chapter eleven

waking up the next morning, he felt a huge pain in his head. it's probably his hangover.

"hi, ruby..." he whispered when the dog went up to the bed. "where's daddy?" he asked.

"i'm here, baby."

his head suddenly raised when the door was opened, showing the tall handsome guy carrying a food tray where's the meal that is good for two.

watching him assemble the food, the party and confession last night suddenly came to taeyong's mind that made him stop. first because he remembers what he did last night when he usually didn’t everytime he gets drunk.

second, because he confessed and lastly, because of his first kiss that is he was the one who made a first move for it.

seeing jaehyun being occupied fixing the food, taeyong took the chance to sneak out. jaehyun might not notice him, he will just go closer towards the door before he runs.

but jaehyun can teleport, how is that possible?

"let's eat and we will have a talk, hmm?" jaehyun said, smiling as he heard taeyong's thoughts.

"jae..." taeyong called. "i still have the confidence to face you but everything that i said last night was true... i can't keep this up any longer because i also don't want to be hurt— aaa!"

he shouted when jaehyun suddenly teleported in front of him.

"hurt, what?" he asked calmly, leaning closer. "you won't hurt yourself nor anyone, i do feel the same, baby. is my kiss not enough to prove it?" his eyebrow raised.

"but i was the one who kissed you last night," taeyong said.

"do you want me to kiss you again to prove it?" he smirked.

and taeyong slowly nodded.

jaehyun smirked widely before raising taeyong's chin up and pressed their lips together, but this time, they responded to each other, it was more passionate and soft.

"let's eat, shall we?" he smiled.

"you taste like a peach, are you using lip balm, my love?" taeyong asked softly.

and hearing that endearment, jaehyun suddenly felt his heart stop, ears were getting red that fast.

"fuck, you really driving me crazy, taeyong." and he held his chest. "i'm the only one who will call you in any endearment, you're not allowed."

"why?! that's unfair!" he whined.

"you don't know how it made me crazy, love." jaehyun said.

taeyong let out a giggle and took a seat to eat his breakfast, he still couldn't believe that they were having mutual feelings. his first and second kiss were worth it, he thought he would have them with different guys.

while jaehyun, who is reading his mind, can't help not to smile and also took a seat in front of taeyong. he actually didn’t expect that he would confess his feelings this early.

even though he knows that taeyong will leave soon.

"i woke up and you aren't there," ten said when taeyong arrived inside the room.

"i was in jaehyun's room," taeyong said.

"you're the only one that jaehyun let sleep in his bed," he pouted.

"why? you guys haven't yet?" he frowned.

"yeah," he nodded.

even in his room in their kingdom, jaehyun doesn't let anyone sleep on his bed. that's why they were surprised when they found out that taeyong used to sleep on jaehyun's bed and jaehyun slept on the ground instead.

taeyong decided to go to his favorite place when johnny arrived in their room, since he doesn't want to be a third wheel, he decided to go to the garden together with ruby.

"don't go far away, baby." taeyong said as he put ruby down.

the sun didn’t hurt his skin too much so he decided to play with the butterflies, but while doing it, he stopped when his eyes saw something familiar.

the portal.

his feet unconsciously walked towards it, taeyong suddenly didn’t know what to do but when he stopped in front of the portal which is like a mirror. he slowly raised his hand and touched the portal.

this is it, he will finally go back home.

but something suddenly stopped him, taeyong went back to his senses and walked backwards. he suddenly couldn't do it when someone came to his mind.

jaehyun.

"hi, baby. how's your day?" he greeted when he knew it was taeyong who entered the kitchen.

"what are you doing, love?" he asked as he put ruby down.

"preparing for lunch," he smiled.

"can i get a hug?" he pouted.

jaehyun stopped what he was doing, he put the knife down and wiped his hand before opening his arm. taeyong could only pout more before walking closer and hugged him.

taeyong didn’t know why, it was already his chance to go back home but when jaehyun came to his mind, he suddenly didn't want to go home.

"something bothers you, hmm?" jaehyun asked softly as he looked down at him.

"nothing," he smiled and closed his eyes.

"let me finish our lunch first, love." jaehyun said and brushed his hair.

"sorry," he giggled and let go of the hug. "i will just watch here while eating some gummies." he smiled and went on the stool.

jaehyun just smiled at him and continued on with what he was doing. acting innocently as if he didn’t hear taeyong's thoughts. he needs to finish this lunch as soon as possible.

the only way to bring taeyong's home is the portal, but why is the portal suddenly shown out of nowhere?

"do you have any plans today?" jaehyun asked when taeyong finished eating his lunch.

"oh, ten, winwin and i were going to wash some clothes in the river." he smiled.

"it sounds different that you don't sound like a brat these past few days." selena said, joining the conversation.

"do i have to?" his eyebrow raised.

taeyong also noticed it, he became soft towards anyone now especially to jaehyun but his spoiled ass was still there. he still wanted to get everything he wants. just his way of communication was changed.

"still brat," selena said and rolled her eyes.

"you didn't even hear any words from me about you being a brat, so better shut your mouth off." taeyong said and rolled his eyes.

jaehyun had a smirk on his face, he didn’t even bother to stop them because just like others that are still at the table, he was enjoying the scene.

after the lunch, taeyong already fixed his used clothes that he will be going to wash today together with others. he already knows how to do it because he almost stayed here for a month.

"don't create any scene there with other people, okay?" jaehyun said softly.

"are you not trusting me?" taeyong hissed.

"not that way, baby. your patience was too short and you have the worst anger issue." jaehyun said and brushed his hair.

taeyong just glared at him, and jaehyun suddenly gulped because he might offend him. he just gave him a forehead kiss.

"take care." jaehyun said calmly.

"ew, you two were really flirting here?!" ten suddenly ruined the moment.

"now you know what it feels," taeyong said and made a face.

jaehyun just chuckled as he watched them leave. when he made sure that they were already gone, he suddenly became serious.

he made his way at the conference room where the others already are, he found them already talking about the issue this day.

"taeyong literally saw the portal," jaehyun said. "how it could be possible? besides, the agreement about the portal between dad and i is about three weeks from now." he said seriously.

"it could be a trap, jaehyun." johnny said. "luckily that taeyong didn’t go inside the portal or else, it might create a huge problem."

"but that still became the way for the east kingdom to confirm that there's a human here." mark said.

"or maybe they already know? maybe they just want to get taeyong hyung and use him as a hostage?" jeno said.

"yeah, they might have planned this, jaehyun." johnny said. "they were the one who made taeyong go here, and they will use him to create a war."

"we need to send him home as soon as possible, jaehyun." he finished off.

they just found out that their feelings were mutual, jaehyun can't explain how happy he was about it. but for his loved one's safety, he needs to do this.

maybe, this is not the right time for the both of them.

if they can't continue their love story in this universe, jaehyun won't let that happen again in taeyong's universe.
