the summer that started it all.

andrea peterson had been having a behind closed doors relationship with someone who she thought she'd never get with due to the girl's parents being extremely homophobic, so that summer her heart broke into pieces at the girl of her dreams moving thousands of miles away from her.

instead of mopping around and crying, andrea used the summer to join a dojo in the valley but there was two dojos in the valley that each had her friends in, mainly cobra kai but her ex-best friend samantha larusso was in miyagi-do, a dojo sam's father had been trained in back in the late 1980's.

drea knew her mother wouldn't be happy about her joining a karate dojo due to the fact that andrea already had her plate full with cheerleading and school that she was falling massively behind on.

sheila had been a single mother who wanted to have a daughter after the death of her husband before andrea was even born, so she got a sperm donor who was described exactly like her husband and did everything after that herself.

sheila knew she was hard on her daughter, but only because she saw so much potential in her to be the best, to go to college and graduate top of her classes, she wanted her daughter to experience that achievement.

but that summer, andrea joined cobra kai and she was happy that she was apart of the group since she made friends really quick and didn't realise that most people that her friends used to bully was also apart of the team.

but that group changed more and more as sensei lawerence let his old karate sensei kreese take over a lesson what taught drea and the rest of cobra kai's that their former sensei was going soft on them.

sheila wasn't happy when she had gotten a phone call saying about how their had been a school fight and that her daughter was involved in the school and had been taken to hospital to be checked over.

-

andrea peterson had never broken a bone before and that whole fact changed as during the fight, she was fighting against a miyagi-do who had kicked her a little too hard across the stomach which ended with andrea laying beside miguel unconscious on her side.

her mother was disappointed with her since andrea now had to stop doing cheerleading cause of her broken arm, and the fact that it could of been much worse scared sheila to death.

west valley high wasn't safe anymore for her precious daughter.

andrea walked into school with her head held high wearing the sling that held up her broken arm to her chest, "there she is," hawk smiled at his best friend who stands near them with a cast on her arm, "how's your arm?" hawk questioned her.

drea held her arm to then wince at the pain shooting through her arm, "doc said—" she lets out a breath, "i have to keep this on for another five to seven weeks,"

hawk's eyes widened, "oh shit," andrea hummed, "my mom is also mad at me and said how she doesn't want me to do karate anymore," bert looked at her, "but you are our queen cobra alongside tory,"

andrea smiled at that comment from bert, "i will still go to karate but i just won't participate," hawk and mitch nod their heads, "this is the year, day one, round two, let's get it,"

the peterson girl didn't want any part in whatever they were planning since she didn't want to get suspended like tory did, "sup, front wedgie," she hears looking up to where she was looking at her red nails seeing yasmine and moon, "what happened to this place?"

however, andrea didn't have time to comment as she had to get her books out from her locker, which was truly a struggle, as she leaned down putting book by book into her bagpack.

-

andrea walked to the stairs where she had lied unconscious due to a miyagi-do student, she felt herself starting to hyperventilate as her breaths started coming out shallow.

she closed her eyes remembering how her mother told her to breathe in and out, however andrea didn't stay in school, she however went home not wanting to de with the looks and the stares from everybody.

"andrea?"

the broken casted girl turned to face her mother, "mom? what are you doing here?" sheila comes closer to her daughter, "what are you doing home? why aren't you in school?"

andrea looked down, "i thought i was ready, but then..i—everybody was staring at me, i just had to get out of there," sheila nods her head, "i get it,"

her hand touched her daughter's free hand, "believe me, i've seen a enough fights to know," andrea felt a tear come down her face, "it's different when you're a girl, even if you win, you're not cool or tough, they think you're crazy,"

sheila sighed knowing what her daughter was talking about, "i just wanted everybody to stop fighting, i wanted to be a good guy," sheila brings her daughter closer to her, rubbing andrea's arm, "you are, that's what's most important," andrea nods her head as she sniffled.

she cried into her mother's arms about not wanting to hurt anybody at the schooo fight but that was what she did, and now all she wanted was for miyagi-do to hurt the way she did.
