As soon as arjun returned his confusion increased. Jai was shedding silent tears while maan was standing shocked with some files and papers in his hand. There was some luggage as well. A man whom Arjun has seen at jaisingh mansion many times was talking to maan.

Man "sir ne aapke liye gaadi bhi bheji hai aur kaha hai ki aap log jald se jald  panchgani ke liye nikal jaaye. Unhone aap dono ki sari admission formalities complete kar di hai. Aap dono kal se hi college attend kar payenge."

Arjun's confusion was increasing with each passing second. "Kya ho raha hai yahan?"

Maan "kuch nahi bhai, bas Mr. Jaisingh ne finally apna decision le liya hai." He said in an angry manner while he shut his eyes to fight off the tears that were threatening to spill down from his eyes any second.

Jai "aap bhaiya se baat karo bhaiyu, he must be upset about something. May be wo mere behavior se gussa ho gaye hai. Call him I'll tell him what happened."

Maan looked at him "go and change your clothes abhijai, we don't have much time, we should leave as soon as possible. Kal se hamari...........

Arjun turned maan towards himself " Leave matlab? Dimag theek hai tera mannu? Kahan jana hai tujhe? Aur maa se poocha tune? Jeet se baat ki jo jane ke liye taiyaar ho gaya."

Jai "haan bhaiyu aap badi maa ko bolo, wo bhaiya ko samjhayengi. Bhaiya ko call karo I'll apologize to him for ............

Maan glared at jai " I asked you to change your clothes abhijai." He said sternly.

Jai took a set of clothes and went to the washroom.

Arjun "mannu there must be some misunderstanding. Jai theek keh raha hai, jeet ko call karke baat karte hai usse."

Maan "misunderstanding hai nahi bhai, misunderstanding thi, ab clear ho gayi hai. He told us he will act civil with us till we live here but he never said that we will stay here forever. Wo kuch galat nahi kar rahe. He stayed true to his words."

Arjun "matlab tum dono sach me chale jaoge, bina kisi se baat kiye, bina kisi se mile."

Maan "badi maa se abhi hi mile hai aur Mr. Jaisingh ko agar milna hota to wo khud ye papers dene aa jate."

By then even jai came out and once again tried to change maan's mind "bhai sahi keh rahe hai bhaiyu, hume atleast ek baar to bhaiya se milna chahiye na. Atleast unhe bata to do jo bhi hua. I am sure agar unhe sab bata denge to...............

Maan " Shut up jai. Not another word from you. Hum yahan se jaa rahe hai aur abhi jaa rahe. If you decide otherwise then i'll leave alone." with that he picked a bag and started going out.

Jai didn't wanted to leave like that but he couldn't let maan go like that either so he picked the  other bag and started going behind him. Arjun and nivedita tried to talk to maan out of it but all their words fell on deaf ears. Both maan and jai sat in the car and the driver drove them towards panchgani.

Nivedita "ye sab ho kya raha hai, I thought in teeno ke beech sab sahi ho gaya hai. Fir jeet aisa kaise kar sakta hai. Sending them off like that, that too without talking to them and jai has still not recovered properly."

Arjun "ye to ab jeet hi batayega." He said angrily and hasted towards his car and zoomed off from there.

Arjun reached their office as soon as he could. He straight walked in to jeet's cabin to find him looking lost. Arjun stood in front of him and yelled at jeet.

Arjun "ab to khush hai na tu? Finally you had your revenge from both of them. Finally tune door kar hi diya na tune un dono ko."

Jeet looked at him in confusion. Arjun was yelling at him but he couldn't care less. He was too broken to care. Arjun walked near him and made him stand by pulling him from his lapels.

Arjun "how could you do this jeet? Aur ye hi karna tha to un bachcho ko apne kareeb kyun aane diya tune? Jab unhe yahan rehne hi nahi dena tha to kyun unke saath rishta banaya jeet? Kyun? Kyun kiya tune aisa? Arre unhe door hi karna tha to doori bana kar rakhta na."

