Ch.4 A day out

Kai

As soon as the bell rang I raced out of the classroom to wait at the school gates for Crystal since we had planned on going to McDonalds earlier in the day. What was taking her so long though? She would be out by now. And I know she doesn't usually get detentions, so where was she? I looked down at my phone multiple times and checked if Crystal was any of the students leaving the school.

Finally, a green eyed brunette walked out of the school. Unfortunately, she had company. Crystal walked out with kara beside her. Kara had given me bad vibes since she joined us but what can I do? Crystal feels bad for her and is trying to help Kara because of her tragic past but I feel like she's using Crystal. I can't bring it up to Crystal without her thinking I am over-reacting.

Crystal

My last period was with Kara. She seemed to be a bit quiet. Honestly, judging from her past I didn't think she'd want to talk much anyway so I let her be and instead invited her to join me and Kai after school. I know Kai wouldn't really be okay with it but he'll have to deal with it.

Kara seems so nice though. I'm sure she will love hanging out with Kai and I. I want to make her feel super happy and like she has friends with her. I don't want her to feel alone.

Kara

Once we got to McDonalds we ordered three McFlurrys. I loved it. However, I knew what I had in mind. Crystal and Kai seemed like such amazing people but I knew Kai was onto me. I know that he will probably try to convince Crystal I'm bad which is why I need to show and trick her into thinking I'm innocent.

After a too many fake smiles, I said my goodbyes to both of them, getting Crystal's phone number on the way. I could see through Kai easily and suspected he was waiting for me to do one bad thing but I know how to hide my tracks.

This is the only way my family will ever pay attention to me. I have no choice...

Kai

I can't believe Crystal didn't suspect anything!Kara is obviously up to something. Crystal is so oblivious though, she hasn't suspected a thing. I'm not going to try to convince her though. I'm just going to let Kara do what she wants until I get enough evidence against her!

She won't see what's coming I know she won't. But I have to make sure to take care of Crystal as much as I can. You see, I kind of really uh...nevermind.
