We finally arrived at my old home. I looked up at it. It looked slightly neglected, probably since I was gone my mom completely went down hill. But I would assume things have gotten better since she was able to see me and knows what happened.

I looked over to Ava. "Things have gotten better, right?"

"About what?"

"My Mom."

"Oh, yeah. A lot better actually. She has started acting more like herself."

I hopped up the stairs, getting to the door. I grabbed the handle and pushed. Wouldn't budge, locked.
I raised a fist, knocking on the door.

I looked back behind me, seeing Azalea squatted down in the dirt and pinching a worm in between her fingers, observing it.

"Azalea put that down!" I shouted over to her, making her flinch and quickly but gently set the thing down.
I heard the door knob jiggle, I turned back to face it in time to see it open.

"Skylar?" Mom had a surprised look on her face.

"Hi, Mom." I couldn't say anything more when her eyes rolled in the back of her head and she fell backwards.
"Mom!" I dropped down to her, I grabbed her wrist and tried to check for a pulse.
Ugh! How do you do this?! I could never check pulses right!

"She's fine!" Ava joined me. "Just surprised her is all. Here, let's get her into the house and wait for her to wake up." Ava grabbed one arm and I grabbed the other. We basically just dragged her inside like we just commited a murder, Azalea followed inside slowly and closing the door.

I used all the strength I had to completely pull her onto the couch. "Phew!" I stood back, Ava grabbed her feet and pulled them onto the couch. She placed a pillow under her head and already had some under her feet.

"Well then, Imma go take a shower and get properly dressed.." I looked over to Azalea who was looking at all the pictures on the wall in curiosity. "And.. I'll find her something to wear after her shower. I won't take long, just please watch her." I ran off to my room, throwing open the door. Just as I left it. The bed was a little of a mess, and a few things in the floor. I went straight to my closet and went through all of my clothing until I found the right one. I rushed down to the bathroom to take my shower, also try to be done as soon as possible so Azalea could also take a shower as well.

Third Person P.O.V.

"Sooo.." Ava started, putting her hands together. "Your name is Azalea right?" She asked to possibly strike up a conversation.

"Yes." Was all Azalea said, picking up a picture frame. She poked at the picture. "Are they stuck?"

"Huh? Is what stuck?" Ava stood up, getting behind her.

"The people.."

Ava laughed. "No, that's just a picture."

Azalea looked up at her, waiting for a better explanation.

"It's paper, we use things called cameras to take pictures of people or things and it prints out onto paper so we can keep it. So we will never forget."

"Does it hurt?" She flipped the picture frame around.

"No, you don't feel anything. You just see a flash and it's done." Ava easily took the picture from the black haired girl. "Like this is a picture of Skylar when she was in third grade."

"Third grade?"

Ava paused, she's just gonna keep asking a bunch of questions. ".....When- When Skylar was eight years old. For our education we go to schools. There's kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade and so on. It goes up to twelfth grade. Then you go to college, or you don't, that's when you get a choice."

"But what-"

"Let's just leave it there, you have a lot to learn and I am sure Skylar would love to tell you all about it and answer all of your questions." The ginger told her, heading back over to a seat. "But I understand why you wouldn't know any of this stuff, living in the water all of your life, pictures would not survive in there. What is it like, living in the water?"

"What's it like living on land?" Azalea shot back.

"Touch'e." Ava nodded.

Azalea giggled. "I don't know," She sighed. "You feel free, weightless, but sometimes fearful, depending."

"Depending on what?" the red haired girl asked, seeing intrigued.

"Predators," she looked up. "Humans.."

Ava nodded, understanding. "Have you ever gotten caught by a.. human before or..?"

"No, not really. But I know I've been seen. I haven't told my Father that though, he would flip." She turned away and back to observing all of the nick nacks.

"You have? What happened?"

"It was with Skylar, this.... this.." Azalea clenched her fists but breathed. "Language, Azalea." She spoke to herself. "Hunters were killing dolphins and we tried to save them. We were able to save most of them but in the process, Skylar was yanked up and I had to save her. Luckily though, I don't think they saw the scales, but hopefully we don't run into them again up here because they might remember our faces." Ava couldn't say anything else, this is the same time Skylar walked around the corner.

Skylar's P.O.V.

Come on, Azalea, we need to get you a shower and get you dressed. I can't leave you in Ava's towel forever."

"Okay." She approached me. Ava, with nothing else to do, followed us as well.

"What's the plan after this?"

"Tell Noah that I'm here, and wait for Mom to wake up. Your parents are going out to visit your Mom's Mother right?" I looked over to her, opening the bathroom door with the shower already running.

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

"I managed to get stuck in a bush right outside your house while they were leaving and talking about it. You know, only Skylar can do something that awesome." I gleamed.

Ava smiled. "Which bush you fall in?"

"The one that hurts the most."

"We also have a prickly bush."

I paused, thinking about it. "Okay then, I landed in the one right next to that one. Thank God!"
