You woke up to from a text on your phone and slowly opened to eyes to the painful brightness coming from your window.
Text from Shoto
Shoto
Hello.
I just wanted to let you know
I will be going to my father's
agency.
You
Morning Shoto. I'm glad to hear.
That means we'll get to work
together :)
Shoto
Yes.
I am also looking forward to that.
You
I take it the visit to your mother's went
well?
Shoto
You're correct.
I'm glad I went to go see her. She seems
better than before.
You
Did you guys have a good talk?
Shoto
We did. I apologized for my part and she
apologized as well.
I told her about how I've been doing at UA.
She seems proud.
You
That's great!
Though I don't think you had anything
to really apologize for.
Shoto
I feel like I've caused her a lot of pain
when she was still with us.
I feel responsible in a way.
You
You were just a kid.
It wasn't your fault, I still don't see what
you really did wrong.
Shoto
Maybe so.
But I'm just glad my mother and I
are on good terms again.
:)
That's a smiley face by the way. I
copied you.
You
LOL I know Shoto.
Shoto
Just clarifying.
"LOL" means you're laughing right?
You
Yes it does.
Shoto
I see. It's convenient how they made an
acronym for it.
You
There are a lot of acronyms when it comes to
texting.
Shoto
What are a couple more?
You
wtf is "what the fuck"
Shoto
That's very vulgar.
You
idk is "I don't know"
lmao is "laugh my ass off"
Shoto
Laughing your ass off?...
How does that work?
You
It's just a popular phrase, it's not literal.
Shoto
"lol" seems better and more appropriate.
You
You can stick with lol then :)
Shoto
:)
Did you have any plans for the weekend?
You
I hung out with Bakugou yesterday
in the city.
Shoto
You willingly hung out with him?
You
He's not so bad.
Shoto
Oh no, I wasn't implying he's a pain
or anything.
Sometimes he is though.
But it's just surprising to hear you guys
hanging out together outside of school.
You
Aizawa said that as well haha.
But I just wanted to see more of the
city. And Bakugou lives really close
to me.
Shoto
Oh that's interesting.
You
Yeah.
How about you?
Any plans for today?
Shoto
No not really. I think I'm going to
stay at home and study a bit.
You
Is that what you always do on your free time?
Shoto
Mostly.
You
Why don't you ask Midoriya to hangout?
Shoto
Midoriya's nice.
I like him.
You
Me too.
He's a very likable boy and he's helped
others a lot.
Shoto
He reminded me it was my power :)
You
I remember :)
Shoto
Right.
Okay well I will see you on Monday.
You
Can't wait to intern with you 😊
Shoto
The emoji looks nice.
You
Mhm.
You still owe me soba by the way.
Shoto
I have not forgotten. We can have soba
during our intern.
You
Yay.
Shoto
Have a good day.
You
You too.
You spent the rest of your day hanging out with Aizawa and watching TV before you had to leave for Endeavor's agency. When you guys wanted to take a break from the screen, you would go outside and practice hand-to-hand combat and listened while he gave you tips.
"It's good that you don't always rely on your quirk to fight," he said as he drank out of his water bottle.
"Hand-to-hand combat helps me improve my quirk anyway," you say as you wipe the sweat off your forehead. "I'm gonna shower now and then meditate before going to bed."
"You don't wanna eat ice cream and binge watch Attack on Titan?" Aizawa looked over at you, raising his eyebrow.
"Okay maybe sleeping can wait," you agreed.
And for the rest of the night, you were glued to the couch with a tub of ice cream in your possession. It was nice to relax on some days like this, you've never really experienced it before because your dad never allowed breaks like this. You were thankful for Aizawa and how he introduced you to "Attack on Titan", but most importantly, how he always looked after you even when your parents we're still alive.
Once a couple hours passed, Aizawa noticed how you fell asleep and fluffed a blanket over you before cleaning up after your ice cream.
"Night, kid," he whispered and then turned off the lights in the living room.
The next day
"Does everyone have their things?" Aizawa asked the students. You were all currently at the subway, waiting for your stops to arrive since everyone was going in different directions. "Remember, you are not allowed to wear your hero costume unless permitted to."
"I just wanna wear mine already," you whined.
"You haven't wore yours yet cause you just got it recently huh?" Midoriya asked.
"Well I've obviously tried it on, but I wanna do something in it," you laugh. "Hey, is Iida okay? He's been really quiet lately— and less energetic."
"Yeah um," he lowered his voice a little bit. "During the sports festival he got a call saying that his brother, Igenium, has been hospitalized."
"That's terrible." A frown spread across your face. "I didn't know Igenium's his brother, I saw it on the news yesterday! Is he in critical condition?"
