The next day, you were lounging around your house, thinking of what to have for lunch, when you had a brilliant idea. Your eyes shot open and you sat bolt upright, sort of scaring your family. You though about it for a minute before turning to your mum and yelling "I'm gonna fly to LA and see Finn!" A smile was plastered across your face and while you thought it was the best idea ever thought of, your mum and dad just giggled to themselves before your father's kind words spoke through:
"Yeah Ivy... That's not happening" He was still smiling even though trying to be serious "Now go and brush your teeth, you have to leave for school in a minute." While you trudged off to the bathroom, he turned to your mum and they both broke into a fit of laughter again. You couldn't help but rethink your idea. Even though it was sudden, it was 5 years overdue. You wanted to see him more than ever and when you slid into the car about 5 minutes later, your mum said:
"Ok Ivy. I'm sorry for laughing this morning" Didn't sound genuine, but we'll continue "and I'm sorry for not respecting your wishes to see Finn again. We have some money saved up and I must admit... I've really missed gossiping with Mrs. Wolfhard recently. If you still want to go to LA, then after school we'll book the plane tickets." Your breathing stopped before you turned to your mum with a slow turn. Your mouth was hanging so low that it could have hit the ground and your eyes were so wide, they could've fallen from your face. You waited for confirmation that what she said was true and when she repeated her last sentence, you took a deep breath in and screamed a scream of joy and excitement. You would finally get to see Finn again.
