The title of the first chapter intrigued her further that Iva did not feel like stopping with just few sentences unlike she did usually with other books. There was more to this isolation which she was determined to break. Never had anyone made such an effort to shatter these shallow walls of isolation. This comforted Barefaced with Iva something which never happened earlier for him.

It was no longer just a chapter in Barefaced as they began to complement each other. She on the other side wasn’t the ideal reader as he noticed her being unable to comprehend and pronounce certain words by reading her lips. She even had this weird habit of skipping chapters in between while reading. There was no coherence in her way of reading which kind of helped here as Barefaced was such kind of book which lacked coherence in itself. Do we really need to be perfect when life by itself is flawed?

Though she went through a silent reading, the constant conflict of ID card with him was enough to provide the necessary rhythm. After few minutes of persistent reading, she began to connect with Barefaced. Both were equally amused as he had never felt this way with a reader while for Iva, even the popular writings failed to give her this connect. Maybe it was an eternal connect they shared.

It’s strange. Why am I feeling this way with you? Never did I have such a feel with any others I have read in these years. Do you feel the same?’ Iva initiated a conversation with Barefaced.

This took him to a state of ecstasy as a flock of pages swayed as a sign of agreement. There was an instant smile on Iva’s face. The bond that blossomed between them was beyond words. If the bonding between two souls were special then theirs was beyond that. Iva who was a firm believer of universe felt this was destiny’s design. This term felt unique to Barefaced who was never been addressed like this by any reader.

After all he never knew something bigger was waiting for him because of Iva. The initial few chapters started to impress her big time that for the first time in his life was Barefaced exposed to the billing counter. Yes, Iva decided to buy that book as she felt that it could bring her the much needed change. There was a kind of difference sensed by the shopkeeper when this young girl chose him. The shopkeeper who had been working in this shop for years did not even know such a book existed in his stack which was the reason for his weird expression. Still Iva was confident of her choice. It looked like they both shared a good compatibility.

Will she be just another or is she the perfect reader whom Barefaced has been looking for years? He was excited to know the next part of his journey and equal excitement was visible in Iva who felt this book might bring a positive change in her life.
