"Hello?"

The boy calls out.

He looks around, seeing artifacts and various items around the little shop.

He explores, playing among the shelves.

He knocks a suit of armour, causing a flagpole to fall and launch a tray of teacups into the air.

Mr. Liu catches them all expertly, and frowns when he sees the boy.

"Boy..."

Mr. Liu kicks the flagpole back and places the cups back on the tray, and sighs.

"Wow... That was amazing."

The boy says.

Mr. Liu frowns.

"Why don't you play outside with your friends?"

The boy shrugs.

"I don't know."

Mr. Liu taps his chin.

"Come here. You don't know, Huh?"

The boy sighs.

"Sometimes they make fun of me."

Mr. Liu frowns.

"Hm."

The boy points at the snake, closed inside a jar.

"Is that real?"

Mr. Liu smiles.

"Yes, it's real. Everything here is real."

The boy gasps, and says,

"Whoa. Is that real?"

Mr. Liu scowls at the cat.

"That cat is real. Real monster."

The cat growls, and Mr Liu hisses back. He points to the toy in the boy's hand.

"What's that?"

"This? This is Lloyd."

"Hmm. He looks like a very brave fighter."

The boy laughs.

"No, he's just a kid. He can't do anything."

"But he might look different..."

Mr. Liu puts the Lloyd in a cloth and pulls it out to reveal it in perfect condition, wearing a gi.

"...but he can do great things."

Mr. Liu grins.

The boys looks at the new figure, eyes sparkling.

"Whoa..."

Mr. Liu says,

"You just have to look at it from a different point of view."

Mr Liu pulls out a wooden box and blows the dust off of it, causing the boy to cough.

Mr Liu apologizes,

"Ah, dui bu qi (sorry)."

Mr. Liu opens the box to reveal a wooden figure of an old man with a long beard, Wu.

"Whoa..."

Mr. Liu smiles.

"This is his teacher. Very old. Very wise. And very handsome."

The boy giggles at that.

Mr. Liu says,

"Have you ever heard the legend behind the legend of Ninjago?"

"No."

Mr. Liu sighs.

"I would tell you, but to truly see you must forget everything, you know... and see things in a new way. The story of Ninjago... is the story of a boy. "

The boy listens intently.

"His name is Lloyd, and his dad is the worst guy in the history of the world."

"Buenos dias, Ninjago!!!"

"Ohayō, Ninjago!!!"

"G'day, Ninjago!!!"

"Guten morgen, Ninjago!!!"

"Bonjour, Ninjago!!!!"

"When Garmadon attacks... WE ARE THERE! When Garmadon crashes the stock market...WE'RE THERE AGAIN! When Garmadon defaces Whistler's mother...WE'RE STILL THERE! We are the only news team watching Garmadon's volcanic lair 24 hours a day. This is.."

"Good Morning Ninjago!!! I'm Robin Roberts."

"And I'm Michael Strahan, and I am PUMPED to be bringing you the news!!!!"

PUMPED!!!!!!

"Woo!"

Robin says,

"Well, looks like everyone is on pins and needles waiting for Garmadon's next attack."

ATTACK FORECAST!!!!

Michael says,

"Our experts predict a 95% chance of a Garmadon attack today!!!"

Robin grimaces.

"Yikes! Ninjago, you better stay inside."

Michael yells,

"You better stay right there! Don't you dare come out! At least until our Secret Ninja Force comes in."

Robin sighs,

"Thank goodness for those ninjas."

Michael frowns.

"But who are these secret ninjas, Robin?"

Robin says,

"We have so many questions."

BURNING QUESTIONS!!!!

"Fire Ninja!!!! Where is he on a scale of one to awesome??!"

The Fire Ninja yells from inside of his mech,

"I'm not gonna lie. I'M... AWESOME!!!"

"Earth Ninja!!!! When will he upgrade to digital??!"

The Earth Ninja scoffs.

"No, I would never do that!"

"Ice Ninja!!!!! Is he a real boy, or a robot??!"

The Ice Ninja frowns.

"How dare you? I'm a wild teen!"

"Lightning Ninja!!! Is he the bravest ninja of them all??!"

