The boys looked shocked for a moment before all saying hi. Shadow had a naturally deep voice so it must have been a surprise. They began small talk as they flew, shadow remaining mostly silent as they went. She had been all patched up and was now curled up in the corner, nearly asleep from everything. She was on the border of unconsciousness when someone called her name, to which she looked up at them.

"There was something I've been wondering since we found you."

Shadow cocked her head in confusion, it was cartoonz who spoke.

"How on earth did you cause all those guys to just collapse unconscious?"

Shadow was up straight now, fear drowning in her eyes. The team spoke quickly to try and calm her as shadow pulled it together. She kept her eye fixed to the floor as she began to speak in a horse whisperer.

"I have an invention I made that can do that to people."

The four boys were confused and watched as shadow removed the amplifier from her pocket. She then tentatively explained what the device was and a bit on how it worked. She risked a look up and saw they all had astonishment written on their faces. They looked at each other, seeming to speak with their eyes, before looking back at shadow.

"Do you know your parent's phone number?"

Ohm asked this in his gentle voice and shadow looked to the floor again.

"I don't have a family, I've been along for a few years now, the school kicked me out because of my inventions."

Shadow was crying a bit now, worried they would throw her out too. Shadow flinched as she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Well, we have a question for you."

He tilted her head and she could see it was Bryce now. Shadow continued to cry as she gave a nod to continue.

"We want you to join your force."
