Christmas Eve...

It was a nice warming moment. I helped Levi with his clothes because he was going to leave tomorrow morning to go visit his 'stupid' family as he says.

I was trying to hide my pain that I was feeling. I picked option two... Because the pain... It hurts. Oh it hurts so badly...

I want it to stop.. I just want to be normal. I don't want to die.. I'm not scared at all... I made a friend... Someone I cherish now and now I'm leaving... Why didn't I find you sooner Levi?

I zipped his bag up and smiled at him. "I'll be gone for two days, I'll leave money for you okay?" He said calmly.

"Okay..." I said quietly. "Hey Levi."

"Yeah?"

"Are you afraid of death?" I asked out of the bloom.

He stared at me before standing up and moving his bags to the side. "No. You'll never know when it's coming unless you got a time from your doctors." He shrugged. "I could never be afraid. I don't know how to be afraid of anything."

That made me wonder... "Would you be afraid if I died?"

"What." He raised an eyebrow. "Where's this coming from."

"I'm just asking."

"I mean... We've been friends for awhile. I think I wouldn't be afriad I would just be sad." He mumbled slightly.

I frowned. "Then I'm sorry."

"Your sorry?" He raised an eyebrow. "For what?"

"I'm just sorry..." I said before coughing slightly. Oh dammit.

I coughed repeatedly and dropped to my knees. "Eren?" He went over to me and tried to help me up.

"L-Levi..." I mumbled.

He got on his knees and I kept coughing. "What's wrong?" He asked as he grabbed my hair slightly.

He slowly stopped ready to see the blood on my hands. I looked at it before showing him.

He stared at me and his eyes slightly widened.

"W-What does this mean Eren?" He stuttered for the first time.

"This means..." I cough again and look away. "I'm sick."

It was quiet after that the only thing you heard was my coughing. He dropped his hand down. "Oh." He looked down. "Is that why he said you went to the doctors to visit your auntie? I knew it was a lie. I knew it." He placed his hands on the floor.

I slowly turned to him and nodded.

"What is it..." He asked and I understood.

"Lung cancer... From the f-"

"Fire..." He finished for me. We both told eachothers our back stories but Levi left out his family parts. I told him everything.

"H-How much time do you have left?"

I looked away. "I don't want to talk about it."

"You seem down." He spoke. He wasn't trying to state the obvious, he was trying to figure out how much time I have left. Levi was too smart for his own good. "Tomorrow..."

I stared at him. He stared back at me and I saw tears in his eyes. Oh no please don't cry... No no... It's gonna make me cry.

He moved closer to me and wiped my lips off before smashing his lips against mines.

My eyes widened before I went back to normal. So he does like me back? I kissed him back trying to hold in the coughs that were tickling my throat. Don't cough. Not yet. Don't ruin the moment..

No no please not yet.

I kept my cough in and we both quickend the kiss before I pulled back. I coughed repeatedly and he rubbed my back.

It was silent for the rest of the day. Levi and I hugged in the same spot all day. "Are you still gonna go?" I asked hoping he wouldn't say no.

"Fuck no." He mumbled. "I can't and I won't."

"You have to." I said as I lifted my head up from his chest. "Please. For me Levi. Be with your family for me."

He stared at me. "But I don't fucking want to." He spat.

The pain in my chest tighten. My doctor was right. The pain was unbearable.

"If you don't go then I'll haunt you."

He stared at me and a small smile formed on his lips. I smiled widely at him just try to lighten up the mood.

"I didn't have nobody before you came along. You were an annoying piece of shit but then you made me smile and laugh sometimes. I don't have nobody left again."

"You have family." I said quietly.

"But they aren't you..." He mumbled. "I think I liked you from the beginning Eren... Just watching you walk around with so much light in your eyes even after I was being rude to you... It made me light up slightly in my heart..."

I stared at him before kissing him. We kissed for awhile. I didn't want to have sex with him, I just wanted to kiss and cuddle him for my final hours left.

It was already 12 o'clock. "Happy Birthday Levi."

"Thank you..." He said quietly.

We laid in his bed and cuddled slightly. He then fell asleep leaving me to deal with the pain.

It was early morning when I got up. I wrapped Levi's gift up and put it in his arms to cuddle. I smiled at the sight before putting on comfortable clothes. I put my shoes on and wrote down a note. "Goodbye Levi."

With that, I walked out of the house shutting it before walking off.
