Chapter 23

I continue to stare at the gun and I can feel Cheryl shaking slightly I look down at her and I see the fear and worry in her eyes and on her face, I look back at him and he is wearing a sick smile then he lifts the gun up

“Oh do you like this? Its pretty cool if you ask me” he laughs then his face changes to that of evil and kinda sarcastic and he points the gun to Cheryl,

“Should I kill you and then leave Nadine to suffer alone after your death or do I do it the other way round?” he says moving the gun between us,

There’s silence for awhile then my phone starts ringing causing all of us to jump and then I hear the loud bang of the gun go off and I quickly fall to the floor holding my breath, I look at Cheryl and she nods telling me she is okay and I look down at myself to see that I’m not injured,

“You stupid cow! Turn it off” he shouts I quickly turn my phone off and put it back in my pocket

“You know what Nadine I loved you with all my heart, and what do you do? You humiliate me in front of everyone by calling the wedding of” he says shaking his head

“What do you want? I’ll give you all the money you want, or just let Cheryl go and keep me here” I say tears falling from my eyes

“But that wouldn’t be as much fun now would it?” he says pacing left to right, he rubs his chin as if he is in deep thought

“Put her down” he says and my breathing gets heavier

“Why?” I ask

“Just do it!” he says swinging the gun and pointing it me, I look at Cheryl and I so badly want to kiss her but I know it will only anger him I set her on her feet but she stays close to my side

“Come here!” he says to her and she shakes her head

“I said come here!” he shouts

“No!” she shouts back and he then fires the gun again just missing my shoulder and hitting the wall behind me making me jump

“Next time I wont miss now move!” he says she looks at me and I nod, she walks over to him still holding me hand until she has to let go to side by him

“You know what I never understood why Ashley cheated on you” he says looking her up and down and my anger boils I just want to slap him, he reaches a hand up and touches her face and that’s it this is all I can physically and emotionally take I run at him and collide with his body sending him to the ground

“Go now outside” I shout at Cheryl her eyes wide with shock

“Now!” I say and she doesn’t move I reach up and grab her wrist and send her forward towards the door

“I’ll be fine” I say I get up and shove her out the door and close it behind her so its only me and him left, but this time I have something he doesn’t.
