She wondered if the devil had ever come and taken notice of her. Had wondered if she was truly horrifying to be around when someone tried killing her or her family. Took notice of the blood that stained her pale translucent hands. Left with the lingering effects of secret enemies that wanted her dead, gone.

Rosalice had to laugh considering one thing and one thing only she was dead. To people's words that was. Genevieve had come to "kill" her and her twins which made Elijah go on a killing spree and start wallowing in this sort of grief.

Months had come to pass. Months of raining snow. And within those months Renee had fallen pregnant, something so joyous to her had finally worked in her favor. Informing the rest of the family was all with different reactions. Edward wanted to kill Jacob more than ever but was persuaded by Bella not to. Rosalie was gleeful more than anyone else and Alice was the same throughout the two different pregnancies worried for the mother and not the baby.

The twins slept peacefully, occasionally waking during the night. As of this moment Rosalice walked down the steps carefully, making sure not to make a sudden noise alerting everyone or to awaken those that slept.

Heading deep into the kitchen she cracks open the fridge grabbing a hold of two bottles, shutting it, she moves towards the bottle warmer sliding in one bottle. Time ticking. She waited patiently.

Hearing one creek she lifts up her head looking over her shoulder towards one of her cousins that stood there, that always tested her gift. Straight blonde hair as bright as the snow. "I was wondering when you were going to say, hi, to me," Smirking Rosalice turns around fully facing Kate.

Pure gold eyes meet with her icy blue ones. Kate stands straight, her posture better than anyone in the entire houseā€”considering the entire house was mostly cold ones. "You have twins, I didn't want to ruin your schedule." Her pale hands grasps a hold of a cold bottle. "I see your body still works the same?"

Rosalice rolls her eyes grabbing the bottle in her cousin's hand, she states, "If your here to talk about my gifts or-"

    "Just your gift." Kate corrects.

The brunette haired Cullen hums, grabbing a hold of the heated milk, plopping the cold one inside the bottle warmer and restarting the time. "Can you turn invisible on command?" She tries testing, raising a hand blue electricity ran up and down her fingers as it looked like her eyes had lightning bolts cracking inside of them.

Just as Kate raises her hand to touch Rosalice's shoulder there she was no longer. Invisibility worked on her side as it always had strayed away from her cousin's hand waiting until it pulled away to turn visible once again.

    "I'm slightly impressed."

"No one can fully impress you Kate," Rosalice grabs the newly hot bottle tucking her hair behind her ears. "Only Garrett can." Weaving past the island and the chairs heading up towards the stairs.

Kate calls out, "I heard of your entanglement." Her pink lips pulled into a smirk waiting until Rosalice turned to face her once again. "Of that original."

    "Elijah." Rosalice corrects.

"Ahh so he has a name." Kate continues to smirk, joining her cousin's side. "Are they similar to the Volturi?" The two began walking up the steps.

Rosalice takes a deep breath thinking back. Elijah Mikealson was anything but creepy. He wasn't like a frozen statue awaiting for a threat to commence. He didn't have blood red eyes that seemed to move like liquid. Instead they were a soft hazel brown that reminded her so much of Forks. Of the forest. She loves the forest. It was the one area she could live in. Child her left imagining that she would live in a tree house when she grew older. "No." She shakes her head. "The Mikealsons are deadlier and ruthless. I give them that but they're not sticklers."

Kate ah's opening the door to the nursery, eyes catching a hold of a wide awake Sage. "Someone's awake." She informs Rosalice.

Rosalice sighs moving towards her second born, setting down the bottles on an end stand and picks up Sage bouncing her. Holding up her head she moves it all around. Rosalice turns to her cousin, "Kate this is Sage." She finally introduces the two. "Sage, this is cousin Kate."

Kate tilts her head to the side close-lipped, smiling softly at the baby. "I see she has your eyes." She takes notice. "And your hair."

"I think she has more of a dirty blonde." Rosalice notes.

Kate hums, standing in one position. "I wonder, will she have gifts?"

Rosalice bounces as she stares down at her wide awake daughter's mind for she knew that both her children would have a gift. Carlisle had come to continue his studiesā€”within reason. It was simple knowledge to her grandfather and everyone else that saw the signs as easily as they came that her and Renee's children would have gifts carried from the vampire side but unlike the two brunette twins their children would only have one gift instead of two. "I believe so," Rosalice finally answers, settling down on a rocking chair grabbing a bottle and placing it on Sage's lips.

The house grew awake becoming much more vibrant as the sky scraped away the purple dark hues and painted a soft bright blues with a burning yellow-orangish light that was called sun.

Heavy pounding footsteps entered their ears stopping just near the doorway, leaning his arm against it. "My favorite cousin." Garrett greets with a smile.

Rosalice returns the smile, "Morning Garrett."

Garrett's eyes had turned yellow over the years after meeting Kate changing his diet for her and the rest of the coven. His skin not as pale as his mate yet matched with rugged uncut hair that fell down over his ears almost covering his eyes. "What no favorite cousin in return?" Garrett places a hand over his unbeaten heart. "You wound me Sali."

Clenching her jaw, she glares at the man before her. "Stop calling me that."

