, but Lust crossed his arms. "You're mean." He said, turning his head away from him. Horror only laughed at this.
"You wanna know what's been going through my head?" Lust looked at Horror, but only through one eye, seeing as his head will still turned. "I was just thinking about how cute you are." Lust blushed, but glared.
"Liar." Horror sighed.
"You're so smart, you know that? I've just been worried about Dust. I think a lot of people are, especially Nightmare. I mean, you know how he gets when he's worried." Lust sighed and turned to face Horror.
"Yeah, I do. What happened?" Horror's eyes trailed to the side.
"I don't know. He just got really... defensive and angry and he seemed so desperate to do something." Lust sighed and leaned his skull on Horror's shoulder.
"You said he was doing better though, right?" Horror nodded.
"Yeah, I think so. I think this whole break is ridiculous. Killer just called it because he wanted to spend alone time with Nightmare." Lust snorted, but quickly covered his mouth. Horror stared at him blankly, before he started laughing.
"Hey! That's not funny!" Horror wiped away invisible tears.
"It's funny 'cause of how cute you are." Lust flushed as he wondered if Horror really thought those things about him, or if he was just trying to justify him making fun of Lust. Either way, it was still annoying. "Ah, come on. Don't look at me like that."
"Don't make fun of me." Horror smiled at Lust, before leaning on his shoulder. Lust was blushing so much as he looked at Horror, wide eyed.
"I love ya, you dummy." Lust was still blushing when he said
"I love you too."
"It was aliens. Final conclusion." Error stared at Ink, confused. But Ink only laughed. "What? It's true." Error shook his head.
"Nothing you say is ever true Ink. Besides, if you're so curious, why don't you just go ask them?" Ink shook his head, and Error rolled his eyes. "You're such a baby." Ink shook his head again. Error still didn't understand why Ink was making up a bunch of ideas on what happened to Dust, when his room was, like, right across the hall. Ink glared at him. "What?"
"I know what you're thinking, and don't you dare think it. You've been coming up with theories too." Error sighed and stood up.
"It was entertaining for a little while, but now you're just being annoying. Besides, you can just ask Nightmare if you don't wanna ask Dust." Ink shivered.
"No. He gives me the creeps. And, Cross told me he was a witch, and I don't trust witches." His eyes lit up, and Error rolled his own. "What if Nightmare did some weird witch spell on him?" Error sighed.
"You know, sadly, that theory is probably the one that holds the most water." Ink proudly put a hand to his chest.
"Yes, I'm so smart." Error rolled his eyes again, traveling down to Ink's bed. He tilted his head. Error had never taken the time to actually look at Ink's bed, but it seemed... interesting. First of all, Error had no idea how Ink made space for his body, seeing as there was laundry, paper, and probably a bunch of other stuff he couldn't see all over it. But, Ink was a very small skeleton, and he could just curl up into an even tinier ball. Error smiled to himself. That would actually probably be a very cute thing to look at. Ink snapped in front of Error's face, and he blinked.
"Hmm, what?"
"I was saying-" he started, annoyed, "-how Blue is never going to be allowed to come back in here, until he apologizes for what he's done. So, we've worked out an arrangement until then." Error stared at Ink, somewhat annoyed, but also, a bit curious to see what he was going to say. "So, since Me and Blue share a room, you and Nightmare share a room, and Killer and Dust share a room, I was thinking that Blue could stay in Dust's room, Killer could stay in Nightmare's room, and you could stay in this room, with me." He seemed so happy. Ink was smiling ear to ear, closing his eyes. When Error didn't say anything, Ink opened his eyes and frowned. "It'd just be temporary. Obviously. Blue will apologize at some point. I think." Error stood up and walked over to Ink. Ink stared up at him, nervous. Error had never really let himself think Ink was cute without getting annoyed with himself or the small skeleton, but he didn't find himself annoyed at either of them. "Uh... Error?" Error looked at Ink, blinking.
"Hmm? Oh yeah, sounds great. Whatever you want." He said, waving his hand through the air and going back to the bed.
"Okay, cool!"
"Ugh, how do you sleep on this thing?" Ink shrugged when Error looked back at him.
"I don't know, I just do I guess." Error chuckled and looked back at the bed.
"You're adorable, you know that?" Ink proudly put a hand to his chest.
"Yes I do."
lol Ink literally just never cleaning his bed is so funny to me
