"So, what do you think the point of the video was? I want to hear your opinion," Sakayanagi said to the people sitting nearby.

Sakayanagi's followers pondered for a while to glean important information from the video they had watched earlier.

"Well, from what I can deduce. It seems the video just now focused on the bad relationship between Kushida and Horikita," said Hashimoto.

"Yeah, I agree. Also explained more clearly about Kushida's dream," added Kitou.

"..."

Sakayanagi waited a few moments for the others to answer, but was disappointed when they all went silent.

"Already? Just that? No more answers?" said Sakayanagi slightly dissatisfied.

"What else is there?" Kamuro asked while crossing her arms.

Sakayanagi sighed, she then looked at her followers one more time to see if no one would answer again.

Then she saw Hashimoto was about to say something.

"If I could say, I have one thing that bothers me," Hashimoto said to Sakayanagi.

"Oh? What's that?"

"Something about them possibly coming from the same middle school," said Hashimoto.

A glint of interest appeared in Sakayanagi's eyes after hearing Hashimoto's words, she gave a small smile as if the answer she was expecting had already appeared.

"Fu fu, well done, Hashimoto-kun," said Sakayanagi with a smile.

"Does it really matter?" asked a confused Kamuro.

"Depends how much truth there is in those words. Think about it again, why is she so obsessed with being friends with Horikita Suzune-san? Why was she so focused on her? If she wants to be friends with everyone, she can focus on other people first. There's no rush to be friends with people who don't want to be friends with you. Or does she really have some important unexplained needs so she really insists on being friends with Horikita-san," explained Sakayanagi at length.

Hashimoto slightly widened his eyes after hearing Sakayanagi's explanation, "Princess, you mean..."

"Yes, if they really come from the same middle school, then I'm sure Kushida-san's goals are more than just friends," said Sakayanagi.

"Maybe the problem between them is deeper than what we thought," said Hashimoto with a sigh. After that class A discussion ended.

Shortly thereafter, the break ended and Eve premiered her next video.

The End of Everyday Life

"Ku ku, what an interesting title," Ryueen said with a chuckle.

"Do you know something, Ryuuen-san?" asked Ishizaki.

Ryuuen didn't answer, instead he turned to Shiina "What do you think, Hiyori?"

Everyone around Ryuuen looked at Shiina who was pondering to answer Ryuuen's question.

"Hm, judging from the title, I think these are the last days they live peacefully in this school," said Shiina.

"L-Last days?," Ishizaki stuttered slightly at Shiina's choice of words.

"Peaceful life...?" Ibuki thought while crossing her arms, before long she came to a conclusion, "I see, so far the videos are showing the events that happened in April."

Shiina nodded at Ibuki's conclusion.

"Wait, does that mean..." Ishizaki said in surprise.

"Ku ku, have your stupid brains finally understood? It's possible that this video will be the last part of this boring school life, the next part will go into the main conflict of this session," said Ryuuen.

"Ha ha ha ha! God, you're so dumb. You're hilarious, man!"

Ike chatted loudly with Yamauchi during second-period math. It'd been three weeks since the entrance ceremony. In that time, Ike and Yamauchi, along with Sudou, had collectively come to be known as "The Idiot Trio."

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me! E-Eve why are you showing this part," Ike shouted in exasperation. His face was pale and he even overlooked that he had just been nicknamed the 'Trio Idiots'.

But unfortunately for him, Eve was quiet and didn't answer anything. Ike slumped in his chair as he saw his efforts go to waste.

Seeing Ike's reaction, the other Class C students knew what was going to be shown. Their faces immediately turned pale, they were extremely anxious that their stupidity would be exposed to everyone.

Ryuuen and Sakayanagi grinned and smiled in satisfaction seeing what was about to happen.

"Hey, hey, do you want to go do karaoke?"

"Yeah, let's go!"

A group of girls nearby were making plans for after class.

"I was really worried for a while, but it looks like everyone's opened up to each other quickly."

"Ayanokouji-kun, haven't you made quite a few friends?" asked Horikita, copying what was written on the blackboard into her notebook.

"Somewhat, I suppose."

"Sup?" Halfway through class, Sudou crashed through the door and barged into the classroom. He slumped in his seat with a yawn, clearly not caring how late he was.

"Kh... damn it. This is so embarrassing," muttered Sudou through grinding his teeth.

"Oh, hey, Sudou. Wanna get lunch later?" Ike called out to Sudou from across the room.

The math teacher continued the lesson without even really paying attention. Normally, the teacher would have flicked a piece of chalk at him, but perhaps out of some feeling of laissez faire, all of the teachers tolerated that kind of behavior. Even when it came to poor language, being late to class, or dozing off, no one cared. While at first our class had acted more reserved, now everyone was far too flippant. Of course, there were a few students like Horikita who studied diligently.

All the students other than Class C who were looking down in shame, were shocked by what they saw.

"You have got to be kidding me," Machida said in disbelief. He and a few of the other Class A kids were the most shocked out of everyone.