Jeet wasn't able to understand what Arjun was saying, why was he so angry "kya bol raha hai tu? Kisse door kar diya? Kis se doori banani thi mujhe?" He asked confused.

A lighting struck Arjun as soon as jeet said that. He couldn't believe that old witch could be this devious. "Maan aur jai ko panchgani tune nahi bheja?"

Jeet "panchgani? Main kyun unhe kahin bhejunga? Aur wo panchgani kaise jaa sakte hai, jai is still hospitalized Arjun, wo abhi tak ghar bhi nahi aaya wahan se, pachgani kya karne jayenge wo dono? Have you lost your mind or what."

Arjun sighed in relief. His friend was really clueless about what has happened but that's better than what has been portrayed to them just some time back. They can get the boys back. He calmed himself down and told jeet whatever happened at the hospital.

Jeet was confused and irritated "ye kya bakwaas kar raha hai tu? Maine kisi ko nahi beja unke samaan ke saath, kiske saath chale gaye wo dono, I think kisi ne unhe kidnap kar liya hai." He said with his irritation turning in to fear.

Arjun "they haven't gotten kidnapped jeet. I have seen that driver many times. Security bhi thi unke saath. But mrs shekhawat has played a very bad trick on all of you."

Jeet " What? What does nani has to do with all this? Pehle mannu unhe bina baat ke blame kar raha tha ab Tu. What's going on with you both?" He said hasting out of his office to the parking area.

Arjun "wo sab main tujhe raaste me batata hu, par usse pehle we should go and get both of them back."

Jeet "maanu ko call kar." He said as soon as they got in to the car

Arjun dialled his number and put the call on speaker "the number you have dialled  is currently switched off."

Jeet groaned in frustration, why can't this boy charge his phone for once. He increased the speed without giving a damn about traffic rules and speed limits. At that point nothing mattered to jeet accept getting his brothers back. Within first 10 minutes Arjun lost the count of traffic signals that they jumped. Jeet's frantic driving was scaring arjun.

Arjun "jeet thoda dheere chala, even if we don't catch them midway, we do know where they are going."

Jeet "bakwaas band kar Arjun and just tell me what trick you were talking about?" He asked in a tone which scared Arjun more than the speed of the car.

Arjun started talking "wo actually mrs shekhawat ne............ He was only able to say that when jeet made a very sharp turn, makin Arjun scared for his life. Arjun double checked his seat belt and closed his eyes and started praying " Hey bhagwan ji is pagal ko jaldi iske bhaiyo se mila do, nahi to inka bharat milap ho na ho mera aur aapka milna aaj tay hai."

Jeet glared at him "bakwaas band kar Arjun jo pooch raha hu wo bata."

Arjun who was still sitting with his eyes closed, opened his eyes and looked at jeet "main jor se bola kya?"

Jeet "stop irritating me Arjun and start talking"

Arjun "dekh jeet jis speed par tu gaadi chala raha hai na there is a good chance of us waiting for them in panchgani rather than catching them on its way. Please bhai speed thodi kam kar le. Dekh maine abhi apni choti si jindagi me kuch kiya bhi nahin hai. Tere paas atleast tanu hai, meri to ab tak koi setting bhi nahi hui hai. Pls jeet speed kam kar le, pls."

Jeet reduced the speed a little and asked "ab theek hai? Ya kisi bail gaadi me lift le le." He said with sarcasm dripping from his each word.

Arjun "I would actually prefer a bail gaadi right now."

Jeet yelled at him "ARJUN"

Arjun "Arre bol raha hu." With that Arjun told him everything, how mrs shekhawat manipulated jai in to believing that he is jinxed and he would harm him, gayatri and maan if he stays with anyone of them. He even told him that jai was convinced with all this and the only thing stopped him from running away was his fear of leaving maan. He also told him about the whole hospital fiasco about the staff member coming and telling the boys that jeet has send the forms and their luggage with a car to escort them to panchgani.

With every word jeet was growing angrier. He was angry at his nani for playing such a cruel game with them, he was angry at himself for not trusting his brother enough, he was angry at maan for being so stuck up that he decided to leave without even talking to him or gayatri, he was even angry at jai, the idiot can't stop himself from talking at the wrong time but kept his mouth shut when so much happened with him.

