Lloyd and I change into our ninja gis. They're huge so we both roll up the sleeves and cuff the pants to keep from tripping. But it adds to the whole facade that the Green Ninja are here to help.

"This could end up really bad or really well."

Lloyd and I go onto the deck and look down at the Mountain of a Million Steps, the way the others got in. The Bounty is landed on the mountain and a rope is tied to a rock next to the hole they climbed through all the way down.

Lloyd ran off the ship excitedly and keeps doing a series of forward rolls saying "ninja roll!"

"He's such a weird kid!"

"We go the same way." Lloyd says when we get to the entrance

"Yeah, thank the First Spinjitzu Master we had crazy ass teachers and lessons so we're fully equipped to do this. If not, we'd fall and plummet to our deaths."

"Nice thought, Linds." My twin deadpans, "alright, let's do it."

"Do we actually have a plan or are we charging in blind?"

He scoffs and rolls his eyes, "when do we ever fully plan anything?... anything that doesn't involve terrorizing villages anyway?"

"Fair point! Lead the way!"

We both go over the railing and climb down the rope that goes down into the center of the mountain. It's dark down here, thankfully the skylight is enough for us to see by.

There's a bunch of carvings and designs all over the walls the Serpentine created. My brother and I look around them for a minute.

"Where's the door?" Lloyd asks but I don't answer him.

Instead I gasp happily and run over to one of the walls, "look!"

Some of the carvings are of the ninja, only they have mustaches and beards or they're crossed eyed.

"Those are masterpieces!" Lloyd exclaims

"I wish we had a way to take a picture of them!"

"Check out Cole's mustache!" He says, touching the carving.

Suddenly the room rumbles and the wall with the carvings slides inward and to the side to reveal a passageway.

"Sweet!" We say happily and rush inside.

It's a long dark hallway, lit up with dim fixtures on the ceiling. It gives the tunnel a eerie glow. It's a straight shot to the main room so at least we don't have to wander around passageways and figure out where to go.

We find the entrance to hideout pretty quick. It's a huge dome shaped room with a staircase spiraling down along the curved walls. We peer over the edge and look down to see all the tribes having another Slither Pit competition.

"They are way too obsessed with that game!"

"There they are!" Lloyd whisper shouts to me and points to the side.

Hanging from the ceiling is a giant it's cage with the others chained up inside. Kai noticed us first and gets the attention of the others.

"They look so relieved." I say simply before Lloyd and I are laughing and doing our best to keep it quiet.

"I wish we had something to take a picture with... again!" I say as we giggle. Glancing down again, I can practically see them rolling their eyes. Some of them are shaking their heads at my brother's and my behavior.

I control my giggles, "okay so what are we gonna do?"

Lloyd peeks over again and looks back and forth from the cage to the floor. He finally points, "those are the chains holding cage. They extend all the way to the ground and look to be apart of a pulley system."

"So we sneak down there and get the cage down." I nod on agreement, "how are we supposed to get them out of the chains? Or the cage itself?"

"They can help with that once we get them down." He replies, "they might know where the key is."

"Won't Pythor see us?"

He scoffs, "Linds, we're incredible at stealth because of training we went through at Darkly's and now we're the Green Ninja. They'll never see us coming." He jumps up and leaves the ledge to head down the steps.

"Wait, Lloyd!" I whisper shout at him. I was gonna mention how we aren't actually trained ninja yet, but I don't get the chance.

I watch as if I'm slow motion my twin tripping over a stone and tumbling down the spiral steps. He falls down in a series of flips and rolls.

I cover my eyes with my hands, "oh First Spinjitzu Master, I can't watch this!" I say aloud

He gasps, saying, "ow! That one hurt." When his head hits another rock.

I peer between my fingers, "it's unbearable!" I glance to the cage to see the others watching Lloyd tumble down as well. Heads bobbing along with each hit.

I uncover my hands and put them on my cheeks, "I wish I had something to take a picture of this with... or a way to record it would be better."

He flips again and somehow it catapults him further than the other ones. He lands directionally on the top of his head and I know that hit hurt because I suddenly gasp and move my hand up to rub the top of my head.

"Ow!" I groan

Finally he reaches the bottom of the steps and does a few more forward rolls until he's in the middle of the crowd of snakes. He lands on his face and stays there for a second, no doubt because of his dizziness. He's also gonna be bruised as hell.

"Would that give a concussion? Should I be worried...?"

Finally he stands up and dusts off his gi.

"Good, he's okay... now do I laugh or go down there?"

Finally he turns to Pythor, putting his hands on his hips. Trying to look tough, I guess...?

"Well, if we don't meet again, Pythor. Unhand the ninja, or suffer humiliation against the Green Ninja!" He exclaims dramatically

This causes all the snakes the erupt in laughter. I merely facepalm and shake my head.

"Do I laugh or go down there? So conflicted..."

Pythor asks between laughs, "oh yeah? You and what army?"

My brother stammers for a second, "how about my army of fists?" He says air punching

"Oh it just keeps getting worse."

