A/N: I get to do an informative speech on Teen Wolf and I regret nothing xxx -Melissa

61.

*Addison*

I didn't know if I'd killed her. I didn't know where I stood with my powers.

I detached my headphones from my phone and pocketed them, unlocking to my home screen. Dialing Derek, I kept my eyes on Rosalie's body.

Demons didn't always look like they were breathing, and Rose was one tricky bitch to kill.

It took a minute, but he finally answered. "Addison?"

"I need a favour from you." I said, not touching Rose but still keeping close.

"Interesting way of wording that." Derek commented, but just barely out of breath. "Go on."

"Shut up." I glanced up to the near full moon. "Can you bring me my 45?"

"Why do you need a gun at 3 in the morning?" Derek asked, moving away from the chatter behind him.

"I went for a run and then Rosalie found Erica and I. I've got Rose either dead or unconcious and I'd feel better if I could at least keep her in one body."

Rosalie and I went camping out here once for the cancelled girl scouts trip out of state. Because It'd been storming in Colorado and we were both disappointed, Rose's dad took us out here.

"Where is it?" His voice faded out, intending to talk to the people behind him. "I'll be back in a little while."

"It's in my room." I hesitated, "My window is unlocked."

Derek slid into his car, "Surprise, surprise."

I rolled my eyes, "Please."

"I'm on it. Where am I bringing it to?" He asked, the hum of Derek's car audible to me.

"The cross country course at the high school. Take it backwards and you'll find me sooner." I told him, averting my eyes down to Rosalie. "The gun is on my desk and be careful touching it because it's made of silver, but Stiles is asleep in there so be quiet."

"I'd love to see his reaction of me sneaking into your room." Derek sarcastically said, coming out of his car.

"And don't forget my dad is home too."

Derek laughed, "Are you trying to scare me away?"

"Just warning, that's all." Barely smiling, I looked back to the trees, hoping Erica wasn't stupid enough to come back.

"I'll be to you in five."

Hanging up, I pocketed my cell phone. Poking Rosalie in the side with my foot, I was curious to see if she was alive.

Rosalie shifted, but only because of my touch. She seemed pretty damn dead.

"Addison?"

I jerked my head to the side, my eyes wide at the voice.

"Paige?"

A sharp scream covered me, but it wasn't mine.

Spinning back to where Rose was, she wasn't there.

"Addi?" This time, it was Erica.

I whipped around again, seeing Erica standing completely still. A panic had filled her eyes as she cupped her stomach.

"Oh, God." I darted over, catching her as she collapsed forward.

"You told me not to come back." Erica's chin stayed on my shoulder, breathing heavy and interrupted by licks of blood coming to her lips. "I should've listened to you. I'm sorry."

I held the back of Erica's head, softly stroking her head. "Why aren't you healing?"

"She, she," Erica could barely make words. "she ripped out too much. I can't-"

"Shh, shh." I shut my eyes, "This is all my fault, I'm sorry."

"Don't blame yourself for everything." Erica whispered, her body stilling in my grasp.

"Erica?" My eyes opened, "Erica."

She was gone.

"Damn it, Erica." I said through gritted teeth, "You didn't listen to me." I moved around, sitting down on the floor with Erica in my lap.

Erica's eyes faded from a golden glow, a glimmer of nothing left.

"Come on," I muttered, moving her hair so it set perfectly. I swore again, my jaw clenched. I blinked away a warm water reaching the rim of my eyes, trying so hard to keep it together.

I could hear the intrusctions of the late Victoria Argent.

Assess the damage.

I found Erica's hand, it smothered in blood. It was dark outside, but I knew it was black. Pulling the flash light on my phone up, I held it between the teeth.

Approach it without emotion.

Shifting the perfectly tanned hand out of the way, a hole the size of a hand held reign over the middle of her torso.

That's what she meant. Erica couldn't heal because Rosalie had ripped out too much. Some of her organs were missing.

Taking my cell out of my mouth, I put it back in my pocket. "I'm so sorry, Erica."

"Addison?" Derek's feet picked up, abruptly stopping next to me. "Addison, what happened?"

"I told her to run. I told Erica she needed to run."

Derek's jaw fell slack, his eyes on Erica's body.

"I-I-"

"Addi," Derek knelt down, "I need you to call Isaac and Boyd. Tell them what happened."

"It's my fault, Derek."

"It's not." Derek picked up Erica's body, carrying her like a cradel. "Call Isaac."

I wiped my palms on my jacket, the black blood trying to keep a hang on me. Pulling myself up, I produced my phone again. Taking in a soft breath, I tried to pull my hunter composure together and quickly wiped away a tear with the back of my hand.

"Addi?" Isaac answered on the second ring. "Hey, what's going on?"

"She's dead, Isaac." I took in a thick breath, putting a calmness over me like a sheild. "Erica's dead."

"What do you mean she's dead?" Isaac's voice fell grave. "That's not possible."

"She's dead, Isaac. She's gone and it's my fault."

"Where are you, right now?" Isaac quickly asked, swallowing harder than normal.

"Wait, wait, no! Don't leave the loft. Rosalie is running around out here; I can't have something happening to you too. Tell Boyd he can't leave either - I don't want this to keep happening."

"Ads-"

"Isaac. I warded the loft for a reason. Stay there."

Derek came back out from the woods, his face void of expression.

"Just stay, I need you to stay there." I told him, hanging up the call. Pulling it away, I turned to Derek.

"It's done."

"It's my fault." I met him the rest of the way. "I'm the reason another person is dead."

Derek pulled me into a hug, keeping me against his chest. "Tell me what happened, from the beginning."

And I did.

"Is her coming back for you the reason you think it's your fault?" Derek rested his chin on my head, his hand running along my back. "This isn't your fault."

'Everything is my fault, Derek. That's one thing that will never change. Not even when I'm dead."

Whether it be in a few days or a year, it was inevitable. Death was calling my name like a siren lures sailors.
