She stared right at me. I looked at the person sitting next to her. Abby. This was the worst position I would see myself in when I hadn't told Carmen about her. Yet, here we are. Me doing my job, an angry Carmen, and a very confused Ex. I saw Carmen straighten her back and stare right back to the Opera. She wouldn't make a scene now, in front of everyone. Down inside, I was very appreciative of that. The tears in her eyes vanished, almost like she stopped herself automatically. I pressed the buttons on my bored on cue, but I was really observing every action Carmen made.I wanted so bad to run to her and tell her why I didn't tell her about Abby. The truth. That I was scared that she would think I was still in love with Abby and not her. Abby tried to comfort Carmen in the crowd, but Carmen wouldn't talk. She just sat and watched the show.
