Gloria, Jay, And I were in the kitchen. I was sat on a stool, drinking some tea and reading a book, Jay was reading the newspaper, and Gloria was making some food.

"Mum?" Manny asked as he walked into the kitchen, "I have a fever."

"Ay, mi amor." Gloria frowned, "Come here and I feel you."

"Oh." Manny stopped walking and stood next to Jay and I, "I don't wanna get you sick. It could be fatal." Manny said, I looked up from my book, and looked at Manny.

"Then by all means," Jay began as he moved his newspaper towards Manny, using it as a shield, "stand next to me."

Gloria stopped what she was doing and walked over to Manny. "Let me feel you." She pet he hands on Manny's forehead, and in his cheeks. "Ay, papi, But you're not warm"

"Uh, probably because you were cooking and your hands are warm." Manny said, making Jay and I furrow our eyebrows, "I better skip the party tomorrow just to be safe."

"Oh. Yeah, the party." Gloria nodded. Gloria looked down at Jay, making him look up at her.

"What?" He asked.

"The party." She whispered.

"I understand about 20% of what goes on around here."

Gloria walked away from us. Jay looked towards me, "You know what Party they're talking about?"

"Hmm?" I looked up from my book, "Oh, yes, I do. There's a party at an amusement park, Manny was invited, but Manny is terrified of rollercoasters." I told him. Jay nodded and got up.

——

Gloria walked back into the kitchen, "Jay, he won't admit it, but I know that Manny's sad because he's missing the party. Why don't we take him somewhere to take his mind off it, hmm?"

"I could have guessed he'd have trouble with rollercoasters. That kid gets woozy at barbershops when they spin his chair towards the mirror." Jay said in a grumpy tone — one that we were all used to.

"How about we take him to the pier and go fishing, huh?" Gloria smiled, "Manny!"

"He likes to fish?" Jay asked, taking off his reading glasses.

"Yeah." Gloria nodded, "He comes from a long line of fishermen and smugglers. But I encourage the fishing." Gloria smiles.

"Aunt Gloria?" I began, making her turn to look at me.

"Yes, mi amor?"

"I don't really like fishing, could I go and visit a friend instead?" I asked her, she smiled and nodded.

"Of course, Mi amor." Gloria Adair as Manny walked into the kitchen.

"Manny, you like to fish?" Jay asked.

"Fishing? Yeah." Manny nodded.

"You want to go to the pier today?" Gloria asked him.

"Is this a trick to see if I'm really sick?" Manny asked, his eyebrows furrowing.

"No." Gloria said as she moved some of his hair aside, "Maybe the fresh air will make you feel better."

"Well, then yeah," Manny smiles, "'cause there's no place where I'm more at one with—"

"Just get your coat." Jay interrupted, making Manny frown a little.

——

Gloria and Jay has dropped me off at the Dunphy house before they drive to the pier with Manny. I knocked on their door but no one answered. I was about to knock again until I heard Phil talking to someone.

"Excited?" Phil asked.

"Yeah." I heard Luke reply. I walked towards the noise to see Ben waking up the driveway. "Oh, hi Y/N." Luke grinned.

"Y/N," Phil smiled, "Hey. Luke and I were just about to see what's under the house, wanna join?" Phil asked as he began unscrewing something.

"Uh, sure." I smiled.

"There's a uniform inside of the house, as well as a head torch. They're just in the table." Luke told me. I nodded and walked inside.

——

"Ready?" Phil asked as he looked at the two of us.

"Ready." We both replied. Phil smiles and looked back at what he was unscrewing.

"Let's do this." He said as he took it off, only for a rat to squeak at him. "Oh, Hey!" Phil raises his voice as he backed away, "Wow."

"You okay?" We asked him.

"Yeah." Phil replied as he looked at us, "Yeah, I am." He said then looked towards the opening in the house, "Yep. Gonna take a little more than getting trapped in a small, dark place with a wild animal to rattle your old man."

"All right." Luke laughed a little.

"Okay." Phil said as he clapped his hands together, "Let's do this, kids." Phil slowly began crawling in, but backed away when the rat or mouse squeaked at him. "Okay! Good Recon. Got the lay of the land, so—"

"Aren't we going in?" Luke asked him.

"Yep, we are." Phil replies, "But won't it be fun if we did it with ski goggles and barbecue tools?"

"I guess." We both shrugged.

"Yeah. Let's do that." Phil said as we walked away.

