"W-Woah. This place is a whole big universe altogether-- There's a lot of Sans' that I recognize here..." His sight slowly lingered to a group of names, making Error widen his eyes before snickering.
"Heh. So this place has t-their own groups huh." He murmured as his eyes moves to another name.
"I-Ink... b-bastard..." He muttered before taking a deep breathe. He decides to scroll down a bit before seeing his own name on the list.
... Just with the words 'DEAD' right under it...
"So I've already died here huh..." He sighed.
But then Error noticed that the timeline didn't have a name, so he decided to name it himself.
HunterVerse. Named after the guy he first met here.
This universe, consisted of Divisions. Where in each Division serve a company, or a government. Could be both too really. And that each one has its specialty and its specifics.
He flicked his finger right "I wonder how this timeline was hidden from my view... W-What the... Wh-Where are the r-rest of the timelines?!" He saw nothing on the list that consisted of mostly every AU that existed out there.
His finger stopped, Error now realizing the situation that he was in "M-Maybe I really am stuck here..." He murmured making his UI disappear and tried to make a small portal that he knew would go directly to UnderSwap.
All that showed was darkness. Error tried to place his arm forward but only felt a wall.
Error sighed, standing up from the bed. His wounds not creating any pain unlike yesterday.
Error took his now clean and stitched up jacket from the side of the bed and walked towards the door, hearing a bit of chatter on the other side.
"Look, I'll see what I can do by the end of the week. I know, I know, a month overdue but what do you expect? I'm trying to get by as it is. Right, out." Hunter places his phone to the side of his desk, slouching back on his seat.
Error raised an eyebrow, going back inside of the room.
He opened his UI again, now investigating Hunter's background. That looked like a big novel.
"So, he was an orphan who decided to train and work as one of the units from the Northern division. Huh. Divisions... Oh, Northern is one of the lowest ranks of them all. And that Hunter has a bit of a money issue from how much stuff he decided to do. No wonder too, that place barely even pays their officers more than their units." Error mumbled and took something out of his inventory.
After a moment, Error walked out of the room with a small pouch. Hunter seemed to be writing something on a few pieces of paper. Must be work.
While doing so, Error took a quick look around the place. The furniture all was wood, some were a bit chipped and that the walls were all Quartz. The floor was wood with a great shade too, implying that it's one of the best type out there.
"H-Hey Hunter..." Error spoke up, Hunter jumping a bit and turned around "Error! Wow, I'm surprised your up. Did the medicine work? They are meant for skeletons. I also have food ready on the table if you want to eat." He smiled with a faint green blush.
That was, until Error held the small pouch up "H-Here." He said giving it to him, Hunter eyed the pouch confused "What's this?" He takes it, Error shrugged "I've had this for awhile. Maybe you should open it to find out." He added motioning him to do as said.
Hunter shrugged and took a look inside.
He took a gold coin out from the stash that was inside and widened his eyes "What... Gold coins? These look like those old Ebott coins-- Are you saying..."
"Yes, these a-are yours now." Error walks to the table and decides to actually eat something. He hasn't really eaten anything in a few days. Though, Hunter was still in shock.
"Error... A single coin costs so much money, and that these look more like a hundred coins! How did you get these? I'm pretty sure you had nothing on you when I took you in." He said from his seat, Error shrugged "I-I'm pretty sure you don't need to k-know that. I overheard y-you having some sort of money problem, so y-yeah."
Hunter blinked. He took a coin and tried to give the pouch back to him "Error, one coin alone is too much--" Error scoffed, shoving it back to him "S-Said the one who didn't need to h-help me. Having h-help from you already was too much. This is all y-yours. Take it." He finished, now eating the well made egg and bacon that was there.
A Phone rang, both perking up hearing it. Hunter ran to it and answered it.
"What do you mean they are coming to do the performance check this week?! I'll be right there!" He frantically says and pressed a button on the phone.
Hunter looked at Error slowly with a embarrassed smile "I uh... Have to go to work... They're saying a bunch of higher ups from another place is coming to mine... So I need to go and be present." He places the pouch on the table, leaving it there while he went to go get his bag.
Error had a random thought and shrugged it off, glancing at Hunter "A-Are you going to b-be back?" He asked, Hunter wore his gloves and nodded chuckling "Of course I am. Though probably might be back until midnight. I'm taking my leave. Try not to mess up the house too much." He told him before walking out the front door.
"B-Bye..." Error mumbled. All alone once again.
But after maybe half an hour of doing nothing and trying to evaluate the situation that he was in, a phone rang. Making him avert his look from his UI and to the table. He walks over to it and saw that someone was calling.
Error looked around a bit, before hesitatingly taking it and answered it.
"Hey uh... Error? Is this you?" A voice from the other side started, Error now recognizing that it was Hunter. He had a panicked voice "H-Hunter? Is S-Something wrong?" Error responded to hear a sigh of relief "Y-Yeah something is wrong... I left my paperwork on the table. And my phone too which is great-- Can you bring it here? It's really important that I pass those to my superiors." He explained, Error has something to do now.
