The black hole reopened on Rainbow Road and released Rosalina (and Luma), Kirby, Jigglypuff, and Pikachu from it.

"Where are we?" asked Rosalina.

"On Rainbow Road, of course," said Jigglypuff.

"You can talk?" asked Rosalina.

"Of course I can!" said Jigglypuff. "I'm just forced to say 'jigglypuff' over and over again in battle."

"Same here!" said Pikachu.

"Me too!" said Kirby. "I also have to make weird vacuum noises so that I can promote the company I was named after. I'd rather not do that, since it hurts my throat. But swallowing fighters is fun!"

"I can't believe they added vore in this game," said Rosalina. "And it's still only rated E-10+! Both you and Yoshi will eat other players. Yoshi even turns them into eggs!"

"Nobody cares about that," said Jigglypuff. "Egg Lay is one of Yoshi's signature moves, and Inhale is one of yours, Kirby! Both of their games are rated E!"

"Yeah, she's right," said Pikachu.

"Wait, can Luma talk too?" asked Kirby.

"Of course I can!" said Luma. "Rosalina is just always controlling me so I don't have time to talk!"

"Well, I try not to control you all the time," said Rosalina.

"We're connected!" said Luma. "You can't not control me!"

"I'm personally connected to you and the other lumas," said Rosalina, "so I don't have to control you, I just do so we can fight in sync."

"I have 50 HP!" shouted Luma.

"I have infinite HP!" yelled Pikachu.

"No you don't, Pikachu," said Jigglypuff. "It depends on what match you're in."

"Well, in non-stamina battles I technically have infinite HP," said Pikachu.

"Ehh... I guess so," said Jigglypuff.

"Hey, stop arguing," said Rosalina. "Are we stuck here forever?"

"Well, it depends on if Palutena will open the black hole again and suck us back in," said Jigglypuff.

"Hey, on the plus side, we can race with these karts!" said Kirby.

"Aren't there Shy Guys in those karts?" asked Luma.

"Yeah, but now we can go anywhere in the blast lines, so we can defeat them!" said Rosalina.

"Pikachu! Let me inhale you!" said Kirby. "Let's defeat these Shy Guys together!"

"Yeah!" said Pikachu.

"Are they... friends already?" Rosalina asked Jigglypuff.

"They've fought on the same team before," said Jigglypuff. "Kirby is like a max repel to me, though. Why must there be two pink puffballs in SSB4?"

"Well, you two are different from each other," said Luma.

"Yes, I can see that clearly," said Jigglypuff, "but why did they choose me? Why not a lightweight Pokémon that has wings? Butterfree would work, wouldn't it?"

"Well, you kind of... have more fame in Pokémon, I guess," said Rosalina. "Don't you have a reputation for being... kind of annoying?"

"What, with Sing?" asked Jigglypuff. "Sure, my song is well-known, but they make it stupid in the anime!"

"I agree, I like your Smash version better," said Rosalina.

"Wait, you guys watch Pokémon?" asked Jigglypuff.

"Yeah, we've found time to watch some anime," said Luma. "We mainly watch what Rosalina picks, but I get to pick sometimes. Not that I have a preference, or anything."

"We have a TV at the Comet Observatory," said Rosalina.

"Yeah, we have Netflix and high-speed internet too!" said Luma.

"Wait, what?" asked Jigglypuff, confused. "That was never mentioned in the Mario games!"

"Well, the Pokémon games never said that you had a Wii!" said Rosalina.

"I guess you're right," said Jigglypuff.