——

We were back at the hole in the side of the house. We had grabbed more than just Ski Goggles and Barbecue Tools. Phil had grabbed a remote control car, with a GoPro camera attached to it. Phil has just finished adding the last of the duct tape to the car and camera.

"See how much better this is?" Phil asked. "The truck goes in. It gets a video. And then we get a preview of whatever's in there. How ingenious is that, huh?"

"Are you just scared to go in?" Luke asked him.

"Why would you say that?" Phil asked.

"Well, when you stuck your head in, you screamed a little." I said.

"I told you. That was the house settling. Besides, this is so much cooler. This is how NASA does it." Phil said to us, "Now band me the Itty Bitty Book Light."

We gave him the book light. "Yeah." He smiled as he started taping it to the side of the car, "Final piece of the puzzle." Phil said as he put the car inside of the hole, "Blast off."

Phil picked up the controller and drove the car. "Hey, Dad?" Luke asked as he looked up at him. "How are you supposed to steer if you don't know where you're going?"

"Stay in the present, buddy." Phil said, "Gotta do it by feel. Gotta get all Jedi on it."

"You do realise that if the car gets stuck, someone is gonna have to climb in there to get it." I said, making Phil look at me.

"Y/N, don't worry. Everything's— Uh-Oh." Ohio's smile suddenly turned into a frown.

"Everything's not fine." I shook my head.

"Did you just lose my truck?" Luke asked.

"No." Phil replies.

"You just lost my truck."

"No I didn't."

"That was my truck. Grandpa just gave it to me!"

"I told you to stay in the present!" Phil yelled.

"Stop yelling!" I interrupted the two. Luke pursed his lips.

"Truce?" Luke asked, putting his hand out for Phil to shake.

"Yeah. Sorry." The two shook hands. Luke looked into the hole and sighed.

"I still can't believe you lost my truck." Luke sighed.

"It's fine, buddy. Let it go." Phil said, "You know, maybe it's better we don't solve this little mystery. Sometimes treasures more sparkly in your imagination, where it could be gold or baseball cards or pirate maps."

"Do you really think there could be pirate maps under there?" Luke asked.

"That'd be cool." I said, looking at the hole.

"I'm a hundred percent sure it's possible." Phil said. Luke looked down at the hole.

"All right. I'm going in." Luke nodded.

"What?" Phil And I looked at him. Luke crouched down And took a deep breath before jumping in. "Woah." Phil said, "What do you see?"

"Nothing." Luke replied, "It's real dark in here. Wait a minute. I think I see my truck. It's right over there by the— Uh-Oh."

"What?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowing.

"I think I'm stuck." Luke told us.

"How are you stuck?" Phil asked, getting closer to the hole.

"My belt loop got caught in a pipe. And it's hot. Dad, it's hot! Hurry!" Luke said. Phil slowly climbed into the hole. "And hurry. There's spiders in here."

Phil climbed back out, "Oh!" He shouted.

I rolled my eyes and climbed in, Phil decided to follow.

"We're coming, buddy." Phil said as we crawled towards Luke.

"Over here." Luke said.

"That's—" Phil stopped to spit, "a spider web."

"Ew." I scrunched up my face. We managed to get to Luke. Phil managed to free him.

"Thanks, Dad." Luke said.

That's what Dad's do." Phil nodded, "Let's get out of here."

"I want my truck." Luke told him.

"Really?"

"It was a Christmas gift. Could you go get it?" Luke asked. Phil hesitantly nodded.

"Uh, Yeah. Sure. Let's go— let's go through it." Phil said as we crawled further. We saw the light coming from the book lamp. I managed to grab it

"Got it." I smiled, bringing the truck to us.

"You two okay?" Phil asked us.

"Yeah." We said in unison. "Are you okay?" Luke asked him.

"You know what? I am okay. We did it." Phil laughed. "What the heck." Phil grinned, "We're down here. Why don't we see why we got, huh?"

"Yeah." Luke And I both replied.

Phil grabbed the car, "Three intrepid explorers..." Phil said as he slowly moved the car's light to see what was under here, "make their way on a journey—" he paused as the light shone on some skulls, and other bones. We all screamed as we attempted to leave.

Once we got out of the hole, Phil called the police. Detectives came over and they climbed grouch the hike and searched the bodies. After a few minutes they came out, and told us that the bones were just the last owners halloween decorations.