This makes the serpent's laughter continue, but even more so. I look back to the others and see them all have a similar reaction to me. Shaking their heads or facepalming.

"Fine, then how about that army!" Lloyd suddenly exclaims and points up at me.

Everyone turns to see my peering over the edge.

"What?!" I shriek, "Lloyd, I am not an army!"

But I furrow my eyebrows when I see the snakes actually looking shocked, some even taking a few steps back.

"What in the-"

"How about this army!" Someone shouts next to me and I turn to see my dad standing beside me. Not only my dad, but an army of skeleton all of which are lined up along the staircase. There must be a hundred of them!

"When did they get here? How oblivious am I?!"

"Dad?!" My twin and I shout

"Twins, you helped my realize I do have a choice. And if there is anyone who is going to threaten Ninjago, it better well be me." Dad says

I give him a weird look, "so me saying not everyone has a choice helped you realize you do have a choice?" I ask bewilderedly, but finally shrug, "oh well, I guess however you finally got here."

He doesn't have a chance to respond though before Pythor is speaking, "the skeleton army? But why would they fight beside you? You betrayed them and Samukai long ago!"

"Because everybody hates snakes!" One of the skeleton shouts angrily causing all the skeletons to start laughing this time.

Pythor death glares them and shrieks, "attack!"

"Attack!" A skeleton shouts and suddenly both armies are running for each other.

Dad joins with the army and they all run down the rest of the steps towards the oncoming serpents. I follow behind after them and head over to Lloyd.

"Are you okay?" I ask, pulling him away from the ongoing battle.

"Yeah." He says as we both duck to avoid being hit by a skeleton swinging a bone sword at a snake, "I can't believe dad showed up with an army."

"An army of skeletons at that!" I reply, "where's Pythor?!" I add looking around the crowd and not seeing the only purple snake.

"There!" Lloyd shouts, pointing to the Anacondrai.

He's to the side of the battle, holding all the Fangblades. He pulls a lever and suddenly the cage lowers down and into the acid river.

"Why do the snakes even have an acid river? Where do you even get an acid river?!... Can I have one?"

It starts burning through the bottom of the cage, forcing the the ninja to climb up the bars to avoid burning with it as well.

"We gotta stop the cage!" My brother says as we run towards the levers and pulley system, "which one do you think it is?!"

"Just start pulling them!" I instruct and push random levers. One of them releases the chains on their wrists. I pull another one that makes the chain start releasing faster, making the cage burn away even quicker, "so maybe not that one."

Lloyd pushes another one and all the bars in the cage drop, freeing them. They all jump off the platform before it filling burns away. We both push the last handle and the pulley system starts moving more chains down to reveal the Golden Weapons and the Samurai suit.

They all grab their weapons as we run over to them, "told you we'd save you!" We say happily

"Go, ninja, go." Kai says quirking an eyebrow with a smirk.

They all rush off the join the ongoing battle, the boys using their spinjitzu. I can't say for sure who's winning, it looks about evenly matched. The only advantage I can see is the skeleton can't die, but they're helping us so this means we have an undead army. We can't lose!

Lloyd and I look over to see Pythor still trying to leave. He's gone unnoticed for the most part.

"Come on!" Lloyd shouts and we rush after him. I don't know what we're gonna do to stop him, but we can't let him leave with all 4 Fangblades.

He slithers over to a hidden tunnel, avoiding the battle at all costs. My brother and I jump in his way, blocking his exits. He doesn't look like he cares in the slightest, just bored, "Do you really think you have what it takes to stop me?"

Suddenly our dad jumps in front of us, 2 swords raised and ready to fight, "He can." Lloyd says smugly

He swings one of them at Pythor who blocks it with his staff last second and hisses angrily.

Dad continues to use his swords in a series of movements, trying to force the serpent back from the escape tunnel. Pythor continues to block every hit he can with the staff, keeping the blades back and away from harm.

I grab my brother's arm and pull him to the side, "come on, we can catch him off guard."

The 2 of us sneak around the battle between dad and Pythor, both of them too busy in the fight to notice us moving to the other side. We creep up behind the Anacondrai and crouch down.

Dad finally notices us and this time uses both swords in an attack, swinging them both inward towards his head. He hisses again and jumps back out of the way and tumbles back right over us.

He gasps as he falls and when he slams into the floor on the other side of my brother and I, the 4 Fangblades go flying from his hand.

Cole, seeing this, leaps up and grabs the blades before anyone else can reach them. Lloyd and I stand as well as he swings his scythe down inches away from the serpents neck.

"Going somewhere?" he asks. Pythor merely glares at him for a moment before laughing quietly and disappearing without a trace.

"I forgot he could do that." I mumble to myself

"Where'd he go?!" Cole exclaims bewilderedly

The other 3 run over to join us.

"Who cares?!" Kai replies with a sarcastic shrug of the shoulders, "we have the Fangblades."

"Nice goin, twins!" Jay says happily, "we should bring you guys with us more often."

"You didn't bring us." Lloyd corrects

"We saved your asses!" I add

"Language!"