Jeet was fuming thinking all this when he saw the car which was taking jai and maan to panchgani. He once again increased the speed, over took that car and stopped his car in front of the other one. The driver hit the break making both maan and jai jolt inside the car. As soon as they sat back they looked at the car in front and recognized it. Jai at once came out to meet jeet. He was sure that his bhaiya has come to take them back home. But as soon as he looked at jeet's face he stopped in his track.

Jeet was looking furious. He was looking like one of those superhumans from the comic books who burn everyone to ashes in seconds just by sending laser beams from their eyes. As soon as jeet was about to reach near him jai ran making jeet chase him. Both were running around the car in circles in middle of a secluded road.

Jai "bhaiya dekho i am really sorry, maine kal wo sab jaan kar nahi kiya." He said still running.

Jeet "ruk tu, tera jaan anjaan sab kuch nikalta hu main abhi. "

Jai "bhaiya pls samjho na, sachchi meri koi galti nahi hai." He said hiding behind Arjun who was looking at them in amusement till now. Jeet also came there within seconds.

Jeet "Arjun hatt tu nahi to sara gussa aaj tujh par nikal jayega."

Arjun tried to move but jai was not letting him "jai beta, pls chhod mujhe."

Jai "nahi bhai, main nahi chhodunga, nahi to sher aaj sach me khaa jayega mujhe"

Arjun "Abey chhod, beech sadak par thappad khata achcha nahi lagunga main."

Jai "haan to beech sadak par thappad khaa kar mujhe bhi kaunsa miss world ka crown mil jayega. Main nahi hatunga."

Arjun "dekh jeet main try kar raha hu, ye jai khud hi nahi hatt raha. Pls bhai mujhe mat mariyo." He pleaded to jeet.

Jeet "aage aa jai nahi to.............

Just then maan's voice came " Jai gaadi me baith"

Jeet glared at maan who glared back at jeet. Both were enraged, both were hurt and both weren't ready to back down. Jai and Arjun gave each other nervous looks.

Maan "suna nahi tune jai, gaadi me baith." He said still glaring at jeet

Jeet "Arjun jai ke saath meri gaadi me ghar jaa and take this driver with you as well." He said without taking his eyes off from maan.

Maan "jai mere bina kahin nahi jayega."

Jeet "abhijai Arjun ke saath meri gaadi me baith."

Maan "Abhijai yahan aa"

Jai gulped "dekho pls aap log decide karke bata do mujhe kya karna hai, ye do do instructions kaafi confusing hai mere liye."

Jeet/maan "Abhijai Jaisingh do as you are told" Both yelled together.

Jai gulped "told by whom?" He asked meekly

Jeet's glared hardened at maan "Tu usse meri baat manne se mana kar raha hai?"

Maan "nahi, main bas aapke order follow karne ki koshish kar raha hu. You want us to leave, we are leaving. Now please let us do that in peace."

Jeet walked to him "maine kab kaha tum dono ko jaane ke liye?"

Maan "dekhiye Mr. Jaisingh hume aapke.................

Before he could finish what he was saying Maan's face jerked to the side as jeet placed a tight slap on his cheek.

Jeet " Mr. Jaisingh nahi Bhaiya. Pehli aur aakhri baar ye galti sirf ek thappad maar kar sudhaar raha hu, agli baar teri khaal kheech lunga. Samjha?" He asked angrily

Maan's eyes filled up as he nodded  silently.

Jeet looked at Arjun "tum dono gaye nahi ab tak?"

Both Arjun and jai gulped and sat in jeet's car along with the driver and drove off towards Jaisingh mansion.

Jeet looked at maan who still had his cheek covered with his palm and had tearful eyes. "Gaadi me baith abhimaan."

Maan didn't move nor did he say anything. Jeet removed his hand from his cheek to check maan's bruised cheek. He caressed his own fingermarks with his thumb and made maan look up at him "gaadi me baith beta."

