Once the group was all together, we decided to climb the rest of Infinity Mountain. Unfortunately, when we got there, we realized that we were on a small island with no way out. From all the climbing, it was best for us to take a break. I noticed Tai was looking through his telescope and repeatedly gazed down. He was drawing a map of the island, if you can even call it that. There were just a bunch of squiggles and pencil scratches.
"Tai," Naomi glanced over his shoulder, trying to hold back a laugh. "Boi, my dude, child....what is that?"
"It's a map, obviously!"
"No question, man. You are dude of doodles." I commented.
"If you read that map, it'll lead you to a headache." Sora added.
"Well, I can read it just fine and that's all that matters!"
"Tai-*snort*...stop lying to yourself."
The conversations were cut when we heard a rumble by the edge. We check it out and there's a lion-like digimon across from us. Our digimon tried to assure us that this Leomon was a friend than a foe. That seemed to be a lie when he said he wanted to destroy us. The dude pulled out a blade and flew straight for us! That was our cue to run. As a way to slow him down, Agumon used his pepper breath to attack. We thought he lost him for good, suddenly, a green ogre digimon blocks our way. He didn't seem like a friend either. We're now caught between two digimon who both have an urge to kill us.
"But, Leomon has always been Ogremon's worst enemy! What's happened to him?" Biyomon questioned.
I honestly don't have an answer for that, for sure. If that's so, was he probably hit by a black gear? Leomon and Ogre were about to rip us apart when our digimon thankfully digivolved. Greymon, Garurumon, and Togemon went against Leomon. And Birdramon, Kabuterimon, and Ikkakumon against Ogremon. Expecting a big fight, I quickly grabbed T.K. and brought him behind a boulder.
As they were fighting, an avalanche suddenly triggered above us. Luckily, our digimon blew up the boulders and our safety was ensured.
"Everybody okay?" Asked Tai.
"Yeah, like a day at the beach." I say sarcastically.
Looking at our digital friends, they were already back to their rookie forms. Probably from their exhaustion. We even noticed that the bad guys have disappeared too, nowhere in sight. None us were sure if they fell of the cliff or just fled. We put that thought aside as we walk back down the mountain.
"I'm intrigued that our digimon were able to digivolved twice in one day." Izzy enlightened.
"It was sure lucky for us that they able to do it," Tai commented.
"I think the digimon are growing stronger. I wonder if that's part of their evolution or we're bringing out something within them?" Sore thought and Izzy agreed.
"I think today was too much for them." I suggested. "It's pretty obvious that they're worn out. They need a rest."
"Honestly, I think that would be a good idea for all of us," admitted Joe.
"Yeah, but where?" Shrugged Naomi,"I'm sure none of us want to sleep on the ground again."

The words were taken right out of my mouth the moment Joe spotted a mansion in the small distance. The group sprint towards the building and it seemed too good to be true. As we stepped inside, we assumed there to be people, but no one was there. Of course, as nice this place looked, we half of us were still sceptical about this. However, Joe had a point about lucky roof above our heads.
"That's beautiful!" T.K. exclaimed as he saw a portrait of a lovely angel. "An angel!
"What's an angel, T.K.?" Asked Pattamon.
"Something special that watches over you," he answered. "Kinda like you guys."
Ack! My heart! How is child so savage at one moment, yet wholesome at the next?!
"If this is some spooky, haunted house, would there be pictures of angels here? I don't think so!" Joe raised his voice.
"Relax," said Sora,"were just trying to be careful. And keep your voice down, or you'll wake everyone up." She motioned at the sleeping digimon.
"They're out like a light." I said.
But there tiredness went away for a moment when they said they smelled food. Their noses lead us to a dining hall with a long table full of goods: cooked meat, fruits, vegetables, and bread. Though, this seemed a little too real. We weren't sure to eat it until the digimon said otherwise. They were scarfing down the food like a machine, even Joe was eating like a savage. Sooner or later, we gave in. The food tasted good but to me, I think I was only person that didn't feel filled. I could be just paranoid, right?
After dinner, we hit the bath. The water felt nice and warm, it was relaxing. Except for the guys who were causing noise on the other side.
"Why do the have to be so loud?" Sora exasperated.
"Relax, Sora," sighed Mimi.
I rolled my head back,"yeah, forget about 'em."
"I've never seen so relaxed in my entire life!" Said Gowamon- wait!
The girls and I gasped. "What the heck, dude!"
"Get back to boys side!" Palmon ordered, flinging him over the wall with her vines.
After the bath, we were wrapped in soft, bath robes and inside wonderful beds. It had been a long time since we've actually had a bed to sleep in. It makes you look back on how fortunate we were back home.
"We've really missed the easy life." I joked.
"I'll tell you what I don't miss," mentioned Joe,"I don't miss hiking through the blazing, hot desert. And another thing I don't miss is starving from the jungle."
". . ." Way to kill the mood, Joe.
"We are a long way from home...sorry."
"It's okay, Joe," I quietly, assured. "We all miss home and still wonder if we'll ever get back."
"I'm sure our disappearance caused a big fuss at school and all over town." Matt assumed. "But we've been gone for so long, they probably stopped looking for us."
"Mom and dad wouldn't stop...," uttered T.K.
"Now, I'm homesick again." Mimi teared up. "Aren't you?"
"We'll find our way back, don't worry, Mimi." Comforted Sora.
"Let's get some sleep, guys." I suggested,"Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
I drifted off to a small slumber. Even if it was short, I still saw something in my dream. It was like dejavu. A little girl, who ran around in the park, suddenly stopped when she saw giant egg under the rusty, old school slide. It had a royal purple color with green spots all over, it also had a red cloth tied around it. The girl pick it up and I saw her face in full view.
Was that me? There's absolutely no way.
It is...
The girl took the egg home with her. She cared for it like it was a real egg, she'd even sleep with in under her arm. The scene changed again to where the girl was playing with her stuffed toys, while the egg was wrapped in a blanket beside her. The mother call her for dinner, she then placed a kiss on the egg before leaving the room.
When she came back, the egg had hatched! The girl panicked and search her room for the possible chicken baby that came out. After a few minutes of searching, she gave up. Suddenly, there was shove on her back. She turn her head back and saw a small, purple, bubble thing with horns and scowling eyes.
"Chicky-baby?"
The child reach out her hand to pet it but it pulled away. She sat there in thought before leaving and came back with peanut butter chewy bars. Ripping the wrapper open, she tossed a small piece to the purple creature. It was hesitant, but, eventually ate the treat. It came closer, wanting more. She picked it up and gave the rest of the bar to it.
"My chicky-baby...-"
"WAKE UP, EVERYBODY! Something's wrong!"
I jolt away and I find that the mansion is gone. It was nothing but a bunch of ruin. The beds were suddenly lifted into the air. I looked down and I saw Tai and Agumon with a demon digimon. He seemed to say something that set the bad guy off. The island tore apart into the ocean and black gears flew out of the mountain. If things weren't bad enough, Leomon showed up at the scene! He was about to destroy Tai on the boss' command until a shine of light lifted the spell he was under. However, that didn't stop Devimon, as I heard.
He made the flying beds fall fast. Leomon quickly attacked Devimon and the beds were flying before we touched the ground. Our beds were scattered to different islands. Now, we're apart.....
