R - "what?"
M - "never mind! hi again!"
AL - "hi? again?"
Mimu walked over and sat on his bed [the closest to the door] and the three sat on the side of the second bed facing him, it was clear he was trying to not kick his feet back and forth but it was also clear he was failing at stoping that.
M - "i don't know if she told you but shes my new room mate!"
He pointed at her and Milan pushed his hand back down but he didn't notice and continued,
M - "and mother said i'll have more roommates"
R - "we are your 'more roommates'"
...
M - "huha?"
Weirdly this was what made him stop kicking his feet and tilt his head, and no one could see it but Aloe eyed Rose to make sure she wouldn't call him a puppy for that too, and while she couldn't see it she knew him well enough to not try to get the word puppy out her mouth.
R - "we don't have parnets-"
AL - "it doesn't matter-!"
Aloe cut off Rose in a slight panic, not a sad panic, just panic. Rose broke eye contact with anyone for a few seconds, which for the few hours [if that] that Mimu knew her wasn't like her, like she spaced out of it for a few seconds, maybe she was remembering something, or maybe forgetting. Mimu didn't linger on the few seconds this happened for long because another knock was at the door.
Milan got up to get the door and when she opened it azzy's voice started but stoped
A - "hey- what?-"
...
A - "who are you??"
MI - "Milan."
A - "oh what the fu?- never mind if I get confused I'll forget what I was going to say, can I be let in?"
Azzy was about to question milan's [everything really] but quickly shoved the confusion to the side and Milan let her in, she immediately sat on mimu's bed next to him and started talking.
A - "ok this can go bad in so many ways, wait did you tell him already?"
R - "no I was hoping you would,"
A - "aw come on man I though we were in this together"
R - "I side with no one I just want violence"
M+AL - "violence???"
A - "pleaasse can you tell him, hes your brother!"
R - "soo?"
A - "fine but you tell my brother"
R - "fair, Aloe, Eirn is Azzy's brother"
Azzy and Aloe both replied 'what'.. in very different tones.. surprisedly Azzy sounded more mad and confused, Mimu just said a soft and very confused "yeah?..." really it was hard to tell if he was mad or panicked but it might have been both, he probably would have put his legs to his chest if he didn't have shoes on and didn't want them on the bed.
A - "you just told me to tell him"
R - "I didn't want to tell your brother, I don't even fully remember what the guy looks like, seen him like once-?"
M- "huh..?"
A - "uaa.. now I have to tell him myself!"
Ironically Azzy and Aloe did the same thing, put there head in their hands and think about how they got here, Mimu wasn't catching on and just awkwardly pated Azzy on the back [which just as she was fine with telling her brother only made her remember how he helped her today and she is going to repay him like this. She put her head back down in shame]
M - "whats going on?"
R - "my brother thinks Eirn hates him when thats just not the case, he doesn't believe me, I already knew that but he didn't"
She said jokily while wrapping her arm around his shoulder, still confused he agrees and starts to get up before she pushes him back down
A - "oh no- no don't actually- hes probably still loving life right now and we should give him time to enjoy it"
AL - *muffled* "you didn't give me time!"
M - "well how will you tell him?"
R - "I could do it"
A - "definitely not- and make up your mind! okay look, its about... 3:12-"
MI - "3:27"
A - "-3:27 right now, and dinner is at like 4:30 because we are first dinner, we have basically a hour to tell him or he is going to see him at dinner since we are only a few rooms apart"
R - "why not wait"
A - "I think me and Aloe will die if we wait"
R - "he might die regardless if i'm being honest"
AL - "can't I just say here"
A - "pff maybe if you were sick or grandmother was gone but no way she'll let you,"
. .. ...3:30pm... .. .
3 minutes had gone by. Mimu and Rose had the same thoughts; "can I just rip the bandaid off?" however Mimu wanted to do it to spare Aloe and Azzy while Rose just wanted to see everything crumble. Azzy had laid back on the bed, catching her hat as it fell off and sighing, breaking the 3 minute silence just for it to continue. she had plenty of ideas, all bad and she kept them to herself, some she begain to say but stoped herself.
'letter? no I think thats just weird for me to do, letter from someone else? thats even weirder, letters... letter beads... bracelet? why would he want a bracelet saying 'I brought that guy that you think hates you here! love Azzy!', he'd wear it but he'd hate everything while wearing it-... make them matching bracelets?... damn I managed to top my shity idea, this does give me a good idea for a bracelet... wait fuck! off track-"
-Is a brief summary of what she thought about, and really Aloe was trying his very best not to think at all,
10 more minutes, nothing, none of them had moved like they were going to be 'it' if they did, 'it really shouldn't be this bad to tell him' they all thought, still no one wanted to [or in rose's case was allowed to]
5 more minutes...
