Manny and I were sat in the Kitchen. Gloria was on the phone. "Of course we would love to have the baby. All the other cousins are sleeping over tonight." Gloria says. Tonight was Jays night. All the children in the family would come over to have a sleepover.

"The more the merrier." Jay said.

"Okay, See you tonight. Bye-Bye." Gloria said then hung up. Manny looks up at her, away from the newspaper in his hand.

"Is Haley still coming?" Manny asked.

"You're related. I will spray you with the hose." Jay told him. Manny looks at Jay.

"Oh. So it's okay for Y/N to have a crush on Luke?" Manny said in a snarky tone. I slap his arm and Gloria and Jay look at me.

"What?" They both said in unison.

"Shut up, Manny." I told Manny.

"You have a crush on Luke?" Jay and Gloria ask me.

"No." I lie but they don't believe me.
I didn't have a big crush on him. I had a small crush on him. But it was nothing. I'd just get butterflies when he was around. That was it.

"Y/N. Tell the truth." Gloria said.

"Fine. It's not a big crush. It's just a small one." I tell them.

"Okay." Gloria shrugged. They went back to doing what they were doing. Manny looks up at them.

"What? That's it?" Manny's eyebrows furrowed, "You threaten to spray me with a hose when I have a crush. But you don't do anything when Y/N has a crush?" Manny says to Jay.

"That's 'cause they're not related." Jay said. Manny shook his head and continued to read his newspaper.

Cam and Mitch came round earlier. They came to drop off Lily. Gloria held Lily in her arms and walked to the kitchen. She sang loudly in Spanish. "So, Lily Likes that, that... singing?" Jay asks.

"Yes." Gloria replies quietly, "It relaxes her."

"Oh, Okay." Jay said and Gloria continued singing. "So Lily's deaf." He says, walking away. The doorbell rings. Manny sorts out his appearance. He straightened his shirt, and combed his hair back.

Jay opens the door and greets them. "There are my little stinkers." Jay says as they enter the house.

"Hey." Gloria says from the kitchen. Lily still in her arms.

"Hola." Alex says.

"Hi, Luke." I said as he entered the house.

"Hi, Y/N." He replied. He then looked at Jay.

"Well, hello there, Haley." Manny said. Haley gave him a confused look.

"Take it down a notch, Jethro." Jay said to Manny, " So, you guys ready for some fun?" Jay asks. Luke stares at him. "What?" When Jay said that Luke hugs Jay.

"I love you, Grandpa, and I'm never gonna forget you." Luke says, looking up at him.

"Okay, Okay. Back at ya, champ." He said, Luke stop hugging him. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. This is a pajama party. Where's your pj's?" Jay asks, now noticing they were all in their clothes.

"Yeah, they're in my bag. I need to talk to you about something." Haley said to Jay.

"She wants to go to a party with Dylan, Grandpa." Alex says.

"Shut up, Alex." Haley says, turning to look at Alex. "It's at my friend Andrew Adler's. He lives three blocks from here." She turned back to Jay.

"Oh. Walking distance." Jay says.

"Right." Haley said, "So I wouldn't ask you this, because I love coming to your house, but it's kind of an important party, and Iβ€”" she began but Jay cut her off.

"Somebody invites you over, the last thing you wanna do is insult them." He said.

"Exactly." Haley says excitedly

"I'm glad we agree." Jay said. Hayley laughs a little as Jay walks away.

"Oh, my god." Hayley smiled, her moth open, "That was so easy. This is awesome" She said, then grabbed her phone. I gave Alex an 'Is She serious?' look. Alex nodded.

"You really don't understand what just happened there, do you?" Alex said to Hayley.

"Pj's on, Haley!" Jay shouted.

"What?" Haley said, looking up from her phone.

"Um, I would be happy to let her change in my room." Manny said. I look at him.

"Dude. That's creepy as hell." I said as Jay walks towards Manny and sprayed water on him.

β€”β€”

We were all currently playing a game. Jay puts his cards down on the table. "I got nothing." He said.

"I think I have a very good pair." Gloria says, holding her cards up. Jay looks at them.

"You sure do honey."

"And I got squat." Alex says, putting her cards down.

"I don't think I have anything either." Haley says, placing each card down on the table. Jay looks at them.

"Are you kidding me? That's a straight." He said.

"Really?" Hayley said.

"She wins." Jay said, making Hayley squeal. Manny claps.

"I win." Hayley cheered, "You know what? I think I deserve a soda." She says, getting up.

"Good job, Haley." Manny says.

"Did you see that?" Alex asks everyone. Jay got up and walked to the back door. He opens the door and walked outside.

"I don't know how to play." Gloria stated, looking down at her cards.

"Same here." I said, putting my cards into the table.

"Haley didn't even know." Alex told us.

"You know, she deserves it." Manny said.