"Alright. I'll get this to you. Where are you?" Error asked him and Hunter exhaled "I'm at the city's Division headquarters. You know where it is right?" Hunter said as Error walked towards the window. In the distance, there was a tall building in the distance.
"Is it t-that tall b-building in the distance from here?"
"Y-Yes! That's it, and uh... Could you hurry up? I feel like I only have a few minutes until I'm caught... The guard's gonna let you in as long as you show the work and say my name."
BEEP
Error shrugged and folds the paper so that it would fit his jacket's pocket.
The streets seemed a bit busy. But the sidewalk had no one walking around but Error. But there were still gaps in there that could give an old man enough time to cross.
Error realized that he had no idea on how to get to the building. Well, he could just keep walking down the street until he'd reach it but you never know there might be anything on the way there.
Flicking his finger, he created a UI that showed the entire map of the city. He managed to find a quicker and safer route there and took it.
On his way, Error encountered a problem. A human who was trying to attempt something.
"Heeeey, you free? I know somewhere we can be alone~" The man said, his voice all slurred. Error shook his head "D-Disgusting..." He remarked before pushing forward.
This ticked the man off, he rushed towards him and pulled his arm, Error whining a bit from how sudden it was.
"You little bitch! You could have said sure instead!" He takes a pocket knife from his pocket with his free hand and Error raised all his fingers on his other free hand.
Walking away, Error made his hand into a fist. Distant cracking was heard. After that, he places both his hands in his pockets. All calm now.
The building was now infront of him. It looked like a giant factory really. Error saw the open gate and decides to head in.
"Hold. What's your business here?" A security guard with his rifle on hand stopped him from entering. Error blinked before laughing embarrassed "O-Oh sorry, I'm here for a f-friend." He answered and the guard laughed too "You think that I'll just let you in because of that? Sorry, but today is important. It would be a bad thing if a random skeleton just waltzed in right?" The guard told him and Error tilted his skull "B-But my f-friend said that he needs this pa-paperwork to pass to his s-superiors or whatever." Error took the paper out of his jacket and unfolded it. It still looked in great quality.
The guard looked at him "And who is this friend of yours?"
"Hunter." Error answered and the guard blinked before laughing "Oh! It's that guy. No wonder your a skeleton too. If it's him, you better give that to him quickly. Heard that a lot of people are being punished for being 'lazy'. Thank god I have this role here. Head in quickly now." He moves aside. Error thanking him briefly before running in.
"Oh, it's the second floor by the way! Turn right and his office area should be there." The guard yelled and Error thanked him again with a wave of his hand.
DING
Error walks out of the elevator after a few minutes of trying to figure out on how it worked. He turned right and entered a room, where all eyes suddenly turned to him. Making him feel very uncomfortable.
"N-Need to find him..." He mumbled and started to look around, seeing both humans and monsters around. Hunter is a tall skeleton, so it wouldn't be hard to find him right?
On the other side of the room, four skeletons were seen walking around. All four also looking like they were supervising the area. Are those his superiors?
Error shook his head quickly and managed to spot Hunter with a panicked look.
Running to him, Hunter saw Error and sighed in relief "Did you get it?" He asked as Error nodded. Hunter took his stuff from him before looking up and around a bit "Craaap... You need to head out here quickly. Head back to the house and I'll be back in a few hours." He told him and Error nodded turning around.
When he was by the doorway, he started to hear a familiar voice "Huh. An actual skeleton here. That's something." He snorted a bit before coughing "I heard you left your paperwork at your house. You know what that means right."
"N-No sir, I managed to get ahold of it again because of a friend that passed by a few seconds ago." Hunter answered straight, giving his papers.
Error had already stopped moving and was now watching aswell as listening.
"...What the fuck. Blue strings? Nightmare, take a look at this."
Everyone in the room was now looking at Hunter. Who was forced back into his seat by Killer.
"Is something wrong Killer--?" He paused, taking the strand.
"A friend that's passed by a few seconds ago... And these strings look too familiar. Horror, Dust. Search the room. I want the exits here closed." The sounds of guns clicking were heard.
Almost instantly, Error had a surge of emotion go through him. But he knew that these weren't the people he knew.
Error tried to walk out the door but someone was in the way "The fuck are you? Hey! Are you listening to me?! Who are you?" He demanded blocking his way now. His words now grabbing the attention of the group.
"J-Just let me th-through..." Error mumbled. The person who stood there shook his head "Like hell I'll just do that." He took his arm forcibly and was now trying to subdue him. Error managed to raise a finger, raising the person to the ceiling "What the fuck?! Let me down!" He yelled from his spot, Error scowled.
Footsteps were heard behind him that abruptly stopped.
"Error? Is that you?" Horror asked him, making Error turn around slowly.
Nightmare, Killer, Horror and Dust all stood there in shock.
Error still had the option to just go.
"H-H-Hi g-guys..." Error waved his hand nervously.
