The group got out of Wes's car and walked into a store to grab stuff for Tara. They grabbed chocolates, chips, and some drinks for her. Jade stood in the middle of the snack aisle looking at all of the chips that laid on the shelf, she quickly grabbed her phone and clicked on Tara's name. The phone rung for a few seconds before she answered, "Hello?"

"Hey Tara, what kind of snacks do you want?" Jade asked, her hand sliding on the many bags.

"You guys don't have to get me anything, there's vending machines here. I wouldn't want you wasting your money." Tara mumbled.

Jade smiled, "Tara Carpenter you are my best friend, it is no waste of money to get you snacks." she paused before laughing, "Besides you never turn down free food."

Jade could hear Tara let out a quiet chuckled, "That is true." she said, the sound of a doctor coming in pulled her away. "Shoot Jade I have to go, just get me some Pringles. I love you and I'll see you soon."

"Okay, love ya." Jade said, hanging up the phone call and grabbing two different containers of Pringles. "These should do the trick." she quickly glanced down the aisle to see Chad standing by the drinks. Jade quietly snuck up behind him, "What are you doing?!" She exclaimed, grabbing his arm with her free hand.

Chad jumped slightly, "Jesus Jade, why did you do that?"

"Do what? I have no idea what you're talking about." She smiled, turning away from the boy.

"Yes, haha very funny you got me." he stated, following her to the register.

Once they all payed for their stuff the group headed to the hospital. Wes was the first one that got to the nurse's station. "Um.. hi we're looking for Tara Carpenter's room?"

"Relation to the patient?" the nurse asked.

"Ummm. frie-"

"We're her family." Jade cut Wes off, stepping forward to the nurse with a smile.

The nurse looked at the group and then back down at the computer with a sigh, "Room 103."

"Thank youuuu!" Jade exclaimed, walking down the hall and away from the group.

Chad smiled at the girl before he quickly followed her, Amber walking past Wes while Mindy just patted him on the back. "Good try man." Mindy smiled, before walking towards the room.

Wes frowned, staring down at the ground before slowly following.

Jade opened the door and smiled when she saw Tara, "Tara." Jade muttered, running over and hugging the girl. "How you feeling?"

"I feel like I got stabbed... oh wait." Tara joked, pointing at her bandages.

"Tara that's not funny." Amber spoke up, walking up to the side of the bed and putting a hand on her shoulder.

They all sat down and talked for awhile until the door opened and Samantha walked in,  followed by a stranger. The group stood up awkwardly as Sam hurried over to the bed and crouched down to her sister. "How are you felling?" Sam asked.

"You came." Tara muttered, a slight smile on her face.

"Of course I came." Sam smiled, before turning her head to the stranger. "This is my boyfriend Richie."

Richie slowly walked forward, "It's so nice to meet you. I'm so sorry if I'm intruding."

Tara smiled, "Nice to meet you too."

Sam walked over to the teens and hugged them one by one until she got to Wes. "Thank you for calling."

"Of course." Wes muttered.

She pulled away and looked up at his hair, "Look at your hair! I like it."

Wes just laughed as she walked away and looked at the group, "These are Chad and Mindy, the twins. And then Wes and Jade."

"Hi." Jade awkwardly, waved.

"I used to babysit them all." Sam added.

"Which is always how I like to be introduced." Wes smiled.

Amber chuckled causing Sam to look at her, "And Amber... hey."

"Hi, nice to see you." Amber spoke.

Richie looked between Amber and Sam before speaking up, "Hi, I'm Richie."

"Hi." Amber replied.

Jade couldn't help but notice the weird interaction between the two. Amber caught the girls suspicious stare between the two but it was dropped when Sam spoke again. "Where's mom?"

"She's stuck at a conference in London." Tara spoke, looking up at her sister. "She called me earlier."

"Yeah, for all of ten minutes." Amber scoffed, but then she looked at the group. "Uh, look guys Tara's really tired. Maybe we should just give her some space."

"Yeah." everyone muttered, grabbing their stuff.

"Not you Sam." Tara said, getting the attention of her sister. "I want you to stay."

"Okay." Sam smiled, walking up to her sister.

