Sup. This is the boring part of the story where I attempt to set the scene. There's no real action in here. I'm just trying to establish the context. ME ME BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
David took a deep breath of the camp's clear, fresh air through his nose as he strolled happily out of the camp counselor's office. He beamed up at the bright, blue sky with admiration. Everything was perfect that day, yet again, everyday was perfect at Camp Campbell.
Gwen stomped grumpily beside him, her brows knitting and a coffee mug in her hand. She sipped it before glancing at David. He gave her an encouraging smile, telling her she could get through another day. She smiled back, rolling her eyes with platonic affection.
"See Gwen, I told you it wouldn't be raining today. Now we can go on our hike! Don't believe everything you read silly," David cheered.
She sighed.
"Ok fine you were right," said Gwen, rolling her eyes, "Let's get this over with."
"That's, uh, almost the spirit!" David remarked. "Another wonderful day at Camp Campbell."
"You've jinxed it dumbass."
