There were many things that crossed the mind of Emily, but Avery's trip to Disneyland had not been one of them. How could she predict that they would be able to get the tickets? The money?

Just that happened. Tickets, money, hotel. All of it.

"Emily!" a voice floated from the other room. Starting, Emily glanced over her shoulder to the door, swung wide open. She glanced guiltily at the empty suitcase on the bed. The voice continued, "You aren't packing are you? Hurry up!" the voice became playful. Avery.

"I am too packing!" clothes began to get shoved hurriedly into the suitcase on the bed. Footsteps. Clothes being shoved faster.

Avery stood at the door, a plain grey shirt with a flower on it, jeans, and a flower in her hair. "That doesn't look like you've been packing for long," she tutted.

"I thought you were my girlfriend, not my mom," Emily retorted grumpily. She'd been day dreamy for a few days since the trip was announced, in a stupor as to how it was possible. They were leaving tomorrow.

"I am," Avery winked, jumping next to her and sliding her arm around Emily's waist, giving her a squeeze. "I'm excited, that's all. Here, I'll help you pack, I've finished with my packing."

"Alright..." Emily's voice trailed off. They'd been dating for 5 years, a pretty long time. They met like Dan and Phil, so to say. Online. Emily knew that sounded dumb, but Dan and Phil hadn't had any problems and had been living together for ages.

They fell into a rhythmic line of folding, packing, and folding the clothes, until everything was packed into the small suitcase. Tossing a sharpie into the bag, Emily glanced around her room. Her room was pastel, filled with light, warm colors, and natural looking furniture. Avery's was similar, but darker colors. The apartment in general was rather cluttered, but the rooms themselves well taken care of. They were roommates at Ohio State University. They'd planned to live together once moving here, and so far it'd been working pretty well.

"Aren't you excited?" Avery questioned, her eyes narrowing. She knew something was up.

"Nothing-" Emily stopped. Avery had asked if she was excited. Not if she was okay. "I mean, y-yeah I'm excited!" The excitement in her voice sounded like a question more than joy.

Avery frowned. "Somethings wrong."

"No, its fine." In truth, she couldn't be more worried. There were too many things that could go wrong on a trip...

"Stop lying." Suddenly, a smile crossed Avery's face, and she began to hum, Why you always ly'in.

"Shut up!" Emily was laughing, pushing Avery back. Smiles are contagious.

Avery fell back onto the bed next to the suitcase, laughing. Emily bared down upon her, tickling her relentlessly. She jumped onto the bed, poking Avery's stomach where it was most ticklish. Laughter was filling the room.

"S-stop!!" Avery shouted, "I give in, uncle, just stop!"

Emily sat up, her worried thoughts gone. "That'll teach you to accuse me of lying!"

Avery sighed, "I suppose so..." suddenly, a weight shoved Emily down again, and she felt the tickling begin. "Or not!"

"No fair!" Emily felt as if she was six, screaming at her mom. "No faiirr!!"

"All is fair in love and war!" Avery shouted victoriously.
