Strong arms wrapped around her waist and Dani's eyes slightly opened. She felt kisses tickling down her back and she grinned.

"Good morning Apple Jax," she said softly, a smile on her lips.

"Good morning, Panda Eyes."

"Considering your two black eyes, you look more like the Panda Eyes than I do," Dani giggled.

"Touché," Jax chuckled as he placed a hand over his face, "Dani, what are we going to do?"

"One, you're going to stop making decisions without talking to me first. Two, we're going to have breakfast. Three, you're going to make said breakfast."

Jax's lips turned upward in a lazy smile, "Dani, did I ever tell you that I like this bossy side of you?"

"I'm not being bossy."

"What's this? The feisty side of you? I know that side very well," Jax mumbled, his lips against her neck.

"Jax, I'm serious about what I said last night."

"You said a lot of things last night Dani. We both did."

He was avoiding the subject and Dani's brows knitted together.

"About your brother. I think we should lure him in."

"I'm not taking the chance of using you as possible bait to catch him," Jax rolled away from Dani and out of bed.

"It's our only option," Dani sighed. "You don't have any proof from the past and the only reason he's contacted you was to tell you to break up with me. So if you don't break up with me, it's pretty reasonable to think that he'll contact you again."

"Dani, I understand what you're trying to do and I appreciate it, but-"

"But what? If we don't at least try and stop him what's going to happen next? Who will he go after next?"

"I actually had a theory," Jax said softly, buttoning his pants. "Do you mind getting your sketch pad for me?"

A few minutes later, they were both sitting in Dani's living room, a sketchpad in front of them.

"You drew a wolf when Gladys was attacked. Can I see it again?" Jax asked.

Dani rummaged through her sketchpad and pulled out the picture, "This was it."

"We thought it had to do with Los Lobos locos but other than your dream we couldn't prove anything. That fire almost killed Gladys. There was actually someone else in the fire with her. He didn't make it. They're still trying to identify him."

"What?"

"Besides Gladys, there was someone else in that warehouse. Don't worry about it. My point is, Roberto and I thought Los Lobos Locos were the ones behind Gladys' abduction. I can't exactly go up to Roberto and his brother-in-law with this sketch and tell them that you dreamt it. It was just a hunch we originally had and you verified for me."

"So you think Los Lobos Locos were behind Gladys being hurt? Then how does your brother, Carter, play into all of this?"

"Dolores was also targeted."

"That's true," Dani closed her sketch book. "You aren't thinking that..."

"I am."

"That your brother is somehow involved in Los Lobos Locos?" Dani finished asking.

Jax nodded, "I do. It's the only explanation."

"That's insane. Why would he go through so much trouble? I thought gangs had initiations and stuff."

"They do," Jax said. "For Los Lobos Locos, they have to murder someone before they're allowed in. Then they have to get a tattoo on their arm."

"If Carter is in the gang, that means he's had to kill someone...recently," Dani's mouth dropped open in shock.

"Which is all we have to prove to get him behind bars," Jax looked over at Dani. "He's been keeping tabs on you. You haven't noticed any men with wolf tattoos on their arms, have you?"

He was joking but Dani still sorted through the images in her head.

"No, I haven't noticed anyone with a tattoo like that."

"Dammit," Jax massaged his temples, "This may be harder than I thought."

"So should we rely on my plan?" Dani asked. "We make a show of us being a couple until he contacts you and then we trick him and put him behind bars?"

"Or," Jax said, placing an arm around her, "We find out if he's part of Los Lobos Locos and catch him that way."

Dani nodded, but she knew Jax's idea was going to be difficult. If it was so easy to enter gang territory, the police would've done it already. She decided to let Jax think she was going along with his plan but she knew that she'd have to take action as well if she and Jax were ever going to have a normal relationship.

------------
Calvin stared at his cell phone, waiting for it to ring. When it did, he frowned.

"I'm surprised you took so long to find me," he said.

"It did take me a while to track you down," the caller answered. "I'm not sure what game you're playing right now but it's too dangerous."

Calvin grinned, "Too dangerous?"

"Yes. Why are you getting involved with her about this?"

"Are you really asking me because you don't know or are you just fishing for information?"

The silence on the other line was answer enough.

"Don't worry about what I'm doing. I have everything under control," Calvin glanced at his reflection in the mirror and poked his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

"Sometimes it's best to just forget the past," his caller reminded him.

Calvin shrugged, "This isn't the past. It's the present."

"Please...just stop all of this. She doesn't need to know."

"It's too late for that."

"There's nothing I can say to stop you?" the caller asked.

Calvin laughed, "Why are you so afraid of what she'll think? She may be overjoyed to meet me."

"No, she won't. What you're doing will only hurt her."

"Perhaps. Perhaps not. Mother, this isn't your place to intervene," Calvin reminded her.

"Yes, it is. I'm her mother too."

"I'm not sure she'd agree if we asked her. You're not exactly a contender for mother of the year when it comes to Dani. You never should have kept her a secret."

"Please," Helen pleaded.

"I'll do what I must. Goodbye Mother."

Calvin disconnected the call and tossed his phone on the sofa behind him. He needed to keep watch over Dani's door. He smiled when Detective Jax Michaels was finally leaving. Calvin spied Dani giving Jax a farewell kiss before he sauntered down the hall.

Calvin waited a few minutes before walking to his neighbor's door and knocking.

"Calvin?" Dani asked. "What are you doing here?"

"I w-wanted t-to t-talk t-to you," Calvin said, pushing up his glasses. "M-may I c-come in?"

"No offense Calvin, but I'm not letting anyone in since my apartment is a mess right now," Dani lied.

"Are you s-sure?" Calvin asked, his eyes looking past her and into her apartment.

"I'm positive," Dani answered.

"N-not even if I t-tell you it's a-about y-your mother?"

"What did you just say?" Dani asked.

"M-may I come in?" Calvin asked again.

Dani looked around before allowing Calvin to step inside.

"What's this all about?" Dani's hands were on her hips.

"I-I have a m-message f-for you," Calvin said softly. "You're n-not g-going to like it."

"A message from who?" Dani asked. "My mother?"

Calvin nodded.

"What message could she possibly have for me? Huh? How do you even know her?"

Calvin looked away and then straight into her eyes before answering.

"You're dying."

"Excuse me?" Dani asked, more surprised by his lack of a stutter.

"Your gift is your downfall. Did you know that?" Calvin asked, his voice suddenly changing his appearance. He seemed more aloof...more dangerous.

"Who are you?" Dani whispered. "Why were you pretending to stutter?"

"To get near you of course. It's a shame you kept distancing yourself from me. I saw how close you were to your last neighbor. I thought you'd befriend me as well. I guess I was wrong."

"But why?"

Calvin smiled, "Because of your dreams."

Dani's mouth went dry, "What did you say? How? How did you know-"

"Isn't it obvious Dani? I thought you figured out that I was the one that put the note on your door."

"You were the one that put the note on my door. You know-"

"Your mother didn't want me to meet you. She was afraid you'd get angry."

"How do you know my mother?"

Calvin chuckled, "Because she's my mother too."

"What did you just say?"

"That you have a brother. Surprise!" Calvin lifted his arms in the air and smiled. "More importantly, you have someone you can talk to about your dreams. Or should I say nightmares? That's right, Dani. I'm just like you."

Dani gasped, "You can-"

"Yes," Calvin interrupted her. "I can see people's nightmares."