"Were they also like this in middle high school? I can't believe they got through it," said Hashimoto raising his eyebrows.

"Fu fu, look at that, Masumi-san. That's what you've been waiting for, right?" said Sakayanagi with a smile.

Kamuro sighed, "You seem to know about this already."

"Not at first, but it's very easy to guess. They are called 'defective' not without reason," said Sakayanagi.

"I see," Kamuro replied nodding.

My cell phone vibrated in my pocket, indicating that I'd received a message. It was from the guys' group chat that I was a part of. It looked like they'd decided to eat lunch in the dining hall.

"Hey, Horikita. Do you want to have lunch with me?" I asked.

"I will have to decline. Your group is rather unrefined, anyway."

"I can't deny that."

When guys were alone, all they talked about were girls and dirty jokes. Who's cute, who's going out with who, how far they've gone, etc. Adding a girl into the group would probably have been a bad idea.

"Ugh... how disgusting," said Shinohara who didn't hide her disgust. Almost all of the Class C girls agreed with her.

"Hey! It's no different with the girls," Ike said trying to defend himself.

"That's not true," replied the girls.

"That's true. We saw you gossiping about boys several times," said the boys, not wanting to budge.

"At least we're not as bad as you," replied the girls.

Seeing the situation heating up, Hirata stepped in to calm them down. Horikita who saw the incident just let out a sigh.

"Why do they so easily embarrass themselves like that," Horikita said as she crossed her arms.

"At least they're better than last year," said Kushida. If it was last year, the chaos would definitely be worse than now.

"Whoa. Seriously, he has a girlfriend? Awesome."

Based on Ike's conversation, it sounded like Hirata was dating Karuizawa. Watching Karuizawa from afar, I saw that she was gazing lovingly at him from across the room. As for my own impression of Karuizawa, well, she was certainly cute. But she had this atmosphere around her that it made difficult for uncertain people to approach her. In other words, she seemed like one of those intensely "girly"-type girls. In junior high, she'd probably pounced on pretty boys like Hirata. These were my own uncharitable assumptions, but I probably wasn't far off.

Karuizawa looked at Ayanokouji with a frown.

"I'm sorry," said Ayanokouji hurriedly apologetically.

"I won't forgive you, unless you treat me to lunch," said Karuizawa.

"Okay," said Ayanokouji with a sigh, then he realized something, "But how? We can't have lunch without getting caught."

"Well, after some of the events we've been through recently. I feel like I don't care anymore about my status in class, so I'm fine if our relationship is known by other people. Is that okay with you?" said Karuizawa.

"I don't mind, I also think the same as you, your position is strong enough in class even when our relationship is known to others. If you don't want that position anymore, then that's fine with me too," said Ayanokouji.

"It's decided then," said Karuizawa while nodding in satisfaction, then she looked back at Ayanokouji shyly, "Speaking of lunch earlier..."

"Of course we will, I promised right?" said Ayanokouji. Karuizawa's expression became even more cheerful after hearing that.

Oops. I had pretty mean-spirited opinions about her, although, not really to the extent that it would be considered defamation. I apologized to Karuizawa in my head.

"I hate that look on your face."

Horikita glared icily at me. She must have read my sleazy inner thoughts. How fast did you need to move to become a couple right after starting school? I was agonizing over just making friends.

"That's just the advantage that handsome men have, it's very easy for them to get girlfriends because girls are clingy to them."

Ike spat out those reasonable words while grumbling, Miyamoto and the others agreed with him.

If I'd gone up to Horikita and asked, "Would you go out with me?" she definitely would've smacked me.

"First of all you have to thaw her frozen heart, Kiyopon. Second, you must have qualifications on par with Horikita-senpai," said Hasebe.

"Please don't bring up such things," Horikita said with a sigh.

"Aren't you interested in romance, Suzune?" Hasebe asked.

"I don't know. Even if I'm interested, I have absolutely no idea what love is. You have seen for yourself what my life has been all along," Horikita said.

Due to her absolute goal of pursuing her older brother, Horikita completely neglected things unrelated to cultivating her talent, so naturally she had no experience when it came to love.

Sudou leaned back against the backrest while contemplating Horikita's words, "Maybe I should just be patient to confess my feelings to Suzune. For now I should focus on developing my skills to become someone she can rely on."

"Hmm, looks like some of our members are completely inexperienced when it comes to romance," Hasebe said, crossing her arms.

"If I remember, you used to like an upperclassman right, Haruka-chan?" she asked. It was one of the things they saw from Hasebe's past.

"Ah, about that I don't even know if I really like him or not, that's why I never do any action," said Hasebe.

"In other words, you have no experience in romance either," Miyake said with a grin, but he was immediately elbowed by Hasebe.

At any rate, if I were to get a girlfriend, I'd prefer a kinder, more ladylike girl.

"He likes girls who are kind and graceful, Honami-chan," said Amikura, smiling seductively.

"Mou, stop teasing me, Mako-chan," Ichinose said while pouting.