M - "can we please do anything! just to distract ourselves?"
A - "I am so thankful I am going to go beads now-"
She got up and left like she was waiting for the go ahead to get them, thankfully last night she got low on the beads in her room and had to go to a common room to get more, Mimu got out the description book he was making and started to write them down, then he realized how different they are, but also aloe's hat
M - "why is your hat like that"
AL - "oh, well I think the hat was made wrong, it doesn't fit anyone I knew, it just keeps sliding"
He tried fixing it and holding it up but as he let go it fell back down
AL - "its not low enough that I can't see, I just can't see the ceiling"
M - "and why is your hair green?"
R - "why is your hair green?"
...
M - "i don't know, why is his hair black?"
R - "why is Milan's hair black?"
...
R - "nah i'm just fucking with you, we aren't blood siblings if thats what you were trying to get to"
R - "I still just know hes my little brother"
This was the first time Mimu seen Rose smile, she pushed aloes hat down even more so it was definitely closing his eyes making Aloe not see her, something told Mimu it would probably be a while before he saw that smile again, something also told him it would be a while before he saw his sister's smile at all. He naturally smiled too but he could almost feel the sadness threatening to make him cry.
R - "and I need some excuse to drag him everywhere I go"
She teased for a reaction that Aloe purposely didn't give her, Mimu hadn't realized how badly he missed his sister, for everything else those 8 years felt like nothing but when he tried to piece together that first night, those 8 years really settled in. But seeing Azzy and Eirn, Rose and Aloe, it made it set in deep in his skin that he didn't have his sister.
It hadn't been long, knowing them all, but he wanted to be polite and kind as Eirn and Aloe, but a part of him cruelly reminded him that even if he was like Eirn and Aloe that he wouldn't have his sister, someone who bugged and made fun of him like Azzy and Rose, he had no family now and he wasn't sure if he ever would.
When did his thoughts get so somber? where was his sister, she left him alone, Kepo gave him away like his lie told. no.. he left her. The memories that had set into his roots before his mind made its way up as the tears leaked down his face to his chin, every bit. or maybe the tears were caused by the memories. He had been the reason and the pit in his throat almost felt like it was being bitterly traced by the tears that were now down his neck.
Mimu didn't even realized he was overthinking it, to an excessive and irrational degree, the two assumed he was just spacing out until he suddenly started crying, immediately Aloe got up and went to him while Rose sat in a mix of shock, awkwardness, and confusion, he started to hold mimu's face with one hand but hesitated before using both hands to wipe his tears then held him by the shoulders
AL - "are you okay? what happened?"
M - "I?- what..? sorry- sorry-! I just remembered something thats all! its fine"
Azzy walked in and was just as confused as Rose, and Aloe didn't trust mimu's tone and lack of directly saying that he himself was ok. Aloe sat next to Mimu while he sat skittishly, Azzy thought to question what happened but she took a look at Rose and knew that no one really knew what just happened, Mimu thought to apologize again but he sat quietly with his book in his hand, with the guilt of that night rushing to him,
A - "want me to teach you how to make it?"
She had walked over and handed him a kandi bracelet, it was just a 5 layered black and white one but he put in on and declined, the other 3 got on the floor with Azzy and she tried teaching them to make the one like Mimu was now wearing, but Mimu stayed on the bed and decided to just write what he was going to then join them
"Aloe has very dark hair and his hat covers his eyes, he has brown skin and he voice sounds nice,"
"Rose is his sibling and her hair is light green and she wears a red cape- well it isn't a cape, I don't know the name"
He would have put more detail if he wasn't over thinking the whole thing, 'i'll write this later, maybe I should talk to mother' he said to himself, hoping she would have something to say to Mimu so that maybe he wouldn't feel so guilty. Mimu got up and told the group bye to which they told him to come back at around 4:15. Once he left Azzy leaned into the center of the group
R - "kay what happened??"
Rose held up her hands in confusion and Azzy only looked more lost, she looked to Milan for help but Milan only slightly tilted her head to the Aloe and Rose who where to her right,
A - "wait ok- we will get back to that in a moment- who are you???"
MI - "Milan."
A - "aha.. what I do?"
MI - "nothin' I just look like this"
For a moment the weirdness of her voice was gone, but in its place her tone sounded like it came from Azzy and her accent changed, Azzy sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose and ignoring Milan she continued,
A - "I think he has a sister?"
R - "think?"
A - "well mama' doesn't tell me anything-! really it was implied poorly-"
R - "well where is she?"