I don't really know, but he said that everything's fine," Midoriya shrugged. "I'm just not sure if he's telling the truth."
"That means... he encountered the hero killer, Stain." You shivered a little bit just at the thought of the him. Something about him just scared you more than normal villains.
"I'm gonna go talk to him for a bit." Midoriya picked up his briefcase containing his costume and waved. "Good luck at your intern! I'll see you soon."
"You too," you smile and wave. Turning around, you saw Bakugou leaning against the stone pillar while staring in the distance. You decided to talk to him for a bit before your subway train came.
"What do you want dumbass?" he glared at you as you approached him.
"Get rid of your attitude, I just came to say hi," you roll your eyes.
"Hi. You can leave now," Bakugou shooed you away.
"I'm wearing the necklace you got me." You looked down and pulled it out of your shirt. "I keep it tucked in cause I'm scared of losing it."
"Tch. Well you better wear it or I had to deal with the salesman flirting with you for nothing," he spat.
"He wasn't flirting, it was just good customer service," you opposed.
"He complimented your eyes," Bakugou brought up.
"He was being nice," you pat him on the shoulder. "Of course you would think it's flirting because you rarely say nice things. But I'm sure you can compliment people without it being labeled as 'flirting'."
"Like the time you called me handsome and said I looked good in my casual clothes?" He smirked, looking right at you.
"Yes. And I told you I compliment other people all the time— it's not just you," you remind him, annoyed.
"If you say sooo." The smirk still hadn't left his face as he faced forward again.
"Where's Best Jeanist's agency?" You ask him.
"Tokyo," he answered. "God I hope this hero lives up to his reputation and can actually teach me something."
"He looks like a promising hero," you say. "He does have a really cool quirk."
"I bet I'd still be able to take him on," Bakugou added.
"Is that always your number one thought when you meet new people?" You question him judgmentally.
"I HAVE TO MAKE SURE I'M THE BEST," he yelled.
"Y/n," Todoroki notified you. "Our train's here."
"Coming!" You tell him. "See you soon, Bakugou. Don't worry I'm not gonna kiss you on the cheek again since you couldn't handle it. It's a simple wave this time.
"HUH? I COULD HANDLE IT, I JUST DON'T WANT TO!" He tried defending himself.
"If you say sooo," you mocked him as he kept growling. "Bye Mr. Aizawa!" You shout to him, earning a wave and a small smile back. "I'll text you later," you turn to Bakugou before leaving.
"Or you can just not," he shrugged.
You glare at him before stepping into the train with Todoroki.
"I'm a little nervous," you admit to him as you both took a seat next to each other.
"Why?" Todoroki turned his head to look at you.
"You're father is intimidating," you chuckle nervously. Todoroki rolled his eyes, which is something you'd never expect from him. "I didn't know you had a sassy side of you."
"It's not sassy. I just get annoyed whenever I think about my dad," he deadpanned. "Don't be nervous. I'm sure we're just going to patrol the area on our first day. You get to wear your costume."
Just hearing that pushed all your nerves down the drain and built up excitement in you. "I can't wait!"
Todoroki smiled at how quick you change your attitude. "I hope we get to learn a thing or two. If it weren't for my mom, I wouldn't have chosen his agency. But as a student, choosing to intern for the number 2 hero is what's best for me. I need to know how a hero thinks behind the scenes."
"I feel a little bit bad. I didn't even participate in the sports festival yet got picked by the number 2 hero," you slightly frown at the thought. "I hope our classmates don't think it's unfair or anything."
"They've seen your skills first hand during our spar," he reminded you. "They know how good you are— I'm sure everyone thinks you deserve it."
"Thanks, Shoto," you smile at him.

When you guys arrived at your stop, you made your way to Endeavor's building together. It was a tall skyscraper, made almost entirely out of class.
"Woah this place is fancy," you observed as you walked into the building.
"Hello. We're the students from UA interning for Endeavor," Todoroki told the person behind the desk.
"Oh yes, he mentioned his son and a friend of his would be arriving today," the woman smiled. "In that case you can just go up the-"
"SHOTO!" Endeavor's deep voice rang throughout the room. You looked ever at Todoroki and saw the annoyance written all over his face. "I'm so glad you're finally here. I can't wait to teach you more about what it takes to be a hero."
"Do you always have to yell my name every time you see me," Todoroki mumbled. "Why can't you greet us like a normal person?"
"Hi," you gave the hero a small wave.
"Hello, it's nice to see you again," he nodded. "Come on, let's get you guys settled in."
Even though he's being nice it sounds mean because of how deep and stern his voice is.
Going into the elevator, he clicked of one of the buttons and waited for the elevator door to close.
"What're we gonna do today?" Shoto asked.