Maan nodded once again and sat inside the car. Jeet took the driver's seat and both drove off.

On the other hand gayatri went straight to jaisingh mansion. Where dutta met her and make her talk to a maid, who told gayatri all about jai's discussions with kamini over the past one week. Gayatri who was angry till now fumed listening to everything.

She marched straight in to her mother's room. Mrs. Shekhawat looked at her and knew that something was wrong.

Kamini "gayu, sab theek hai na beta?" She asked looking at gayatri innocently

Gayatri "kyun kiya aapne aisa maa?"

Kamini "kya kiya maine?"

Gayatri "kya kiya? Aap aisa pooch bhi kaise sakti hai. Jai ko kya kya nahi kaha aapne? Us bachche ke saath...........

Kamini " Wo hi hua jo hona chahiye. Maine usse jo bhi kaha sab sach tha."

Gayatri couldn't believe her ears, is her mother really defending herself so guiltlessly. "Sach tha maa? Aapne uss bachche ko ye maanne par majboor kar diya ki Abhimanyu aur Archana ki maut ka jimmedaar wo hai, ki wo jiske bhi saath rahega uski jaan jaa sakti hai. Aapko jara bhi ehsaas hai us bachche par kya beeti hai ye sab soch kar. Jeet ko usne apne paas tak nahi aane diya, usse panick attacks huye maa. Itna darr gaya tha wo ki sabko chhod kar door jana chahta tha."

Kamini "par gaya nahi na? Tu samjh kyun nahi rahi hai gayatri, kuch nahi hua usse. Wo dono ladke archana ki aulaad hai. Wo archana jisse tune khud maa ban kar paala aur usne palak jhapakte hi teri shadi shuda jindagi me jehar ghol diya. Aur to aur marte marte bhi usne tera ghar tod diya. Agar wo na hoti to Tu aur abhimanyu kabhi alag hi na hote."

Gayatri "main aur abhimanyu, archana ki wajah se nahi abhimanyu ki wajah se alag huye maa. Abhimanyu kabhi khush rehne wale logon me se the hi nahi. Jab wo ghar me the to unhe bahar padhna tha, jab mujhse shadi hui to unhe archana chahiye thi, jab jeet saath tha to unhe hamesha maan aur jai ke door rehne ka afsoos tha aur koi aur samjhe na samjhe par main mannu ki aankho me wo khalipan dekh sakti hu jo abhimanyu ne hi uski jindagi me bhara hai."

Kamini "bas teri inhi baaton ne abhimanyu ko tujhse door kiya. Jab wo tujhe mumbai le aane ko taiyar tha to Tu uske maa-baap ko sambhalne ruk gayi, jab pata chala ki wo archana ke saath hai, wo abhimaan unka beta hai tab tune khud usse archana se rishta rakhne ki izaazat di. Aur jab us archana ke marne ke baad abhimanyu hamesha ke liye tere paas aana chahta tha to tune mana kar diya."

Gayatri "aapne mujhe kabhi samjha hi nahi maa, mere faislo me aapne hamesha meri khushi ki jagah apni marji dekhni chahi hai. Haan main ruki abhimanyu ke maa baap ke saath kyunki mere alawa unka koi nahi tha, haan maine abhimanyu ko izazat di archana se milne ki kyunki un dono ki galti me maan aur jai ka koi dosh nahi tha, abhimanyu aur archana ka rishta najayaz tha maa unke bachche nahi. Jab abhimanyu mere paas hamesha ke liye aana chahte the tab aapko unka maan aur jai ko ghar lana theek lag raha tha kyunki aapki nazro me meri khushi se jyada abhimanyu ka mere saath rehna jaruri tha. Tabhi to jin bachcho ko tab aap chahti thi ki main apna lu unhe aaj ghar se nikaalne ke liye aap itna neeche gir gayi."

Kamini "main neeche gir gayi? Ya tujhe mahaan banne ka ek aur mouka mil gaya. Ye teri mahaan banne ki ichcha ne tujhe kabhi meri baat samjhne hi nahi di."

Gayatri closed her eyes to
