If you didn't know today was the mass shooting in Flordia where so many innocent lives were lost. I'm so sorry for anyone involved in that mess and my heart goes out to all who were involved.

__________

Dinner lasted about two hours, most of it involing Prussia stuffing his face after the bathroom incident, Germany yelling at Italy to be quieter and eat, and Italy ranting constantly about the wonderful taste of the pasta he was eating and his constant whining about the beers Germany was drinking.

Prussia finished his mashed potatoes and pasta long before his brother and Italy, and he had to admit it was delicious. He decided he'd come back to this restaurant often. Once the other two finished, Italy insisted on paying the bill (which little did the German brothers know, it was free) and the trio exited the restaurant.

"That," Prussia yawned obnoxiously loud, earing a glare from his brother, "was amazing!" Italy beemed with pride and nodded quickly, his curl bouncing around.

"I know right! Oh I love the people here they know how to cook so well! I love coming here so much and I love-" Once again he began ranting, and the three piled into the car. This time Germany managed to get the front seat before Prussia, but he didn't mind. Italy ranted on the way down the dark empty streets of Italy's capital.

It was rather late, around 12 a.m., and Italy's rant finally started to die down. He pulled into a parking lot in front of a grand hotel and switched off the ignition. The three exited the car and Italy danced around it to Germany, jumping in his arms.

"All the nations are staying here for the meetings! I'll stay here too because it'll be fun!" Germany stumbled a little but chuckled quietly and set Italy down.

"Alright, but it's late so let's quickly get to our room. The meetings start tomorrow." Italy nodded in agreement and skipped towards the hotel, slowing as he neared the entrance. Germany followed with Prussia on his heels, and they entered. Italy spoke quickly in his native tongue with the man at the front desk, and within about ten minutes Italy handed Germany a key.

"You and Prussia will stay in one hotel room if you don't mind too much." Italy explained, smiling brightly. Germany made a little grunt in disapproval but nodded and spun on his heels, heading for the elevator door. Prussia followed, but Italy was far behind. As Germany was waiting for the elevator he noticed a missing Italian. He turned to see the small man curled right there on the floor where he decided was a good place to sleep.

Prussia snickered and motioned for Germany to go. Germany rolled his eyes but walked to the small man and scooped him up like a groom would do to a bride and walked to the now open elevator. They stepped in and Prussia stood by the keypad.

"What room does he stay in?" Prussia asked, needing the floor number.

"Uh.." Germany shifted Italy's weight onto one arm and searched his pockets for his wallet. When he found it he quickly slid out the room card and held it to the light. "Room 901, 9th floor." Prussia pressed the button labeled "9" and the elevator jolted as it started up. While Germany was shoving Italy's wallet back into the small man's pocket, with some struggle, Prussia snatched their own keycard.

"Hey!" Germany growled, cradling Italy again. Prussia snickered and eyed their own card. "Room 505, floor 5. Oh come on how come Italy gets the top floor but we don't!" Germany rolled his eyes and snatched the card back.

"Italy gets a top floor room because he practically owns the hotel you dumbass!" The elevator suddenly jolted to a stop and the doors slid open as they reached the 9th floor. The two (and sleeping Italian) stepped out and immediately started down the hall, searching for room 901. Eventually Prussia came across the room and called Germany over. He shuffled for the card again and opened the door, revealing a large, obviously fancy and must-be expensive pent house. There was a grand kitchen when you walked in, followed by a living room and dining room. On both sides split into four bedrooms and full bathrooms, with a large glass chandelier in the centre. The porch door was in the back of the living room and the porch was an elegant black and white carved white cement mix of sculptures and wooden carvings.

Prussia whistled at the sight and immediately started messing with things in the massive kitchen. Germany glared at his older brother as he made his way past the kitchen and towards one of the bedrooms, eventually locating Italy's.

"Don't touch anything you idiot." Germany warned before he carried the sleeping Italian in. Prussia snickered to himself and leaned against the counter, waiting for his brother.

Later that night Prussia laid silently on one of the mattresses in the small hotel room. Germany was fast asleep on the other twin bed across the room, breathing quietly in the way Prussia recognised since the man was a child.

Prussia hadn't slept well in a while, but being in Italy had a strange comfort (Whoa. Whoa, note to self: that was way too sexual *paps self*). He grinned at the thought of Italy and seeing his friends tomorrow. Maybe it felt different because he wasn't alone. His heart fluttered to life with the thoughts of seeing everyone again, and slowly, for the first time in so long, Prussia fell into a deep sleep.
