TW/CW - Talk of blood, injuries, & blood drinking.

-πŸ’™-πŸ’›-🌈-πŸ’›-πŸ’™-

Frantic sobs echoed throughout the room. The sobbing was only stopped by hyperventilating breaths. Dream had his ear to the door, concern for his friend who was inside the room rising. He wasn't 100% sure what exactly was happening, but he would be able to handle it.

Trauma response, panic attack, anxiety attack, didn't matter. Dream could take care of it. It was his job after all.

A few good knocks on the door caused the man inside to go silent. Dream gently tapped the door with his knuckles, waiting for a response.

And a response he got, sharp and uncharacteristically aggressive: "GO AWAY!"

Dream whistled at the sudden burst of anger, and opened the door anyway. "Now I know I can't leave you alone now. What's goin- ooh."

The bed in the room had been destroyed, and all of the bedsheets and blankets had been torn off the bed. And in the corner of the room, they were bundled up around the occupant of the room.

"Hey buddy, what's the matter?" Dream said softly, approaching the ball of blankets.

"Stop it! Go away! I'm going to hurt you!"

Dream snorted, "You? Hurt me? Not in a million years." He crouched down by the blankets and began to slowly peel them back.

"Dream," the voice was muffled still, but it was clear that he was sobbing, "Please, don't do this. Just leave me alone."

"We both know I can't do that, B," Dream said, pulling the final blanket away.

Blue had his hands covering his face, knees pulled into his chest. He was shivering and pressed up as far into the corner of the room as he could. He refused to let Dream pry his hands away from his face, shaking his head in response.

"Let me see you. There's nothing that you could've done to scare me away."

And that was enough to convince him. When Dream pulled his hands into his lap, he didn't stop him. He whimpered slightly and squeezed his eyes shut. Not wanting to look Dream in his eyes. His perfect, golden eyes.

"Oh shit? You're all bloody, buddy." Dream said, caressing Blue's cheek. He pulled a scrap of fabric from his back pocket. It was from a project that he was planning on doing, but honestly? He doubted that he would actually end up doing it, and besides, this was more important.

Blue had blood all along the bottom of his face. His cheeks and chin had small droplets of warm, bright red blood. And his mouth was the epicenter. That is where all the blood came from. Which was...odd. Dream took the cloth and wiped around his cheeks and chin, unfazed by the blood.

A small whimper left Blue's bloodstained lips, opening his eyes to see a Dream who was perfectly calm. Dream tapped his lips, and used his finger to open his mouth. When he did so, it revealed a set of fangs, covered in blood as well.

"Well, now would you look at that." Dream muttered, pulling his finger out of Blue's mouth and tossing the bloody cloth into the pile of destroyed blankets.

"So, vampire huh?"

Blue felt tears rising in him again. And this time, he didn't stop them. Cold tears ran down his face, his blue eyes filled with confusion and shame.

"What is wrong with you?!" Dream looked more shocked at the sudden aggression than anything else.

"Why aren't you reacting?! I'm covered in blood, I-I have fangs, I hurt someone! Why aren't you doing anything?!" Blue shouted at him, leaning closer. His hands were gripping some imaginary object, his nails digging into his skin.

The guardian cocked his head to the side and grabbed Blue's hands, intertwining their fingers. "There is nothing you could do that would ever, and I mean ever, make me afraid of you."

"Dream I hurt someone!"

"I know that. But I know you didn't mean it." Dream cupped Blue's cheeks, wiping the tears with his thumb. "You? Hurt someone on purpose? Not gonna happen."

Blue dove into Dream's arms. Hugging and holding him like his life was on the line. Dream squeezed him in return, running his hand up and down Blue's back.

"What happened, B?"

"I-I don't know. I was attacked, I think. A month or so ago. They," he swallowed. "Bit my neck. I didn't realize what had happened. I thought it was fine, that I was fine, but, yesterday, I just couldn't take it anymore! I was so hungry, I went to a timeline and just-"

Blue pulled away, their arms still holding onto each other. He made a biting motion with his mouth. Dream nodded along, listening to whatever Blue had to say.

"I don't know if they lived or not. I feel like absolute shit right now." Tears threaten to fall out of his eyes once again. Although he appeared a bit better mentally by getting it off of his chest.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I can handle it on my own!"

