"Gate five will be boarding in ten minutes."

"Fuck you, intercom lady," Wyatt growled.

"Language," his mother hissed. Sophia snorted as she followed the mother and son to their gate. The wheels of their luggage clacked against the shining linoleum floors, followed by the thump of Sophia's heavy boot.

"Jamie, I forbid you to get on that damn plane!" A man shouted at his twenty year old daughter.

"I'm an adult dad! I wanna go start a life in Chicago, I'm gonna go! You can't stop me," the girl cried, running from the portly man.

"Mother! I forbid you to get on that damn plane!" Wyatt imitated.

"I'm an adult, Wyatt. We have to get back to our life in California. We're gonna go. You can't stop us," his mother played along, rolling her eyes.

Sophia laughed, sitting in a chair by the gate.

"Last Chance to turn back," Wyatt said, frowning at his mother.

"Not a chance," she responded. Wyatt sighed and plopped into the chair next to Sophia.

They intertwined their hands, rubbing their tired eyes with the free hand. Wyatt plugged his earphones in, tucking one into his left ear, and one into Sophia's right. She frowned dramatically, instantly fearing Wyatt's inferior taste in music.

And then, Big Green Tractor  started invading her brain. She choked on the sip of lemonade she had taken, hacking and cringing. "Stop this shit!" She mouthed, pretending to seize. Wyatt suddenly thought of the time that she hadn't  been pretending. A lump formed in his throat, and he pulled the bud from her ear, frowning.

"What is it?" She asked, sitting up.

"I just... thought of that time when you actually  had a seizure."

"I don't remember that. I just remember that you were there, and then suddenly you weren't and there were a ton of nurses in my room," she shrugged.

"It was awful," he shuddered. "Your eyes... they just kind of widened, and then you started... shaking." He remembered the break down he had afterword. "It was awful, Sophia. It was awful." He repeated it sadly.

She put her nose on his shoulder, looking up at him. He turned to look at her, her brilliant ocean eyes melting his mud-colored ones.

"I'm gonna miss you," he muttered, pushing a short lock of hair out of her eye.

"I know," she smiled, pinching his nose.

"Gate five is now boarding," said the intercom. Wyatt and his mother stood from their chairs.

Wyatt turned to Sophia one last time.

"San Diego Comic con?" He asked, kissing the tip of her freckled nose.

"San Diego Comic con," she smiled, hugging him tightly. "Goodbye."

He squeezed her tiny body and let go, waving goodbye as he boarded the plane. Sophia smiled, turning to leave the airport. Her phone buzzed in her pocket.

Wyatt: I miss you prince :(

She rolled her eyes, responding anyways.

Yeah, I miss you too, bb girl.

Maybe it was pathetic, but she really did.
