Chapter 1

Sunni

"Stooooop baby, let me finish this." I whined.

I was currently trying to finish my study guide for my Chemistry final while Channing was tryna get his freak on. He ignored me and continued to nibble on my neck.

"Channing." I said plainly.

"Damn, boo. All you do is study. Take a break and let me make you feel good." He said so smoothly, I nearly melted.

I put my laptop to the side and straddled his lap.

"I'm...almost...done." I said in between kisses. "Let me finish this last question and I'm all yours."

"You promise?" He asked, looking in my eyes for assurance.

"I promise." I said with a smirk placing a quick peck on his lips

"When you said 'take care of me' I thought you meant Netflix and chill not going out to an actual movie." I sighed as we got out the car in the parking lot of  Del Amo mall.

"Aren't you tired of being cooped up in the house?" He asked me, raising his eyebrow.

"I guess you have a point...but baby I really don't feel like sitting in a movie theater." I pouted.

He let out a frustrated sigh. "Well can we at least go to eat?"

I nodded my head in agreement and he grabbed my hand and walked toward the directions of BJ's. In the middle of walkway Channing stopped walking.

"What's wrong?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Smile for me." He said, pulling me closer to him and resting his arms on my hips.

"Really Channing?" I asked seriously. 

"Give me a genuine smile or we're just gonna stand here." He challenged.

I arched my eyebrow at him and crossed my arms over my chest but he did not back down. I looked away in effort to hide the smirk that was threatening to come forth but I failed miserably. So I gave up and gave him what he wanted....a bright smile.

"I love you , Sunni." He said with a grin before he lifted me off my feet and spun us around.

"I love you too." I said through my giggles after he set me on my feet. 

When I turned around to walk I came face-to-face with a white woman who was looking at us in pure disgust.

"What's the problem? Never seen two people in love before?" Channing said to the lady.

She looked mortified. I guess she wasn't expecting Channing to speak up. I simply laughed and continued my stroll.

"Put are name on the list while I go use the bathroom." Channing instructed me.

"Welcome to BJ's! Table for one?" a young white girl greeted me.

"No, two. My boyfriend is in the bathroom."

"Name please?" She asked.

"Sunni." I told her before I took a seat on a nearby bench.

I watched as a young black guy walked in.

"Yes my girlfriend came ahead of me and put our name on the list." I overheard him say.

"Oh yes. She just got here! Sunni party of two!" She called out my name.

Right as I reached the podium Channing walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

The girl looked as if she had seen a ghost.

"My grandpa said when you assume you make an ass out of "u" and "me"." I said with a smirk as the waiter escorted Channing and I to our table.

Being an interracial relationship is annoying at times....