For third period, we had history class with Chabashira-sensei. When the bell rang, Chabashira-sensei walked into the noisy classroom. Her entrance didn't alter the students' behavior.

"Quiet down a little, please. Today's lesson will be a bit serious."

"A bit serious? Ah, I remember. This is the sudden test," said Satou.

"Yes, and you know what that means?" asked Matsushita to Satou.

"What do you mean?" Shinohara asked.

Satou and Shinohara stared at Matsushita in confusion, they didn't know what the girl meant. Mori and Onodera who were sitting near Matsushita also looked at her in confusion.

Seeing that her friends did not understand what she meant, Matsushita answered.

"May is near," she said briefly.

It took a while for them to understand what Matsushita meant, and when they did, their eyes widened.

"May... then that means..." Shinohara asked surprised. Matsushita nodded, understanding what Shinohara meant.

Onodera immediately slumped in his chair, "Well, we're screwed. The other classes will definitely laugh at us again like just now."

"I think we've been screwed since this video first aired," said Mori.

"What do you mean, Sae-chan-sensei?"

They already had a pet name for the teacher.

"He he, looks like you are liked by your students, Sae-chan," said Hoshinomiya with a smile.

"For a while," Chabashira answered briefly. She didn't know how her students would feel after the truth of this school became known to them.

"It's the end of the month, so we're going to have a short test. Please pass these to the back."

She handed out the papers to the students in the front row. Eventually, the single-sheet test reached my desk. It contained questions in the five main subjects. With only a few questions per subject, it really was short.

"Huh? I wasn't listening, though. This is so unfair!" a student cried.

"Don't say that. This test is just for future reference. It won't be reflected in your report cards. There is no risk involved, so don't worry. Of course, cheating is prohibited."

Her phrasing struck me as odd. Normally, only general grades were reflected in your report card. But the way Chiyabashira-sensei said they wouldn't be reflected in our report cards made me think that the grade could be reflected in some other way. Well...perhaps I was worrying too much. If this had no effect on our report card, then there was no need to be so cautious.

"Well, that test is just for a tryout before the midterms, isn't it?" Komiya said.

"No, not only that. That monster must have gotten a clue from the teacher's words, but where?"

Ryuuen thought that while narrowing his eyes. He actually had his suspicions in a certain part, but he couldn't be certain yet.

As soon as the pop quiz began, I scanned the questions. There were four questions per subject, for a total of twenty. Each question was worth five points, for a total of one hundred points. Most of the questions were extraordinarily easy, to the point where it was almost a letdown. In fact, the questions seemed to be about two levels less difficult than the ones on the entrance examination. It appeared far too easy.

However, just as I thought that, I reached the end of the test. The final three questions were an order of magnitude higher in terms of difficulty. The final math problem couldn't be solved without complex formulae.

"Man, I used to be surprised by the questions too but thank goodness I still got an average score," Shibata said.

"Yeah, same with me. It's as if the questions were meant to be left unanswered," said Hamaguchi.

While Shibata and Hamaguchi talked about the tricky question, Kanzaki was more focused on something else.

"Without a complicated formula? Why is he talking as if he can answer them," thought Kanzaki.

"No way. These questions are seriously way too hard..."

These questions couldn't be geared toward a first-year high school student. The final three questions were clearly of a different quality than the others, so it was possible they'd been put on the test by mistake. Even though the results wouldn't be reflected in our grades, what in the hell were they evaluating with this?

Well, I guess I'll just solve these problems the same way I did on the entrance exam.

"???"

Everyone tilted their heads in confusion at Ayanokouji's words.

"The same way as the entrance exam? What does he mean? Kanji, do you know what that means?" Miyamoto asked.

"The hell I know," Ike replied with a shrug. Then he looked back, "Hey, Ayanokouji. What does it mean?"

Everyone also turned to look at Ayanokouji, they were also curious about the answer.

"Keep watching, you will find out soon enough," Ayanokouji answered curtly, not allowing them to ask any further questions.

Hearing Ayanokouji's answer, everyone looked back at the screen although curiosity still haunted them. But there were also people who understood what Ayanokouji meant.

Horikita gave Ayanokouji a knowing look before she looked back at the screen. She might be the only student who knew exactly what Ayanokouji meant, but since Ayanokouji decided to stay silent then she would do the same.

Chabashira-sensei monitored us. As she slowly patrolled the classroom, she kept a watchful eye to dissuade us from cheating. I quickly glanced at Horikita, who would never even think of cheating. Her pen danced across the paper as she filled in all of the answers. It looked like she was easily going to get a perfect score.

I continued staring intently at my test until the bell rang.

Video ends.

Unlike before, this video felt short for them but there were also those who felt that this section was a preparation for something bigger.

Thanks for reading! The chapter are quite short this time.

Actually this chapter is quite long in the novel, but I shortened it because the rest was just sexual harassment and dirty words by Ike and Yamauchi.

Then see you in the next chapter.
