You were being shaken awake. "(Y/n)!" Said a deep voice. Your eyelids fluttered open to see your crimson best friend towering over you. "Wake up (y/n)! That bat took the Master Emerald again!" He yelled in your face, causing you to flinch.

You brushed your (h/c) hair out of your face. "Which way did she go?" You inquired, resting a hand on his shoulder.

"Over there, let's go!" He yelled, pointing towards the jungle. You ran after him, still not quite sure where you were going. He stopped in the middle of a beautiful orchard, with apple trees in full bloom, allowing the place to look like there were many pink butterflies resting on the branches.

"Knuckles, this place is so pretty!" You exclaimed, throwing your arms out and spinning.

He mumbled something, which made you stop spinning and take a step towards him.

"What was that?" You asked, cupping your ear and leaning towards him.

"I said it's not as pretty as you," he whispered, a light pink dusting his cheeks.

"Aw, thank you Knuckles," you said, blushing. "Wait, what about the Master Emerald?" You questioned, tilting your head to the side.

"It's not actually gone...that was just an excuse to make you come here with me...Don't worry though, the Chaotix are taking good care of it!" he said, his muzzle becoming more red than his fur.

He stepped towards you, looking at his hands. In one swift motion, he wrapped his arms around your waist while pressing his lips against yours in a captivating kiss.

He quickly pulled back. "I'm sorry (y/n)--mmh!" You cut him short by kissing him once more.

"I love you Knuckie,"