"Let's get out of here." Kai says finally

The boys all use their spinjitzu again and move back up the steps, knocking the snakes out of the way. Lloyd and I trail behind dad while Nya and Wu take up the rear. The battle is still continuing, but where the snakes look annoyed and want this to be over already, the skeleton's look like they're having the time of their lives.

"Don't worry about us. We'll keep fighting the good fight!" one of the skeleton's calls after us. I recognize him. I think he's subbed at Darkley's before, but I don't remember his name.

"I never thought I'd be saying this, but... Go, ninja, go!" another one exclaims

We all escape through the tunnel we came through, climb back up the rope and onto the Bounty. Nya flies us quickly out of there just in case any Serpentine were on our tail.

"Yeah, we got the Fangblades!" Jay shouts excitedly

"Finally, we have a win!"

"Without them, Pythor won't be able to release the Devourer."

"We totally kicked their butts!"

Lloyd and I just sit at the table in the control room and watch them all lose their minds over todays events. We both have our elbows propping our heads up, eyes scanning back and forth as they pace excitedly.

Uncle Wu and dad speak amongst themselves in the corner of the room, near the door. They don't seem to be involved in the excitement at the moment.

Jay gasps, "We should celebrate!"

"That's a great idea!" Cole agrees

"We deserve it after being stuck in that cage." Kai grumbles making Lloyd and I giggle quietly.

"Yeah, we'll set it up in here." Nya suggests and they all start planning.

Dad and Wu finish their conversation and dad leaves the room. Uncle starts speaking with the others as Lloyd elbows my side and gestures for us to follow dad.

We find him in the boys room. He has his back to us as he packs his case.

"You're leaving?" We ask in unison gaining his attention.

He turns to us and pauses for a moment to look at our green gis, "now that you are safe and the ninja have the Fangblades, there is nothing else I am needed for."

"We need you." Lloyd says and I can tell on some level he's hoping that's enough to make him stay.

It's not and we all know it.

It's uncomfortably quiet for a moment, but finally I say, "we understand you have to leave, but do know this..."

"When we meet again, we're gonna do everything in our power to defeat you." Lloyd finishes

Dad chuckles and pats my brother on my head, "I wouldn't have it any other way."

He grabs his case and turn to face us again, "twins, you're good kids."

"Good kids?! He doesn't know us at all! We're a menace to society. Ask anyone."

"And soon you'll do great things. Although we're no on opposite sides, I'm still very proud of both of you."

Lloyd and I turn to look at each other, faces matching to show our shock at his comment.

"Wait," my brother says and turns to the cabinet, "I can get you one of Jay's gliders."

"You probably don't need it, but it might-"

We turn to see the door open and dad gone.

"Help..." I finish my thought quietly

"So long, dad." We say in unison

We turn to each other again as the atmosphere in the room drops significantly.

"This sucks." Lloyd says suddenly, "I know he has to leave, but-"

"Doesn't make it any easier..." I complete his thought and trail off for a moment, "but we saw it coming."

"Yeah, I know."

Loud music starts to play from down the hall. My twin and I both furrow our eyes brows and slowly turn our heads in the direction of the music.

"Guess they started celebrating." Lloyd says

"Yeah..." I listen for a second, "what are they listening to?"

He shrugs, "I have no idea, but it's weird."

We keep quiet for another moment to listen, "is it disco?" I finally ask

His eyes widen, "oh my gosh, I think it is. It's so old!"

"10 bucks says Uncle Wu picked the music!"

"I'll take that bet." He replies with a smirk, "mainly because neither of us have any money."

I laugh, "come on, let's go see if he's dancing!"

We run down the hall and peek our heads in the doorway, me crouching a little lower and my brother leaning in above me.

They set up a disco ball hanging from the ceiling, reflecting blue, purple and red lights around the room. And we're right, disco music blasts loudly from the speakers. The Fangblades are set up on the table. They also have punch and Zane's cookies.

"This is definitely a last minute thrown together party." I mutter up to Lloyd

He snorts, "dude check out their dancing."

We both start giggling. It's stupid weird dancing, the boys mainly just flexing and trying to up each other.

"This is the lamest part ever!" My twin whispers back to me with a laugh.

"Do we dare join?"

But he doesn't answer me, instead Nya notices us in the door way.

"You guys do know you're allowed to join us, right?" She asks

We both finally go in as Nya peers behind us in the doorway, "where's Garmadon?" But I guess our faces say enough, "he left, didn't he..."

She grabs some punch glasses for us and hands them over, "have some snogfruit punch. Cole made it and it's actually not bad."

"The name alone sounds bad." I mutter, but take the cup anyways.

"To the twin's dad!" She announces suddenly

"Hear, hear!" The other shout and raise their glasses

"To dad!" Lloyd and I add

"Tomorrow we arrive at Torchfire Mountain to destroy these Fangblades once and for all." Wu says, "and it couldn't have been done without your father. I'm going to miss him."

They all cheer and raise their glasses again before taking a drink. I finally take a small sip of mine as well.

"Nya's right, it's not bad." I shrug, "wait a minute. What's Torchfire Mountain?!"
