you were woken up by your alarm and you rolled out of bed. 

you went to your dresser and picked up the clothes you chose last night. (Image above)

you walked downstairs and saw your mum crying

You: Mummy whats wrong?

(Jill-mums name)

Jill: Nothing get ready for school

you walked away confused but you brushed it off. you ate breakfast and left for school. since you lived in the same suburb, it was 5 minutes walking distance.

you arrived at school and as always people bullied you.

???:fat ass

???: Ugly

???: nobody loves you

???: Hang yourself already

you were used to the comments so you just walked to class

<Time skip - after school>

you walked home and saw mums phone open on the table. you looked at it and it said 

'The court wants to see you this afternoon about the divorce. when the divorce is taken through, you will loose custody over the child and she will be handed over to Luke.

(Luke-dads name)

Jill: What are you doing?!

she said taking the phone away from you?

You: Whats a divorce?

Jill: pack your bags, your going to be staying at a friends house tonight

you: Cool! 

you ran upstairs and packed some clothes into your bag. you grabbed your frame with your family picture because when you were scared, you hugged it.

Jill: ok get in the car now

you ran and hopped in the backseat

you: Mum this isn't Riley's house

you said as she pulled into the drive way of what looked like a mansion

Jill: I know honey. we aren't going to Riley's house

you: Where are then?

Jill: Someplace else

you hopped out of the car and she walked you to the front door.

Jill: Go inside i will be there in a minute, i uhh left my keys in the car

you: Ok mummy love you

<Jills pov>

My husband abused me lots. i finally had the courage to file a divorce. i can barely take care of Eva with lukes help. and without him, we would both starve. i decided to take her to an orphanage. i was telling her to go inside and tell her i forgot my keys in the car. then i was going to drive away without her.  i tolf her to go inside and she said 'ok mummy love you' my heart broke then and there. i walked over and hugged her for the last time with tears streaming down my face. 

'I love you too, i'm going to miss you. Don't worry, they will take good care of you.'

<Eva's pov>

what does she mean by ill miss you.

You: ok bye mummy, ill wait for you inside

i opened the big doors and trotted in. i walked to the sofas and looked out the window.  I heard the car start and she drove away. i put my hands on the window and watched her car disappear into darkness.

you whispered 

you: bye mummy, see you soon.

you jumped when someone tapped you on the shoulder.

???: Hi whats your name sweetie?

you: Im everlyn,  but everyone calls me eva

???: hi im miss Mae, the head of the orphanage.

You: Whats an orphanage?

(M.M-Miss Mae)

M.M: an orphanage is a place where kids come when they don't have parents or their parents cant look after them.

You: Where's my mum?

M.M: Your mum? She left. she took you here because she cant look after you

You: what does that mean?

M.M: Sweetie, shes gone. She might never come back.

when you heard those words your heart sank.

you: You mean i will never see her again?

M.M: I'm sorry but yes

she hugged you and you cried into her shoulder.

<Time skip-an hour later>

M.M: Would you like me to show you to your room?

You: ok. you said sniffling

Miss Mae took you to a room with to girls who appeared you age, playing on a bed.

M.M: Chloe? Lilly? This is Eva, she is staying in your room now.

???: Hi Im Chloe! 

???: Hi Im Lilly! They said excitedly

you: im Eva. you said looking at your feet.

Ch: Me and Lilly are identical twins wanna come and play with the barbies? we have a spare one!

you looked up at them

You: o....okk

Lilly grabbed your hand and raced over to the bed. Chloe followed shortly after. 

As soon as you guys started playing, you knew. You would all be best friends.

<Time skip-2 months later>

You were sitting in your room with Lilly and Chloe when Miss Mae walked in the room.

M.M: Some men are here to adopt a child. be downstairs in 5 minutes

You, Chloe and Lilly: Ok Miss Mae

you guys were getting up when you accidentally tripped and broke one of their toys. 

Li: OH MY GOSH EVA SERIOUSLY?!?!?! Lilly screamed

You: sorry i tripped

Ch: I Hate you! We got that from our mum and dad!

You: sorry

Li : YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO TALK TO US ANYMORE!

Ch: IN FACT YOUR NOT OUR FRIENDS ANYMORE!

They screamed at you. Lilly came to you and slapped you, Chloe pulled your hair. 

You managed to get free and ran. 

you ran down the stairs and ran into this man.

???: Sorry you okay?

You just burst into tears and sat on the step. your face was in your knees and your arms around that. he hugged you

???: what happened?

you didn't respond. you just started crying harder.

after about 10 minutes you calmed down enough for you to speak.

???: What happened?

You managed to tell him what happened without crying to much between words.

???: I'm Jonah, whats your name?

You: Im Everlyn, everyone calls me Eva though.

Jo: well hi everlyn

You looked at him and smiled

Jo: Im really thirsty, is there a cafeteria here?

You: Whats a cafeteria?

Jo: its a place where you eat, there are tables and usually a kitchen

you: Ohhhh that's what its called, yeah its over here.

you took Jonah over to the cafeteria and he grabbed a cup of water.

you saw Lilly and Chloe walk in and looked at you. They laughed and looked at you disgusted. You saw them and stared. They started walking to you. you got scared and looked where you could run. you ran to jonah and hid near him.

Jo: What are you doing? He said smiling

You: They are here

Jo: who are here?

<Jonahs pov>

these two girls walked up to Eva pretty close, They resemble the girls she was talking about earlier

???: Hey Eva. Wanna play a game? she said smirking

???: Yeah Eva, its called beat up the one who we dont like.

I looked at Eva and she looked terrified.

Then the younger looking one tried to punch Eva in the stomach. Eva ducked between them and ran behind me

???: Come on now, we will get you the easy way, or the hard way.

me: Don't touch her

lilly and chloe: Make us.

i looked at Eva and picked her up, she leaned her head on my chest. i knew then and there, i wanted to adopt her.

I walked to the front desk still holding Eva

Jo: I know who i want to adopt

M.M: Who?

Jo: Everlyn

M.M: Ok 

M.M: Eva?

you managed to get the energy to lift your head of Jonah's chest and looked at miss Mae

M.M: Go pack your bags, take everything with you

you: Okay

Jonah put you down and you ran upstairs making sure you packed before the twins came to the room.

You walked downstairs and Jonah grabbed your hand.

Jo: you ready?

You: Yes

Jo: oh bye the way, i have 4 friends. i live with them and they are in the car. so when you see them don't be alarmed.

you: Ok

you walked to the car and just as you were a metre away the door swung open and a boy jumped out

you dropped your bag and jumped

???: Hi What's Your Name? I'm Jack

he said sounding the words out

You: You realise i can speak?

You said laughing

Ja: Wow someones got an attitude. He said laughing and then getting back in the car and pulling the seat down so you could go in the very back row of seats. 

Jo: This is Jack, Zach, Daniel, Corbyn and you already know me.

Jonah was driving, Daniel was in the passenger seat, jack and Zach sat right next to Each other in the middle and you sat next to Corbyn in the back. (There was a seat between you and Corbyn, unlike jack and Zach.)

you smiled and looked out the window the whole car ride.
