When Sanem was twenty weeks, she and Can went for an ultrasound.  When Dr. Yaman came into the room, he ask if they "were ready to find out what they were having?"

Sanem said, "Yes, but a little nervous, too."  Can just held her hand ready for whatever they found out.

Dr. Yaman told them that all of "Sanem's vital signs and lab results were normal. It would be okay if she gained a little more weigh, but everything was going as normal for carrying twins."

Once he put the cool gel on Sanem's abdomen and started the ultra sound, Sanem was squeezing Can's hand very tightly.  As the probe was moved around, Dr. Yaman said, "definitely two babies and I can tell that one of them is a girl. Looking more closely here, it looks like that the babies are sharing one placenta. So it looks like you will be having identical twin daughters."

Sanem and Can could not believe that the girl's might be identical. Sanem said nervously, "Will I be able to tell them apart?" Dr. Yaman and Can laughed and Dr. Yaman said, "I have never met a mother who couldn't tell her babies apart. Don't you worry about that, you will know."

They left the appointment holding hands and just grinning from ear to ear. They were so excited about this new adventure they were about to start.

They decided to keep it a secret that the twins were probably identical, but would share that they were having two girls, with their family and friends.

They began talking about names, and both agreed that they loved Deinz Mevkibe, and Yildz Mihriban as names for the girls. The only thing was they were not sure how Huma would handle one of them not named after her. Can was fine with the names, in fact it was his suggestion for Mihriban as a middle name. He felt closer to her than he did Huma. For now they would just mention first names, when asked, and wait for final decision later.

Can and Sanem had settled back into working at the Agency, and some of their combined projects had even won awards for originally.

The nursery at work was doing great, with Mevkibe and Mihriban in charge.   Ates loved spending time with his cousins and their friend's children. It was a very happy nursery, with lots of employees taking advantage of the free child care and safety for their children. The idea for at work/nursery was gaining popularity in the business community, as employees were happier at work and it was proven that productivity of work was increased. Their nursery became an example for many of the businesses to follow.

The newest account that Sanem was working on was very dear to her heart. It was on natural baby products, and she was enjoying checking them out. She had been making Ates bath and lotion products since he was born. She had made bath products for Leyla's babies. She had not ventured out to anyone else, because she didn't want to pursue licensing or patents.

She had already planned the TV and print ads, and was still working on an appropriate slogan. The one she wanted to use was, 'Natural Baby Love', but wasn't sure if the client wanted to continue to follow the natural path. She had noticed in some of the ingredients, some chemicals added that wasn't familiar to her. She was meeting with the chemist and owner of the company this afternoon, and she had ask Can to go with her for support. She was planning to ask some tough questions about their ingredients, before she presented details of her campaign ideas.

When they reached the meeting place, Can took Sanem's hand and told her to do whatever she felt was right even if they lost the account. Because he trusted her judgment above anyone else's, and if she felt something was off, just follow her instincts.

They went into the meeting hand in hand, and were introduced to the older couple who owned the company, 'baby & me'.   Mr. & Mrs. Kavak told them that their chemist, Esma would be here shortly. Since they were meeting in a local restaurant during lunch, they all ordered some light snacks and drinks. Of course, Sanem had to order tea as her drink of choice. The couple was so excited to hear that Sanem and Can were expecting twins, and had a two year old son at home.

When Esma finally arrived, she had a very hostile attitude toward Sanem and Can. When Sanem would bring up questions about chemicals in the product, Esma would just either ignore her or tell her she didn't know anything about baby products.

Mr. & Mrs. Kavak were getting confused about Esma's attitude, and told her that "Sanem was the mother of a two year old and pregnant with twins." Sanem explained that she "had been making her own baby products, and never put any chemicals in them." Esma told Sanem, "How would you know anything, you are just a simple girl from the Malhalla and married Can for his money." By this time Can realized where he recognized Esma from, she had gone to school with Polen. He had met her once, years ago at a party.

Before he could speak up, Sanem said, "Now I understand where you are coming from, and you are very wrong. Yes, I am from the Malhalla and a simple girl, but I did not marry Can for his money, but that is not any of your business.   I have a Master's degree in Environmental Studies, and chemicals in the environment are a big part of my studies. The chemicals you are adding to your products, from my investigation of them, are not safe for babies.   I wanted to talk with Mr. & Mrs. Kavak before reporting the chemists, in their company of using harmful things on babies."

Esma started yelling, "That is not true, you are a gold digger and you had my friend locked up." Sanem just looked at her, and Can said, "We did not have Polen locked up. She had herself locked up by pulling a gun and trying to harm others, besides Sanem. She did not even know Sanem, but yet caused her to have to have surgery. All of her deeds were either caught on tape or observed by police officers."

Mr. & Mrs. Kavak looked at each other, and then he said, "Esma you will sit here quietly and answer the questions about chemicals in our products. We do not allow chemicals in our 'baby & me' products.  If we find that you authorized this, you will never work as a chemist again. This is totally against company policy."

Sanem looked at Can and he just nodded to continue. Sanem started her questions about the chemicals, and the Kavak's and Esma were shocked at how much she knew about them and their hazards. When she finished asking her questions, she still did not feel comfortable with Esma's answers. She told the Kavak's that as much as she liked them and their company history, their agency could not in good conscience take their account. Not only were the added chemicals bad for the environment, but were not safe to use on babies.  She also, felt that she would have to report their chemistry department to Environmental Agency for follow-up.

The Kavak's were saddened to hear Sanem's words, but told her they understood, and would follow-up immediately to correct this problem.   Esma sneered and said to Can, "So your wife runs the company now?"  Can looked at her and said, "Our company is a family ran company, and we work as a team.   Sanem is the expert in our company on environmental problems and solutions.   You need to Google, Sanem Aydin Divit, before you try to down grade anyone else. You will be surprised at what you read.  You also need to know facts before you show your ignorance in the future."

With that Sanem and Can shook hands with the Kavak's and left, but not before they heard Mr. Kavak tell Esma, she was fired, and she will appear before the board to explain.  There will be criminal charges filed, if it is proven you have harmed anyone with your chemical fillers in our products.

When they got to the truck, Sanem was shaking and tearful.   Can just held her till she could talk. She was so mad with Esma's attitude, and that it was directly connected to Polen.   She was furious that they were using harmful chemicals in baby products, and just plain furious.   Can held Sanem close and let her just vent, when she calmed down, he kissed her and ask, "What do we need to do now?"

Sanem said, "The first thing we need to do is go to the Federal Environmental Office and report what we have found, before Esma destroys any evidence.   I really like the Kavak's but this is their company and life, so they might help her destroy evidence."   Can just said,"Okay, let's go."

After their visit with the authorities, Sanem felt better. As the Kavak's phoned while they were in the office, to ask Sanem who they needed to report to about the chemicals. They wanted to report and do a recall on the already distributed products. She gave them the names of the different authorities to talk with, and they thanked her very much for her help.

When Sanem and Can were headed back to the Agency, they were holding hands.  Can told her he was very proud of her for standing up for her beliefs and using her knowledge for the safety of others.

Sanem thanked him for supporting her, especially when she turned down an account.  She did tell him that maybe since the Kavak's were proving to be dependable, that maybe they could help them save their company.

Can laughed and said, "I knew that was coming. We can do it."

Both of them had decided long ago, that talking about Polen was useless and a waste of their time. So Polen and her friend were not even part of the discussions.  Can did decide that he would have Metin do a follow-up on what was going on with her.   He did not like that Polen might still be talking bad about his family and him.
