He put away the last of the groceries, his furniture had been delivered and the small one bedroom apartment was finally starting to feel like home.
He wasn't sure he would ever feel at home, anywhere but this was close a lot closer than he ever expected. He pulled out the book and flipped through the pages, he ran his finger over each headline and picture. It had consumed him, he needed all the information he could get on them, it was almost like a drug for him. He had simply replaced one addiction with another, he needed to know how they were doing, he needed to know that they were okay.

Phil paced outside the attorney's office, the final decision was supposed to have been in regarding custody of Jonathan and Madilyn, "no, he isn't here yet" he told Kim, "I'm going crazy" he heard a car door and spun around, "he's here now, I gotta go, I love you too" he ended the call and waited for the office to open.
Linda was busying herself with a deck of cards when she heard someone call her name, "what is it now?" She asked, with annoyance in her voice.
"You have a visitor" Nancy replied, "which kind of surprises me since you're always so pleasant" she told her, "she's in the common room"
"Who is it?" Linda asked, but Nancy had already left.
She grabbed her cup of coffee and headed down the corridor, racking her brain as to who would be visiting her, drawing a blank.
As she entered the room she spotted her on the couch, her styrofoam cup of coffee falling from her grip, "shit!" she yelled as the coffee splashed on the floor.