The old vampire moves off the door, wrapping his arms around his wife tugging her closer into him. "But it's so fun seeing you squirm as you try controlling your temper," he smirks, baring his fangs.

Call me Sali again and I'll have Kate fry your ass. Rosalice echoed within his mind that would send chills down to the average humanā€”but then again they were never average to begin with.

This, hearing her voice in his head continued to make his pride grow. The threats she had come to say to him brought him a source of new adrenaline. He loved it. Dared to get more. "Would she really fry my ass?" Garrett brought his voice down to a whisper. "Or are you going to actually do something yourself."

Rosalice leans back, pulling the bottle away from her daughter's lips, patting her back. "I'm a mother now, Gar," She plainly states. " I have responsibilities to take care of." Hiding that smirk beneath her poker face, she then says, "You wouldn't know what that was like even if it was presented to you."

The smirk grew more. "Harsh words Sali." Grasping his wife's wrist. "But I do have responsibilities." Lightly pulling her out of the room. His golden eyes followed his cousin. "It's called pleasuring my wife." And with that they ducked away to their far hidden room.

[Time Skip]

Rosalie had taken the liberty of helping take care of the twins when her niece proved to grow tired of doing it alone and was left almost falling asleep whilst standing or anywhere her body deemed sleepable.

The frozen blonde placed a comforting hand on her niece's lower back as she moved to grasp a hold of Salem who began fussing after not grasping the attention of his mother. Tears now fell down his face as he continued to cry. Rosalie began moving up and down, shushing him.

Rosalice, feeling the weight transferred away from her, instantly snaps her eyes open looking around frantically for her first born son only to see her aunt standing there naturally filling the role of a mother. The twenty year old stares at her aunt, frowning. Not for the fact that she couldn't even stay awake long enough to even place down her own kids so they could roll over in their playpen (not that she couldn't keep them in her hold even whilst sleeping, thanks to her cold one side.) Her emotions that she felt weren't at all guided to feel jealous towards her aunt that never slept. She felt more pity than jealousy. Pitiful that her aunt, who wanted her own family, could never fall pregnant on her own terms with a man that loved her more than the immortal life they shared, that accessed tenderness and gentleness above his own brute strength. Rosalice felt pity that her own aunt with a secret heart of gold left in a metal cage that was not locked for it could finally fly and be free but stayed behind as it knew, it knew that it could never survive just beyond it. That the cold and bitterness, that the anger was all that could survive in a world like this. A cruel harsh world.

Relaxing, Rosalice watched as her uncle entered the room and picked up Sage from her playpen and stood beside his wife. And with one huge smile that bared every single white teeth fang and all Rosalice knew that her twins were in safe hands. That they weren't going anywhere. That they would be protected at all cost just like her and her older twin sister. Reassurance running thick and bold in that smile of his Rosalice didn't even need to look through his mind to know that this was his version of telling her that her twins would be okay, to take some time to herself and rest.

Taking herself to another room she pressed herself against the wall and slid down. Her chest tightening riddling itself in unimaginable pain. Pain that sent needles all around her physical body yet inside it felt hot. Too hot. Her insides left burning. She felt like she was on fire. That someone had shoved a lit up torch down her throat so her body could burn inside to out rather than out to inside. It happened every time she was in another room where her twins were not present. Her bones began aching with pain. Her body screaming for the drug she shot herself up with. A drug that pumped through her veins that had her mind screaming for more. Elijah. Elijah was a part of the twins as he helped create them. It only made sense that it could numb the pain but when entirely apart from them Rosalice felt like she was dying. Every time she took a deep breath her body shoved knives into her lungs as needles pricked and poked her.

Rosalice understood to a certain degree of what her mother went through. How it felt unbearable to be away from Edward, how she couldn't move but stare endlessly out of a window wishing for her own demise. Rosalice understood why Bella was so damn eager to go to Edward to save him as she would do the same for Elijah. Risk her own life to save him.

Gulping, gasping, tears brimming her eyes daring to fall. Her body racking, shaking violently. Biting her lip hard, she wanted it all to stop. Wanted the pain gone. She couldn't keep living like this. Couldn't handle the pain anymore. It had been months, months and she still felt helpless from this pain that screamed and ached her body.

She felt pain throughout her time on the earth ever since everyone knew she shared the same blood as her mother's if not sweeter the pain had become silenced where it could no longer torment her. But now, sitting there, trying to ground herself, trying to have some peace to her mind... she just couldn't. Couldn't live without him. Now when they had gotten closer and deemed their relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Hearing the door click open, she wipes away the running tears and tries to calm her shaking body not wanting anyone to see her in this state. She refused to allow anyone else see her in such a vulnerable state.

Entering the room was none other than the one that was a pure mix of both parents, Reneesme eyes softened at the sight of her younger sister, closing the door shut behind her. The older one out of the two walks towards her, planting herself right besides her twin sister. Her waves of curls a mahogany brown hair that glints with a light red undertone when the sunlight hits it just right. Her brown chocolate eyes that she inherited from a human Bella, took in her sister's looks, reading her.

Renee slips her hand into her sister's playing memories of the two, happy memories to at least calm Rosalice's mind down, to let her breath and allow her body not to be in pain for just a very long moment or two. And in return thanking her twin's gratitude Rosalice thought of more memories sharing them with her twin.