Chad awkwardly looked at the group, "But the rest."

"Yeah." Everyone replied, walking out.

Once they got to the car everyone quickly got in, "So are we still up for pool tonight?" Chad asked, the group all smiling.

"Hell yeah, I'm ready to kick all of your ass's." Jade exclaimed, smiling down at her phone.

----------------------------------------------------------------

The group stood by the pool tables in the bar, all of them taking turns. Jade stared at Liv with a smile, "So where did you end up going?" she whispered.

"Hmm?" Liv asked, kind of nervous.

"When we all went to the hospital... you said you couldn't. I just wanted to know where you went? I mean, you don't have to tell me." Jade said, watching as Chad put another ball down a hole making Wes frown.

Liv coughed, turning to the group. "So what is she like, the sister?"

Jade frowned, realizing she was hiding something.

"Sam? Oh, Sam is so cool." Chad smiled.

"Yeah, you only say that because she let you wear Pokemon onesies to bed for a year." Mindy spoke up, exposing her brother.

"That's true! That's a true statement... but if I remember correctly she also let Jade wear a-."

"Don't. You. Dare." Jade interrupted him, glaring daggers at him.

"Wait, what did you wear?" Liv asked, staring at the girl.

"It was just a phase.... I will never do that again." Jade cringed, her whole body shaking in embarrassment.

"Jade wore a tiara to bed for a year." Mindy spat out.

"MINDY!" Jade exclaimed.

"Hey you said Chad couldn't say it, not me." Mindy smiled, giving her friend a side hug.

"I prefer my queen days anyway, I remember when I used to ask Chad to carry me around... and he actually did it." Jade smiled, looking up at the boy who was already looking at her.

Amber gagged before turning to Liv, "Going back to Sam, trust me she is not cool. Her dad left her mom right?  Walks right out when Tara's eight, Sam's thirteen.  Then Sam started acting out, getting in trouble with the cops. And then! On Sam's eighteenth birthday, she leaves.... ghosts them all. I mean maybe Sam's changed, I just don't want to see Tara hurt again."

Wes steps forward, "So what, you're protecting Tara from her own sister now?"

Amber smiled, "Well, someone has to."

"Okay.. so no guys are good enough for her, and now her family's off limits too?"

"Mmm, motive. 'If I can't have her, no one can." Mindy spoke up.

"What?" Wes asked, staring at her confused.

"We know you have a crush on Tara." She continued.

"Come on, Mindy. If he had a crush on Tara, why would he try to kill her?" Jade asked.

"Thank you." Wes replied, glad someone was defending him.

"But we're all suspects." Mindy stated, staring around at the group. "Except maybe Liv."

"Thank you." Liv smiled.

"You're way too boring to be a psycho." Mindy added, smiling at her friend.

"Yo, Liv.. Jade. You want a real drink?  Or are you two happy sitting at this kids table?" Vince spoke up, making the two girls glare at him.

Chad took a drink and then walked up to Vince, "Okay listen up uglier Michael Myers, it was a summer fling alright? It meant nothing."

"Was I talking to you?" Vince asked, a smile still on his face.

"I don't fucking care who you're talking to!" Chad exclaimed, his voice filled with rage.

"Well if you care about Liv then maybe I'll try someone new. Jade, let's go." Vince started, but he was stopped.

"Don't you fucking talk to her!" Chad yelled, putting himself between the girls and Vince. "I don't want to hear your voice."

Vince pulled out a pocket knife. "You better shut the fuck up."

"Chad just drop it!" Jade exclaimed, trying to pull him back.

"Hey!" the bartender yelled, "Get out of here or I'm calling the cops."

Vince tried to intimidate Chad by steeping towards him but Chad didn't move. "Go." Chad stated, pointing to the door.

"I'll see you soon sweetheart." Vince smiled, pointing at Jade.

"Hey man, fuck you." Chad said, grabbing Jade and gently pulling her back.

"You kids too! Let's go." The bartender yelled.

"You okay guys?" Wes asked the two girls.

Liv smiled, "Yeah I'm good, Jade?"

Jade just nodded, grabbing her coat and walking towards the door.
