I was confused at his behavior so freeing myself from Krish's grip and greeting everyone I went behind him.
He was standing outside holding the railing so tight that his knuckles were almost white.
I went and stood next to him and asked.

"Tum aise kyu chale aaye?"

(Why did you come out?) He was startled hearing my voice.

"Uhm woh Ananya.."
(Uhm actually Ananya..) I did not let him complete his sentence and spoke

"Na Ananya, na Krish, iss sawal ke beech aur koi nahi hai Kabir.
Tum aur mai aur hamare beech yeh ek sawaal, tum aise kyu chale aaye?"
(Neither Ananya, nor Krish, no one comes in between this question. It's only you and me and this question between us. Why did you come out like this?) I asked him again.

"Kyuki mai."

"Kyuki tum kya Kabir?"
(Because you what Kabir?)

"Kyuki mai tumhe kisi aur ke sath nahi dekh sakta."
(Because I cannot see you with someone else.)

"Kyu nahi dekh sakte?"
(Why can't you see me with someone else?)

"Kyuki woh hakh hamesha se main chahta tha, Preet."
(Because I wanted this right Preet.) He finally answered.

"Toh kaha kyu nahi mujhse idiot?"
(Then why didn't you tell me idiot?)

"Darta tha Preet, tum na kehdogi. Main toh marr hi jata."
(I was scared Preet, you would reject. I would've died.)

"Aur joh itne saalo se mai marr rahi thi ?"
(And what about me, I died all these years?)
I asked him and then continued.

"Kabhi nahi socha tumne ki sari umar julhe pe tumhara hath thame jo ladki baithi hai uska iss pure jaha mai le deke bus ek hi saathi kyu hai?
Kabhi nahi socha tumne ki ghuma phira ke uss ladki ki har baat tumse hi shuru aur tumpe hi khatam kyu hoti hai?
Kabhi nahi socha tumne ki jis ladki ne ek ladke ke sath bachpan se leke jawani tak ka safar taye kiya, usse apni baki zindagi ke liye kissi aur ladke ki jarurat kyu hoti? Kabhi nahi socha ki uss pagli ke liye uska woh ek sathi hi kafi tha, woh ek hi ladka, Tum!
Tumne kabhi nahi socha ki akhir woh ek ladki hai, apne dil ka haal pehle kaise kehti? Kabhi nahi socha tumne Kabhi bhi nahi."

(You never thought that girl on the swing holding your hand , why does she has only one companion in this whole world?
Why Didn't you ever think that why does every thing in her life revolves around you?
Why did it not cross your mind that right from childhood to adulthood she was happy with that one companion, so why would she need someone else for the rest her life.
That stupid girl was satisfied with that One companion, that One boy, YOU!
Why didn't you ever think that after all she is a Girl, how would she confess her feelings first?
Why Kabir? Why?)
I asked him.

Without thinking about anything else he pulled me towards himself.
That moment we didn't confess anything else.
We didn't need those three magical words to let the other know about our feelings.
His warm eyes, his protective embrace, his soothing smile was enough to last a lifetime.
