Wyatt woke the next morning to the sunlight poking at his eyes. He yawned silently and sat up, looking around. He saw that everyone was still asleep. Except for Sophia.

Sophia was on her phone, reading a book. Wyatt rolled over on the floor to where she was on her sleeping bag.

"Whatcha readin?" He said, causing her to jump.

"A book," she sighed. "You scared me, asshole."

"Sorry not sorry," Wyatt shrugged. "What book is it?"

"Pet Sematary by Stephen King," she mumbled, bookmarking the page and sitting up. She stretched her shoulders and cracked her knuckles causing Jack's unconscious body to twitch. "I want food."

"What kind of food," Wyatt yawned.

"Waffles," Sophia said, standing up and heading to the kitchen. "I'll get the griddle." Wyatt smiled. Sophia loved making waffles almost every sleepover they had. Wyatt went off to the pantry and grabbed the necessary items to make the waffles (Sophia had made him memorize the ingredients and their measurements. "If we're going to be friends, do me a solid and when you're not filming memorize a waffle recipe. I can't be friends with someone who can't cook a waffle. And NO frozen waffles do not count." The first time Wyatt had tried to make them from memory, Sophia gagged on them and refused to even feed them to his dog. "Are you kidding? They'll kill him! They're poisonous, Wyatt! Poisonous!").

Wyatt brought the ingredients over to the kitchen where Sophia was waiting by the griddle for him to mix the batter. He measured out all the ingredients and mixed them together as Sophia sat there looking pensive.

"You ok Soph?" Wyatt asked, putting a dash of vanilla into the pancake batter.

"I'm just sad I guess," Sophia asked. She reached over and grabbed his wrist which was still putting vanilla into the batter. "That's more than enough vanilla thank you."

"Why are you sad?" Wyatt asked, pushing the bowl aside and going to sit next to her on a bar stool.

"My parents are always fighting," she sighed. "They don't even remember that Jake and I are there most of the time. I can't remember the last time my mom even said hello to me. Anyways that's why I was so late. My parents were too busy fighting to give me a ride."

"Have you told them how you feel?"

"No," she sighed. "Never mind it's stupid. It doesn't even matter. But anyways I'm sorry I was acting so clingy last night. I was just happy to be with people who appreciate my presence."

"It's fine Sophia," Wyatt said. He stood from his chair and hugged her. She wrapped her arms around him and patted his back awkwardly.

After two seconds, Sophia pulled away. "Make me some waffles, Wyatt."

"Yes ma'm," Wyatt said sarcastically.
