:Isaac:

Pride and happiness swelled in me at the thought of Lore being my girlfriend. The way she hugged me and her frail form with her arms wrapped around me. Her scent filling my nose teasing me senseless making me want her even more.

'She's like the forbidden fruit that we want so badly, yet can't have until it is offered.' That was one wait to put it. But I got one step closer to that forbidden fruit with our relationship. The kiss on her soft cheek was like nirvana to me, it wasn't her lips though.

But I would take the cheek over nothing. I had never felt so happy before in my life and it showed when I went home. My mother had run out with my father for some errands, shopping and things like that. All I could do was happily sit down at the counter.

Tomorrow Lore would be back over at my house, but this time not as my friend. But as my girlfriend and that thought made me feel so special. Biting my lip I got up and a drink and sat down as I sat down with a bit of a smile as Isadora texted me.

'You tell her the good news, she did try to play a hand on getting us together. . . behind our backs of course.' 'That does sound like Isadora honestly.' I nodded at that. She was asking me how my coffee date went and I grinned.

We're dating now.

And then I hit send. Turns out Isadora was just as excited for me. Isadora was one of those friends you could practically tell anything. Good news? She tended to be just as excited as you were. Hands down Isadora was my bestfriend without a doubt in the world.

I loved having a friend like her. 'She is a good friend, and her wolf Blossom is quite something else, she's quite something.' I nodded at that as I shut my phone off feeling quite proud of myself as of right now, more so than ever.

Sure graduating high school was something, as well as the online college that I was in. But now I had a girlfriend. And not just some random girl from the street either. My mate. Since I turned sixteen three years ago I had been waiting for this to happen, and now it finally happened.

Lore was my girlfriend and honestly I had never been more thrilled. 'She's so sweet and now she's our girlfriend.' At that moment it got a bit chillier in the house making me shiver just a bit from the sudden drop despite being immune to the cold.

"Isaac."

Shit.

Death.

Death had always respected the whole letting me live my own life. 'He rarely really intervenes with much, which I have to admit is very polite of him. . . for the angle of death--- god of death. Or whatever he is.'

The most he came for was telling me information that the three fates wouldn't allow him to tell. Of course he also visited when I was learned to keep my power under control and limit the dead crows appearing outside my window, and he taught me that.

And I began to wonder exactly what was going on for him to be here. Was someone going to die and he warning me about it. 'Just as things get good, he shows up the bearer of bad news.' I looked at Death once more.

Out of all the demons Death had glamor down perfectly. He appeared as a man in his twenties. Long black hair with black eyes, like mine--- minus the silver ring. And for the first time the whole skull theme typically on his face wasn't there. . .  much, there was black outlines of it.

When he dropped his glamor bit by bit it changed. He would begin decaying. Flesh peeling off slowly and slowly until he was at his original form a skeleton. It was a sight I wouldn't recommend seeing. 'But the amount of times we've seen it, we've pretty much gotten use to it at this point.'

Of course he didn't have the robes on. Scythe? Check. On a long piece of carved ebony wood and a sharp blade so sharp that running your finger across it would cut you. Of course he could bend it down to a smaller size if he wanted to.

Death wasn't exactly one for getting with the new times. 'It's just not his style and we've come into acceptance with this a long time ago.' Death watched me silently as I took in his appearance like I typically did, he sometimes occasionally changed it up.

Today he wore a pair of black skinny jeans, leather boots and a hoodie that was over his head as he stared at me. I shifted a bit. "So. . . what brings you here?" I asked. Death looked out the window and then back at me and I watched him carefully.

"I here you have a girlfriend." Death said. "Words travels fast." I murmured. 'Seems to, and we just got with her no less.' "I know what you think." Death reminded and I bit my lip while watching him as Death ran a hand through his black hair as he looked back over at me.

"Lore is her name." Death said I nodded at that. "Heart disease, in and out of the hospital, she's on the reaping list between this month and next month." Death said calmly and how he remained that calm I had no idea because honestly my world just crashed down.

'Is this a joke?' 'We all know Death isn't one for humor, and his is typically dry with a smirk, and there is not a single trace of a smirk or sadistic smile on his face.' There was nothing on his face. No emotion as he blocked out are bond at that moment.

The reaping list.

A list for the people who were going to die and the reapers or Death to reap and bring to hell or heaven. And in severe cases have Satan sick his hellhounds in or have his hellhounds accompany the reapers. . . occasionally of course, it depended on his mood.

'And Lore is on the reaping list for the next two months, meaning she is going to die.' There was no words to describe my emotions. Death stared off in no direction, just off waiting for my reaction as I balled my fists up in anger at the thought of it.

"She's supposed to die in her sleep, her heart giving out. The disease getting to it, a pretty painless death." Death said as I grinded my teeth as Death looked at me. "But you supernatural, you tend to like to mess with the reaping list, a reason it changes so much." Death said.

'That tends to be true, the reaping list never stays the same, more or added or taken off.' So many things ran through my mind. "And I know you won't turn her to a vampire, but I am interested on what you are going to do." Death said looking at me.

"Her name wavers on the list, it blurs, disappears, and then comes back, it's half written meaning it could be avoided. How? Not by any doctors mean, although I'm sure you can connect it similar to the whole lung cancer mate and her surviving." Death said.

"You want me to have Enyr or Ryne bite her?" I asked. "No, I doubt you'll do that, but there is other ways." Death said. 'There is other ways, as of right now I am going through every single one as of right now.' I watched Death as he smiled a bit at me.

"Why did you tell me this?" I asked. "I'm in your mind, you've been so thrilled lately, and I have to admit that improves my mood. You being depressed and full of anger is going to reflect on my mood, and hell doesn't want that." Death said.

'I don't think anywhere wants that personally.' I nodded at that. "I hear werewolf marks tend to heal a mate, I'm sure that would work-" I cut Death off. "Of course it would, now I have to really get close to her and break it into her so I can mark her." I said.

"To a degree, your mark can't cure diseases completely. It'll simply push her heart disease off, or not allow it to kill her, but still have the symptoms." Death said. 'At this point anything will work and I'm willing to take that at this point to keep Lore around.'

"I can do that." I said. "You didn't let me finish, you aren't a typical werewolf, your my vessel after all you have the power of death." Death said. "You want me to kill her?" I asked. 'I am just as confused as you are as well, so don't worry about that.'

"No, death is the power of life, it's connected. Give her something important with that mark and I'm sure it'll get her off of that reapers list for good." Death said getting up and I watched him. Important? Like a gift? Now I was very confused on what to do.

"Her reaping periods start between two to three weeks and the next month, so you have that time, that is the longest time I can hold it off for." Death said. 'Well least he is on our side, times like this is where I appreciate you being the vessel of Death.' I nodded at that.

"Thank you Death." I said and he smiled at me, a true one with no hidden intentions. "You know you werewolves always finding a way, I'm sure you'll find a way." Death said. I smiled as he left.

Now to figure out that way.
