You all eventually make it to your destination. It was easy to forget that you all were in Japan but seeing the great Buddha of Kamakura really solidified this reality as your current one, the possibility of all this being a weird nightmare definitely crumbles into nothing and you just hope your parents statues are alright.

"HOT SPRINGS" Yuzuriha and Tajiu yell. You can't help but get excited yourself. 'Finally some well needed relaxation time. You look towards your right and see the breathtaking view that is Mount Fuji and for a moment all you feel is joy.

"You three better have not forgotten why we're here. We're making gunpowder not having a spa day"

Senku definitely tried to kill the vibes but the hot springs energy was too powerful, you say

"Correction YOU will be making the gunpowder and WE will be in the hot springs, have fun tho"

You blow an imaginary kiss Senkus way and he grabs it and stomps on it

"Fine, after you all 'relax' then you can join me'

Senku grumbles as he walks away to admire the precious resources all around by himself. You and Yuzuriha giggle but take this as a win. ' I can't wait to relax all this walking has really killed me'

~ time skip to you vibin inside the hot springs ~

'Hot water is such a blessing. I can almost feel all my worries melt away, almost'

"Can I join you?"

Hearing Senku's voice on the other side of the hot springs behind the makeshift bamboo wall reminded you why your worries were almost away and not completely gone.

"Last time I checked, I don't own the hot spring"

"I suppose that's true."

You both can hear Taiju and Yuzurihas laughs in the distance. You shift in the water and get closer to the bamboo wall to hear Senku better, he does the same, not that either of you notice.

"They seem to be having fun" Senku points out, you hum in agreement.

Senku looks towards the bamboo wall separating the both of you.

"Are you having fun? I know making gunpowder may not be the most interesting thing in the world but.."

You chuckle and look towards the bamboo wall

"As long as I'm with you, I'll always have fun don't stress it"

You realize what you said and your face heats up 'thank god he's on the other side, I say the stupidest shit sometimes I swear'. Senkus face also heats up although his is much more noticeable not that you can see it. He clears his throat and says

"I'm- im glad you feel that, uh that way. Yes, our purpose here is very important so I'm happy to see everyone uh, on board."

You laugh, senku struggled so hard to say that sentence you're honestly baffled,

"You good Senku? the water isn't too hot for you?" You say in between laughs it's so funny hearing Senku not articulate himself as clearly as he usually does, you wonder what happened to cause him to act this way.

"I AM COMPLETELY FINE. Iwasjustexpressinghowteamworkisreallytheonlywaywewouldbeabletodothisandinorderforthecreationtoworkeveryonehastobeonboard-"

"Alright, alright I get it, when you talk too fast my brain doesn't keep up, slow down"

You're still laughing at this point and Senku sighs in defeat. He really can't believe he just made a fool out of himself. Feeling brave you say

"Don't feel too down, its cute when you talk fast"

You immediately cover your face with both hands out of instinct, even though he can't see you, sometimes your ideas sound better in your head than in actuality and by sometimes it's actually all the times.

There's an awkward silence before you hear senku get up and say

"Well..... i'll be going now. I hate when my skin gets all prune like from the water. See you later"

You say goodbye to Senku and once again you are alone. You don't hate the silence it's actually really nice and gives you time to think. You think of everything, the journey you just had, the view, your friends, Senku, Senku being right next to you, Senku on the other side, Senku nak- You stand up I'm immediately 'ALRIGHT THAT'S ENOUGH THINKING' you grab your towel and clothes to go change, it seems you've finally had enough of the hot springs.

You're lying inside you're little makeshift bed and looking up at the sky, Yuzuriha awes at the view

"The stars are so pretty, living in the city I never got a chance to really look at them.

You hum in agreement and say

"The stone worlds really forcing us to finally slow down and take in life all around us, its one of the things i enjoy"

"Having you guys here with me is the part I enjoy the most. I wouldn't dream of having it any other way" Taiju states

"Alright enough gawking, go to bed we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.