"For now, I don't have much planned for today. I was thinking you guys can go outside somewhere and train together since your quirks require a lot of room," Endeavor stated. "But tomorrow, we will be patrolling the city and I will show you how to do so."
"Are we just going to patrol the city our entire time here?" Todoroki questioned.
"I have something planned for the day after tomorrow," he informed us. "We'll talk about it later."
The elevator reached our destination with a ding and the three of us walked out together. "Are we going to be staying here overnights?" You ask.
"Yes actually we're heading to your rooms right now," Endeavor answered as you guys continued walking the down the hall. "Unpack what you need to and then start training." He handed you and Todoroki the keycards to access your rooms that were right next to each other's and simply left.
"He's a lot calmer than I thought he'd be," you point out. "He's not as intense as the last time we talked."
"I've also noticed that. Might be because of some of the conversations we had at the sports festival," Todoroki assumed. "Well, let's change into something more comfortable before heading down."
You nodded and inserted your keycard into the lock. When you walked in, you turned on the lights and noticed how nice the room looked. There was a queen sized bed in the center and a desk in the corner. The bathroom was spacious enough and already had all the toiletries.
Well that's what I expect from an agency that belongs to Endeavor.
Text to Bakugou
You
I just made it to the agency hbu?
Bakugou
I'm still on the train. Pretty sure I'm
arriving soon.
It's so crowded in here I should've just taken
a taxi.
You
Yeah it was pretty crowded for me and Shoto
too.
Let me know how your first day goes.
Bakugou
Why?
You
:/
Cause I just want to know?
Am I not allowed to check in on you?
Bakugou
Are you my mom?
No.
You
Aww your mom checks up on you
that's cute.
Bakugou
Fuck off.
You
:( I just wanna text my bestie.
Bakugou
Go text them instead of me.
You
You are my bestie.
Bakugou
I don't remember us becoming friends
in the first place.
You
You buy necklaces for people who aren't
your friends?
Bakugou
You're making me regret it.
You
Still bought it :)
Okay I have to go now.
Shoto and I are training. See you.
Bakugou
Finally.
After you changed into training clothes, you heard a knock on your door. "Coming!"
"Hi, are you ready?" Todoroki asked you as you opened it.
"Yeah just let me get my water bottle." You run to your desk to grabbed it and ran back to the door.
"Or rooms look exactly the same," Todoroki pointed out as you close the door behind you. "Not surprised though. It is a hotel-like concept."
You guys made your way down the elevator to go down back to the first floor. "I wonder what Endeavor has planned for the 'day after tomorrow'," you quoted him.
"Maybe we have to fight each other again," Todoroki rubbed his chin. "And he'll give us feedback on how we did. But also he'll use this opportunity to see if I can actually beat you."
"You did beat me." You wince at the memory of Todoroki locking you in his ice hold.
"It wasn't easy though," he tried making you feel better. "I think a problem you have is you tend to panic under pressure and then rely on your strength alone. That being said, you don't lack strength and you have good strategy planning most of the time, but you should work on technique."
You took all of his words into consideration and nodded. "Maybe I can work on that this week."
The elevator reached the bottom floor as the doors slide open, allowing you two to walk through. It was felt weird to be in such a fancy building yet wearing ordinary training clothes— not to mention when you were done you'd be all sweaty and dirty.
You were curious to see if Todoroki would have a passive-aggressive attitude towards his dad the time he's going to spend here. But after his talk with his mom, he does seem a lot more calmer and mature.
"After we train, we can have soba for dinner," Todoroki smiled softly at the thought.
"You really like soba don't you?" You giggle.
"Yes. It's my favorite," he confirmed. "Also I've been meaning to say that whenever we train together now I will be using my left side. So watch out."
"Is that a challenge," you grin over at him as you guys exited the building and walked to a more open area.
"No, it's a heads up." He stared blankly at you.
"Never mind," you shake your head. "In some cases, fire can't really do much against rocks you know?"
"My fire burns hotter than regular fire," Todoroki informed you. "But we will see how it goes."
When you guys found a spot you both liked, you set your things down and began stretching before getting started.
As the days flew by, you realized when you're barefoot, you were able to control with the ground with your feet better. Though you couldn't move the ground with your foot as well as you did with your hand, it gave your more stability.
Frankly, you've always like standing barefoot on the ground, you swore you could feel every inch of the area just by letting the bottom of your feet touch the floor.
"You're fighting barefoot?" Todoroki asked you as he saw your take off your shoes.
"I like the feeling of the dirt under my feet anyway," you shrugged.
He made a face at you. "Sounds messy. And dirty."
"It helps with my quirk too okay?" You explain.
"Should've just led with that."