The Lightning Ninja didn't respond, but is seen spiraling through the air inside his mech with Garmadon's minions trailing behind him.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I'll take that as a yes. Water Ninja!!!!! She's a girl, not a ninja!! Can she really have it all??!"

The Water Ninja glared at the camera.

"You fellas need to inform yourselves... of where we're at culturally."

(A/N: YESSS NYA, YOU TELL THEMMM!!!)

"And finally.....The Green Ninja!!!!!!!!!!! He fights in the air,"

The Green Ninja is seen hopping off his mech and hitting an general in the face.

"....on the ground..."

The Green is seen kicking, punching, and slashing at enemies on the ground.

"...and in the kitchen.."

The Green Ninja is seen snatching a baby away from the arms of one of Garmadon's minions and punching them in the face.

".....with a refrigerator."

The Green Ninja is seen toppling a refrigerator over another one of Garmadon's minions, who jumped in the kitchen window.

"But what is he hiding, and who is he, really??!"

LOCAL BIRTHDAYS!!!!!!

Robin cheered,

"Celebrating birthdays today are this hot dog guy, this panda and... uh oh. Lloyd Garmadon!"

Michael sighed.

"The son of the evil Lord Garmadon."

Robin smiled sympathetically.

"Must be tough to be that kid."

Lloyd's phone rang.

♪Jump up, kick back, whip around and spin! And then we jump back, do it again! Ninja! GO! Ninja! G-♪

Lloyd rubbed the sleep otu of his eyes and groaned into his phone,

"Hello?"

munch munch mun-

Garmadon scowled into the phone.

"Hello? What do you want??"

Lloyd was confused and rubbed his eyes

"Uh... you called me...?"

Garmadon sighed.

"Hang on a second."

munch munch munch-

"Let me- Hm. Must've butt-dialled you. Who is this??"

Lloyd sighs and pulls at his hair.

"It's Lloyd. Lloyd Garmadon, your son?"

Garmadon scoffs.

"No. my son is totally bald and has no teeth."

Lloyd scowled.

"Yeah, well, surprise. I'm not a baby anymore."

Garmadon replied,

"Duly noted. How old are you? You're seven, right, you're seven?"

munch munch munch-

Lloyd sighs.

"Sixteen."

Garmadon raises his eyebrows.

"Huh."

Lloyd grumbles,

"Just add nine to that..."

Garmadon smiles good-naturedly.

"Well, good talk, son."

Lloyd stutters out,

"W-wait, are you sure there, there isn't a special reason why you might've called me today, on this day, specifically, todaaaaay???"

munch munch munch-

Garmadon sighs.

"Look, I didn't call you, my butt called you."

Lloyd sighs.

"...Oh."

Garmadon grins.

"Well, no time to chat. Sorry, Dad has gotta go to work. I've got to get that Green Ninja."

Lloyd says,

"Yeah."

munch munch munch-

"Glad the teeth finally came in. Buh-bye!"

Koko squealed,

"Lloooyd! Good mooorniiiing!"

Lloyd flinched.

"Mom, hey. Um, here's a thought. What if I... didn't... go to school today?"

Koko had a double take.

"What? Oh, no, you don't want to miss school, honey. These are the best years of your life!"

Lloyd stammers,

"Um, have you, have you been... to high school? 'Cus uh. It's judgy. Pretty judgy."

Koko sighs.

"Oh, honey. You just need to give them a chance to see the real you."

Lloyd replies, awkwardly,

"Yeah. I don't think I can actually show people the real... me."

Koko smiles.

"That's not true. All you've got to do is to show them the person you are on the inside."

Koko touches Lloyd's heart gently.

"Right here, where it matters most. Oh! And also, don't forget: if your dad attacks the city again today, just be sure to-"

They say in sync,

"Duck and cover until the secret ninjas give the all-clear."

Koko grins.

"Oh, and also don't forget..."

Lloyd turns around.

"Yeah?"

Koko hugs Lloyd.

"Have a happy birthday, honey."

Koko kisses Lloyd's cheek.

Lloyd smiles back,

"Thanks mom. I'll try my best."