A - "I dunno, she said that the girl might be here the same way Mimu got here soon,"
R - "... how did he get here?"
A - "oh!.. well. uh.."
Unfortunately Azzy wasn't a good liar- or a quick one, but Azzy had her suspicions to confirm and the seconds weren't going to rewind any time soon, she told them that she wasn't in the car when he got picked up but that Eirn was, it sounded fake at first but she really wasn't lying with the fact that Eirn was there, she knew if Rose really cared fully and wanted to know more that Eirn would be a better liar then her, [though he wouldn't like it].
Rose and Aloe gave each other a subtle look but Azzy cut the conversation off and started telling them about all the bracelets she had in her room- and how she would show them after dinner was over.
. .. ...4:28pm... .. .
Mimu ran up to the door after he forgotten the time, he knocked on the door and Rose answered
R - "they are a mess"
M - "ohh nooo..."
She let him in two see Aloe in the middle of the floor with Azzy's arm around his shoulder, both looked like they accepted their reality, Mimu hung his head in guilt and Rose rested her arm on his shoulder while rubbing his head with the same hand,
R - "hey, you okay?"
M - "... mhm!"
R - "..alright, well do you know where the dinning room is?"
M - ":D.. no"
R - *sigh* "well now i'm forced to get Azzy"
She said letting go of his head, after a few minutes of convincing that they didn't have to spare, mother walked in,
I - "Mimu have you seen-?"
She stoped mid sentence when she was let in and saw Rose mid dragging both of them and Mimu trying his best to look natural, he was failing to and Rose felt the need to say 'I didn't kill them' which only worried mother even more,
M - "aa! don't say that! sounds like they are dead!"
R - "well I mean, they wanna be"
A - "geez don't say that either- would be nice right now though-"
R - "yea thats nice kiddo but we gotta go to dinner"
I - "Rose, may you put them down?"
Rose pulled them upwards by their shirts with every intent to drop them but mother yelled "SOFTLY!" in a panic before rose got the chance to let go, she put them down on the ground where they laid and mother made a sigh of relief
I - "is everyone okay? they started serving dinner 5 minutes ago"
She said, closing the door, it felt like everyone held their breath because the seats could be anywhere,
R - "alright Azzy, consequences of your own actions or something-"
A - "consequences of MY actions!?"
R - "yep, now show us the lunch room, Mimu doesn't know where it is- if he did I would be gone already-"
A - *annoyed sigh* "fine.. where did Milan go?"
M - "oh she left with mother"
R - "shit I forgot she was even here just now"
A - "its fine,"
Azzy got up and the rest followed her down about 3 hallways to a double door, she walked in first to see grandmother at the head of the table that was closest to the door, and the 5- 'would be empty' seats, Milan had sat right next to grandmother which meant the farthest Aloe would be from Eirn would be 4 seats, Azzy walked in first and sat right next to Eirn to hopefully distract him.
The two started a conversation together while Azzy hoped Rose wouldn't be a prick when she walked in next. Unfortunately Rose sat next to Milan and Mimu sat next to Azzy and Aloe sat in the last seat.
None of them [but Milan] had gotten up to get food but grandmother insisted the 4 got food and made their plates anyway, she asked Eirn if he felt like eating but gave him a plate anyway when he said no. He slid it to his little sisters and turned back to Azzy and smiled.
E - "how long has he been here?!"
He said, whisper-yelled as Azzy kinda complete forgot that Aloe was here, she was mid bite but put the fork down anyway.
A - "damn I was hoping you didn't see"
E - "I did!"
A - "you know, dear brother, your peripheral vision is great, you should look into that"
E - "Azzy-"
A - "yea ok no diverting-"
She quickly ate a piece of food and tried continuing again while he kept a smile on his face while trying his best to not show any signs of something wrong, he nervously tapped on his other hand.
A - "I mean you are doing really well at actin' natural!"
E - "Azzy-"
A - "ok ok just testing the waters"
E - "its boiling!"
They used little metaphors to talk to each other most of the time, 'boiling' means he is Impatient,
A - "mmm, he lives in mimu's room now?"
...
A - "kay, I made it worse huh"
...
A - "hey-! 3 people can't question their life in one day- give it 24 hours"
E - "3...?"
A - "oh yea, me and him were panicking to find out how to tell you"
She took a sip of water before realizing she could've kept that to herself, Eirn wanted to cover his face completely or go into into his room but dinner wasn't over for another 20 minutes, Azzy nudged Mimu and told him to tell the other 3 that he knows,
R - "well, I feel like this is going to be annoying to make you two see"
AL - *muffled* "mmff.."