"Just because you can doesn't mean you have to. I can tell you right now that you didn't harm that person horribly."

"How?"

"You're still starving. I can tell, your throat just looks tight. Not to mention most of the blood got on your face, not in your mouth. You're a pretty shitty vampire." Dream said, a smug grin appearing on his face.

"You're a douche." Blue teased back, wiping his eyes. "How can you be joking at a time like this? You should be horrified that this happened to me!"

"Maybe in another day, another timeline I would be. But, honestly? It's a little selfish but I can rest easy now."

"What?" Blue's voice was hushed, quiet.

"I won't have to worry about you leaving me anymore."

Dream smiled at him, as if a thousand years of worry and despair had been taken off of his shoulders. He looked so tired.

"Oh." That was the only response Blue had. He supposed he had never thought of it that way. With Dream being immortal and he, well before his transformation, being mortal, he would've eventually died. And Dream probably would've really missed him.

"Plus! I can't really die sooooo..." he tilted his neck to the side, "Drink up babe."

"WHUH- Dream! Don't do that!" Blue lurched back, pointing his nose and mouth away from Dream's neck.

"Come on," Dream cooed, "I know you want to. I bet my blood tastes real good."

"Stop it! I'm not going to drink from you!"

Dream frowned, almost pouted, in response. "You need to feed, and I won't die if you do. It's a win-win situation."

"I don't want to hurt you!"

"Making me repeat myself? I can't believe you." Dream teased, pressing a kiss to Blue's cheek, causing him to flush deeply, "You cannot hurt me. Even if you tried."

Blue took a deep breath. And nodded. He had to admit, Dream smelled amazing. His immortal blood pumping through his veins was driving Blue a little stir-crazy. And as gently as he could, he bit down into Dream's dark brown flesh.

Dream didn't even flinch, and didn't make a sound as Blue began to suck out his blood.

The room was filled with Blue's soft moans of ecstasy and the sound of him sucking the blood out. He couldn't help it, Dream's blood was perfect. His sweet, sweet, delectable golden blood. It was nothing he had ever tasted before.

Tears slipped out of his eyes. Not out of pain, nor fear, but from joy. Pure ambrosia was being given to him, feeding into his mouth and running down his throat. Blue clung to Dream as if he was the thing keeping him alive, his nails digging into the leather jacket he wore.

Blood seeped into Dream's shirt. He wormed a little out of the jacket, so nothing got on it. He heaved a little, biting his lip as Blue continued to swallow his blood. His teeth were tightly lodged into the skin, and the blood pooled in his mouth.

The two tumbled over as Blue's desperation increased. Dream's head landed on the nearby blankets. His hands reached up to grab Blue's waist, squeezing his hips as he did so.

Blue couldn't help but groan and heave as he stayed on top of Dream. His sweet blood and his gentle touch drove him crazy.

Dream whimpered slightly and that was Blue's cue to pull away, his hunger satisfied. He slowly pulled his teeth out of Dream's neck, golden blood seeping off of them. He sat up, resting on top of Dream's hips. His head tilted back as he breathed heavily.

A hand reached up and tilted his chin back down. A few droplets ran down his lips, and his tongue caught them before they could dribble down his face.

"You look real sexy from this angle," Dream said, one of his arms casually placed behind his head. The wound on his neck was already beginning to heal, thanks to his immortal abilities. Blue's cheeks flushed and he hid behind his scarf. Blue shifted and smacked down on the ground next to Dream.

"Are you alright?" Blue asked, his voice trapped between silence and a whisper.

"'Course I am."

"You...made a noise."

Dream snorted. "You made many noises." He flicked Blue's nose, "It was cute."

"Dream I'm serious!"

"It didn't hurt, alright? It," he waved his hands around in a circle, eyes closed and contemplating. Trying to find a word. "It tickled a little, to be honest."

"Really?"

"Mhm. And listen," Dream turned onto his side, cupping Blue's face with his hand. "If anything like this happens to you again, or if anything bad happens and you're in trouble, come to me. Tell me, talk to me. I can help you, always."

Blue put his hand over Dream's, a small smile appearing on his lips. "I know."

"Now gimmie a kiss vampire boy!" Dream shouted, a sly and devilish grin appearing on his face. Blue squeaked as Dream pressed their lips together. He embraced him, now having the taste of the guardian's lips and blood on his tongue.
