Mal was supposed to bring the wand at noon. I was held by tied hands on the plank, looking at the water below. Ronan was on the edge, slightly whimpering for me. Harry kicked her back when she got too close.

"It's sad that I might have to drop you," Uma said, walking up next to Ronan.

"It's sad that you're going to sacrifice two lives over a magical stick," I snarled back.

"You've got a bite, wee one," Harry smirked, twirling a piece of my hair around his hook. "Shame you're using it for the wrong reasons."

"Can we stop shaming me, please?" I asked sarcastically. "My mother already does that to me."

"(Y/n)!"

I looked over at the deck, where Evie's voice called out to me. I shook my head at her and she looked at the bridge. Uma started laughing maniacally.

"Finally!" Uma laughed in excitement.

Harry walked away from me and led Ben over to the edge of the plank, holding him there until Uma's command.

Huh, let's get this party started

I swear I'm cold-hearted

There's no negotiation

I'm not here for debatin'

You need some motivation?

Just look at Ben's face

Then ask yourself how long you think I'll remain patient

I'll throw him overboard and let him swim with killer sharks

You either hand over the wand or he'll be ripped apart

Now, let's all just be smart

Although for you that must be hard

You'll get your wand

No one has to come to any harm

Don't try to intimidate

Your bark is much worse than your bite

Who's the baddest of them all?

I guess we're finding out tonight

Let's go, bring it on

Better give us what we want

It's the wand for the crown

If you don't, it's going down

Let's go, make your move

Peace or war, it's up to you

Give him up and do it now

If you don't, it's going down

We want the wand

Or else the king is gone

Your time is running out

You should really watch your mouth

Let's go, pound for pound

We're prepared to stand our ground

Put your swords up, put 'em up

It's going down

Oh, oh, oh, make the trade

Oh, oh, oh, or walk the plank

Oh, oh, oh, make the trade

Oh, oh, oh, or walk the plank

Ok, look, this is not a conversation

It's a do-or-die situation

If you don't give me back the king

I'll have no hesitation

I'll serve you right here

And I don't need a reservation

That way your whole pirate crew can have a demonstration

Release him now, and we can go our separate ways

Unless you wanna deal with me and the VKs

So that's your big speech, huh?

An empty ultimatum?

All it takes is one swing and I'll humiliate him

Matter of fact, make one wrong move and I'll debilitate him

And if he even starts to slip, I'll eliminate him

All it takes is one long look and I'll-

Harry! We get it, chill

Let's go, bring it on

Better give us what we want

It's the wand for the crown

If you don't, it's going down

Let's go, make your move

Peace or war, it's up to you

Give him up and do it now

If you don't, it's going down

We want the wand

Or else the king is gone

Your time is running out

You should really watch your mouth

Let's go, pound for pound

We're prepared to stand our ground

Put your swords up, put 'em up

It's going down

Hey, we don't have to choose

We don't have to light the fuse

Mal, whatever you do, it's gonna be a lose-lose

There's gotta be a better way

Uma, I promise I'll give you your chance

You'll have your say

Silly king! You? Give me?

Yeah, you're gonna give me a chance?

Well, not a chance

Oh, oh, oh, make the trade

Oh, oh, oh, or walk the plank

Oh, oh, oh, make the trade

Oh, oh, oh, or walk the plank

Let's go, bring it on

Bring it on, it's going down

Time is running out

Bring it on, it's going down

Let's go, bring it on

Bring it on, it's going down

Time is running out

Bring it on, it's going down

Let's go, pound for pound

We're prepared to stand our ground

Put your swords up, put 'em up

It's going down

"Hold up. Too easy," Uma stopped Mal. "Why don't you give it a test drive? We want to see it work."

Mal laughed. "You always were quite the drama queen."

Harry let go of me, but then caught me to tease them. Carlos jumped at Harry's movements and moved toward the ledge. Ronan growled at Harry.

"Oh, and nothing too big, or (Y/n) and Ben are fish bait," Uma threatened.

Evie whispered something to Carlos and Carlos slightly moved his head to the dog. I smiled. Carlos had come over his fear of dogs. That'll make it a lot easier to explain Ronan.

"Okay. Although it seems absurd, turn your bark into a word," Mal waved the wand at the dog.

There were a few moments of silence before Mal hissed at the dog.

"Does this vest make me look fat?" the dog whispered as the crew laughed. "Does anyone have some bacon? Cookies?"

"Give me the wand!" Uma demanded.

"Give me (Y/n) and Ben!" Mal retorted.

"Harry, bring 'em over," Uma waved us over.

Harry pushed us over and forced us to kneel. Ronan smothered my side and I smiled. The two girls held out their hands and Uma cooed. "Cut 'em loose, Harry."

"I never get to have any fun," Harry sighed, cutting the ropes with his sword.

Mal took Ben's hand as Carlos took mine. Uma grabbed the wand and Carlos pulled me up. I hugged him quickly before I slipped Mal a smoke bomb. Those things always came in handy.

"No!" Uma screamed as Lonnie handed me a sword. "You do not get to win every time!"

Carlos shot a blue smoke bomb at Uma, causing it to explode. A yellow one was shot at the crew above. They charged at us, one of them coming straight at me. I blocked him easily as we started to swordfight. He stumbled back into the water, making me stand there in disbelief.

"C'mon!" Lonnie jerked her head toward the tunnel.

I nodded and started to walk toward the tunnel. A pirate surprised me, making me be back to back with someone. I kicked him back as Evie and I were thrown smoke bombs. I tossed it toward the group, making it explode into purple and teal. I smiled as someone grabbed my hand leading me into the tunnel.

Ronan followed me across, making me sigh in relief. We tossed our swords next to Lonnie. Carlos let go of my hand and went over to the car.

"C'mon, Dude!" Carlos opened the car door. "Oh, now you listen to me."

"Let's go," Evie said, out of breath.

"C'mon, (Y/n), get in," Carlos looked at me desperately.

"Ronan," I patted my lap as I sat in the car.

She hopped up as Carlos and Evie got in, followed by Lonnie. Jay sat in the front seat. Mal and Ben got in the car and Jay drove off, tires squealing. I stroked Ronan's back as I tried to calm myself down.

"That dog replaced us in your books, huh?" Evie smiled.

"Never," I shook my head. "She's just another part of my book."

"I'm really sorry that things didn't go the way you wanted them to," Ben looked at Mal.

"I mean... as long as you're safe, that's..." Mal trailed off.

"I mean, I got to see the Isle, and I got to meet (Y/n). They're my people too. Uma helped me see that," Ben explained.

"Ben, Uma captured you," Mal said in disbelief.

"She's an angry girl with a bad plan. That's not so different from you when you came to Auradon, Mal," Ben reasoned.

"Awkward," the dog spoke, startling me.

"Dude, I know you can talk, but that doesn't always mean you should," Carlos said.

"Mal's spell went wrong?" I whispered.

"More like Dude stole the spell," Carlos smiled.

"You can drive me back whenever you want. I should've ran instead," I looked at Ben.

"No, it's okay. You're a favorite, and I think they want you to stay," Ben looked around.

"Of course," Evie smiled.

We went over the bridge and I admired the scenery. Carlos smiled slightly as I looked around. Ronan jumped out of my lap and onto Carlos.

"Sorry, she's-"

"Curious?" Carlos finished. "Thankfully, they don't mean any harm by it."

I nodded, smiling as Dude sniffed my hand. Ronan looked at me and crawled back into my lap. I smiled and stroked her. She laid her head down as Carlos wrapped an arm around me. I smiled as we stayed like that for the rest of the car ride.
