"Oh, I'm not her. She really does look a lot like me though, doesn't she?"

"I'm Kunikuzushi's mother. You can call me Ei." 

"WHAT?!!!?!?!" Passerbys turned to look at you and you flushed out of embarrassment. 

"Let's talk somewhere quieter." 

"Uhhh, your daughter, if you're really his mom, wanted me to go with her too..." 

"Trust me." 

"Uh how about no?" 

"How do I put this...."

"What?" 

"Basically, me and my daughter look exactly the same so there's really no way to differentiate except by our personalities or our family." 

"How does that help?" 

"I guess it doesn't." You sighed. 

"Wow. You're really different from the shogun." 

"See? I told you that was one of the only ways to tell us apart." 

"Fine. Let's go talk somewhere private." 

"Alright. Let's go!"

The two of you soon ended up at Lisa's store. 

"Lisa? Do you know this entire family?" 

"Uhhh Yes?" 

"Seriously?" 

"You better get going now." She shooed you into the room that Kuni's mom had entered a few moments before. 

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" 

"Kunikuzushi called me. According to Miko he seemed very worried for you." 

"Who's Miko?" 

"My girlfriend." 

"Oh. Why would he call you though? As far as I know, the two of you don't have a good relationship." 

"Exactly. He would never call me unless he was very concerned. He seems to really care about you. I never thought he would care about anyone else after-" 

"Please stop. I don't want to know."

"Alright then. I can see why he likes you." 

"He doesn't." You quickly denied it as color rose on your cheeks. 

"You sure?" 

"Uhhhh" 

"Huh. Anyways, I came here too meet you. She's my daughter, so I have to control her don't I? Yet- It's like she's slipped out of my grasp." She sighed, and a moment of silence ensued. She was lost in her memories, and you.... You were trying to cool down the blush that had randomly appeared. 

"Are you alright?" You decided to break the silence that had continued for a few moments when you realized there were tears sliding down Ei's face.

"Oh. Sorry about that." She quickly wiped away her tears and gave you a smile that was obviously forced. 

"It's alright." 

"Be careful alright? Here's my number so call me if you need me." 

"Thank you." You watched her leave. 

When you stepped outside and walked up to the counter, Lisa was staring at the door. 

"That's a broken person." 

"What?" 

"Everyone in that family is broken in some way except for the girlfriends." 

"There's more than one?" 

"Well, there's you and-" 

"I'm not dating anyone!" 

"I know. I'm just teasing you." You gave a small smile and left. 

The librarian sighed. 

"Even she's broken." 

When you looked around outside, all you saw was a glimpse of purple hair entering a car. 

You continued on your way to your dorm. 

Should I call Kuni? 

He seemed concerned when I met his sister.

A while later, when you sat down on your bed, you had made a decision. 

"Hello?" 

"Hey... Wait Kuni?" 

"Yeah? You alright? You sound tired." 

"I met your mom."

"You just cursed a lot. Is something wrong?"

"Should I stay away from your mom as well? From what I could gather, she seemed like a nice person." 

"She's alright." 

"Alright then. Goodnight Kuni."

"Ugh. I should probably go to bed now...." You glanced at the clock and sighed. "I really really really don't want to though~"

"Uhhh... The door's locked." 

"Right..." You got up and unlocked the door. Opening it, you came face to face with a pair of amber eyes. 

"Sorry I wasn't there when Venti called that meet up. I was busy." 

"It's alright! I'm actually really really glad you weren't there." You giggled. The thought of Xiao saying cringy things like the others was hilarious to you. 

"What happened?" 

"Ahahaha...." 

"It was that bad?" He knew the gist of it since it wasn't the first time Venti did something like this for another person. 

"Yeah..." You thought back on the situation and burst out laughing. Before you knew it, the two of you were relaxing on the couch and talking about your day. 

"You ran away?" To anyone else, he would have seemed expressionless, but you could see the amusement etched across his face. 

"Don't laugh at me!" You playfully shoved him. 

"I wasn't laughing." 

"You were clearly laughing at my expense!"

"I wasn't." 

"You were!" 

"I wasn't." 

"You definitely were. Stop denying it." 

"Oh. Look at the time. You should go to bed now. See you tomorrow." 

After he left, you started laughing. 

"Oh! That was so funny! I should really sleep now though..." After getting ready, you fell into bed. 

"So much happened today...." Lost in your thoughts, you eventually fell asleep.
