Amara was off the flight. Her dreadful hours on flight was finally over. She was accompanied by a handsome stranger both on take-off and landing. That guy did not even talk to her after that random introduction. He just scooted over ever so gracefully when she came to sit beside him. She could very well notice his eyes on her multiple times, but that person did not utter a single word.
Amara has always been confident in her communication skills, but that one flight was enough to tell her that she shouldn't. Whenever she would strike some conversation, he would blatantly turn it down. At the end, she decided to sit quietly and let him do his work. At least, he helped her out. She should be grateful.
As the car crossed her estate border. A broad smile dawned on her face. She was home finally. Her smile widened as the car crossed the gate of the palace.
Even after three years everything is same. The same garden. The wide tall canopy. Everything was prim as it was before. She could remember running behind her mother in admist of all those flowers.
Amara mood turned sour as she remembered they were now the only memories with her mother. Before she dig deeper in the darkness she shook her head.
She was home. She had to be happy for her father. He did not deseve to see her sad face after so long.
As the car reached the palace. She could see her working staff standing. As the car finally stopped, she swiftly opened the door and standing their was her father.
Abhiraj could not be more happy than today. Her daughter was finally home.
One look at his daughter and he knew. He knew she had grown up more than ever. Her eyes still the most beutiful pairs he had ever seen. The mix of his and her wife with the unique integrity and softness in it. Abhiraj smiled as soon as he saw Amara coming straight at her. Her face showed child like innocence.
Abhiraj knew that face very well. She made that face whenever he used to go to pick her up from school. He was grateful to his early self that he took time from the awful schedule for her. He knew she was still the same Amara.
As soon as Amara came near the arm distance of her father. The king embraced his daughter. He did not care to show his weak side to his subjects.
"I miss you."
Amara said as she got out of the hug. Her eyes turned glassy. She had not expected that she would get emotional after seeing her father for so long but seeing her father had truly hit the solid rock inside her.
"I missed you too, Aru." Abhiraj said as he look straight in her eyes.
Amara admired her dad. At the age of fifty three her dad had stood tall and proud taking all the responsibilities of the king on his shoulder when his brother is busy naming their organization to number one in world.
"Are you aging backwards? Not even a single wrinkle. I need your skincare routine dad!" Amara said as his father laughed.
"Of course, everything that is mine is of my daughter." Abhiraj said as he ruffled her hair.
Amara smiled as they started walking towards the main hall. Their palace has renovated with time but the ambience here was same. The same small windows which took Amara hundreds years back with it.
She sat on the sofa with her father on the front. She smiled at the maid who silently serve some tear to her.
"Where is bhaisa?"
She said while taking a sip from the tea.
"That brother of yours is in some meeting with his fiance's brother. They are discussing some important matter." Abhiraj rolled his eyes.
"You could do better dad. I will never attend meeting when my dearest sister had come home finally." Yashvardhan smiled as he came in the hall.
Amara laughed as she straight up stood as her hulk of a brother hugged her.
"How is my little baby sister?"
Yashvardhan smiled as he squished Amara cheeks. Amara pouted.
"I am not a baby, bhaisa!" Amara said as she rolled her eyes. " I am grown women now." Amara she swayed her hair backwards dramatically.
To Amara surprise her brother and father had the audacity to laugh at her.
" Arey, What are you guys laughing at? I am twenty five year old now." Amara said as she looked at them confused.
"Ahh dad, our baby has finally grown up." Yash said.
"Dad! Tell bhaisa to stop." Amara said she subconsciously used her baby card again. Amara was youngest in the family. Being six year younger than her brother. She always had an upper hand in her family so unfortunately her brother had declared that- she had the baby card in the family.
What she says goes.
.
Almost everytime.
"Ok both of you calm down." Abhiraj said still seated on his seat. His one hand on the sofa and leg crossed.
His words were reign.
Amara and his brother sat down. Her eyes turn a shade lighter as mischievousness sparked in it.
"So bhaisa wedding huh!?"
Amara said as she wiggled her eyebrows to her brother. For the outer world her bhaisa was someone who should not be approached. Period. He is that one disciplined man who could beat anything and everything on his way to pursue his goal.
That side of his has never once showed in front of Amara. Although he stopped showing his emotions years back but still he continued to smile down at her.
He was her protective covering. The statue of strength standing high and tall.
His bhaisa face showed no emotions. His face showed nothing. He elegantly leaned back as he said
"Yes. I thinks it's time for me to get settled."
"So whose that girl which had made you think that way?" Amara smirked as she looked at his brother.
Yes, he looked unbothered but his ears had turned a shade darker. Amara could very well notice that. He could hide his emotions from anyone not from her.
"Angira. She is the only princess of Pratapgarh. We met at one of parties her brother hosted."
Pratapgarh were one of the the strongest estate matching her father's estate. She had heard about the ruler of Pratapgarh being a the man with great capabilities and golden future in his hands.
"Well that's great. Dad said they are coming tomorrow?"
"Yes, they are. Preparation are almost done." Yash smiled at her.
"That's good."
Amara sighed as she looked at her father with a small tired smile. The trauma she had faced in flight was actually the most tiring part of her journey.
"Go take rest. You need to be there all the time for rituals."
Abhiraj said he could see Amara eyes literally drooping because of tiredness.
Amara nodded as she bid bye to them. She could not be more excited for tomorrow.
...
"Get up princess. You need to get ready for guests arrival. They will be coming anytime soon." Sameera said.
The familiar voice of her home staff woke Amara. She sighed looking now open curtains. Sunrise looked more beautiful today. The feeling of being home completly overtake her heart and she felt peace.
The calm serene peace.
She subsequently took her bath. Wore her clothes. A elegant anarkali fit for a princess. Amara twirled in front of her mirror.
The guests would be here in an hour and she was all ready to check the decoration. The roka is a big thing especially when this is a yuvraj we are talking about.
"You look so beautiful love."
Amara's dad said looking at her with loving eyes. Amara smiled.
"It's all from you. Dad."
"Well I am charming, aren't I?"
"Yes, More than anyone else in the world." Amara said giggling at her dad.
Amara could never forget all the times when his father had taken very tough decision. He was king after all. Although the monarchs no longer held power in administration but it was the people who made them strong. The people of the estate who still considered them as their beloved royal family and their lord's.
The political strength that Amara's father had was immense. Certainly that came with their own flaws too. After losing so much he smiled for her and that's what make him best father that she would ver ask for.
Amara subconsciously moved towards his father and gave him one of her bear hugs. She loved to give hugs to her loved ones. She believed that she was transmitting her positive energy to them too.
She missed his father.
She missed home.
She missed this.
"It's true that my baby hasn't grown yet then."
"I hate you for that though."
Amara said as she get out of hug and glared at her father to which her father laughed genuinely.
Her talk were dismissed by the phone call. Her father picked the call.
"I will be there in five minutes." Her father said as his smile got wider.
"They are almost here, Amara. I will recieve them on entrance."
Amara smiled brighter.
"Go ahead dad. I will be waiting for all of you here."
Finally she will meet her brother's queen.