β€”β€”

We were all sat in the living room, Gloria was singing to Lily. Lily kept crying. "I don't understand why she's not falling asleep." Gloria said.

"I have a theory." Alex says. She was currently reading a book.

"I got the movie." Jay said, walking into the living room with Luke. "Manny, why don't you go fire up some popcorn?" Jay asks. Manny walks to the kitchen. "You looking for these?" Jay asks, giving Haley her shoes. Haley got up from the sofa and stared at Jay.

"You took my shoes?" She asked.

"No, I took your freedom." Jay said. "Sorry, kid. It ain't your night."

"Why are you being like this?" Haley asked. Luke sat down, next to me. I felt butterflies in my stomach. "I just wanted to go to that party for, like, two hours. I would've been back by now. Would that have killed you?" She walks away.

"She's just like her mother." Jay said.

"Why are you treating Haley like this?" Gloria asks, getting up.

"Me? She's the one acting like a pill." Jay said.

"You're taking this too personally. When I was Haley's age, I loved my grandfather, but I still wanted to go to parties and be with boys." She told him.

"I know. I know. So did Claire... and Mitchell. But you know what? You try to put something over on me, you're gonna lose."

"So, what? Now you're gonna make this into a big game?"

"I'm trying to keep 'em around s little bit longer, that's all." Jay says as Manny walks into the room, a bowl of popcorn in his hands. "I mean, who knows how many nights like this I got left?" Jays asks.

Luke, who wasn't listening to them before, looked at Jay. He seemed sad. He got up and ran to Jay, hugging him. I rose my eyebrow. "I miss you already." Luke says.

"What's wrong with this kid tonight? Go in the kitchen and help out the guys, and I'll be right in." Jay told him. Luke lowers his head and walks to the kitchen.

"It's great that you wanna spend time with your granddaughter, But is this really the way?" Gloria asked Jay.

"Fine." Jay said.

"You're a good abuelo." Gloria told him as he walked away. "She's upstairs." Gloria said when Jay walked past them.

"I know." He said. Gloria looked down at me, she had her eyebrow raised. I shrugged. She then sat back down. She continued singing to Lily. Luke And Manny re-entered the room.

Jay walked back inside, Dylan was with him. "Hayley! Come down here." He said. After about 10 seconds she walked downstairs, her eyes widened when she saw Dylan.

"Grandpa... I don't knowβ€”" She began but Jay cut her off.

"Hayley listen. You can go to the party, Okay." He said, she grinned and stood next to Dylan. "Promise you'll return as soon as the party is over. Okay?" He asked. She nodded and ran upstairs to get changed, she shouted 'Thank you' at least five times.

Gloria got up and walked to Jay. "Ay, thank you Jay." She smiled at him and then sat back down, continuing to watch the movie. Hayley ran back downstairs.

"Thank you again, Grandpa. We'll be back by 11:00." Hayley told him.

"I will track you down." Jay said.

"I believe that." Hayley said then chuckled.

"What's that smell?" Dylan asked.

"Sloppy Jays. Help yourself. There's plenty left." Jay told him.

"Oh. Sloppy Jays because your names Jay." Dylan said, "Right on." Hayley looked at him. Manny crossed his arms and shook his head.

"I can't believe she's into this guy." Manny said. Gloria turned her head to look at Jay, Haley, and Dylan.

"If you want, I'll fix you a plate." Gloria told Dylan. Dylan turned around.

"Yeah, definitely. That'd be great." He said. Hayley looked at Dylan.

"But what about the party?" She asked him. Gloria got up.

"We can go in just a minute. Just letβ€”" Dylan began but paused when a gunshot was heard from the movie. He turned his head to look. "Oh, no way. The Gunfighter. I love this movie."

"Dylan, the party." Hayley said. He turned away from the TV.

"Oh. But... cowboys." He said.

"Don't fight it, Haley. They never grow up." Gloria said, giving Dylan his plate. He thanked her for the food. Manny got up.

"I'm going to the kitchen for an espresso. Anybody need anything?" Manny asked.

"No, thanks." Alex told him.

Cam, Mitch, and their friend Sal showed up. They joined us on the sofa, the three of them watched the movie. Cam was holding Lily. Hayley sat down on the sofa, next to Dylan. She fed him his food. Manny returned, he would stare at the two, taking sips of his espresso. After about a minute Jay fell asleep.

"She is so sweet." Sal said, referring to Lily.

"Isn't she?" Cam said.

"Like a little angel." Sal said, not taking her eyes off of Lily.

"Hmm." Mitch hummed.

"Let me hold her." Sal said, getting up. Cam moved out of the way. Mitch stood up, making it so she couldn't stand up.
Luke, whom was sat next to me, noticed Jay sleeping. He got up and put two fingers to Jays neck, making him wake up.

"Oh, thank god." Luke said, then sat back down. Jay had a confused look.
