——Y/n (Your) POV!——
"(Y/n) (L/n)... Welcome to your Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor... Your Squip."
~
I looked up to see a man in front of me. He looked around my age, 20-ish... he had fairly curly hair with neon cyan eyes and highlights, a blue shirt, a black trench coat, and its black pants and blue shoes.
I finally pushed myself off my desk that I was using to hold myself up.
Jesus, who ordered the attractive computer?
The man in front of me lifted an eyebrow and smirked. "I'm thankful that you believe I'm attractive." The man said.
My cheeks briefly warmed up. "So are you..."
"-Yes, (Y/n), I am your Squip." The man answered.
"Can, um- can everyone see you?" I hesitantly asked the Squip.
"No, I only exist in your brain, although as the lasted model, I do have a physical appearance so that everyone else around me can see me." The Squip answered in a professional manner.
"So, if nobody else can currently see you, then how do I-"
"If you want to interact with me in public, then just think to me or else it will look like you're having an animated conversation with yourself." Squip cut me off with a chuckle.
My eyes lit up. "Like in X-Men?!" I thought.
The Squip let out a sigh. "I see that my job is going to be difficult, now, to move onto what my purpose is." The Squip tried to steer us onto the correct topic. "What do you wish for me to do while I'm helping you? Popularity? Success?" He asked.
I stopped to think for a moment. "I guess, just someone to be there for me... Just, someone to help me out." I said, smiling just a bit.
"But, according to your memories, you already have people that care deeply for you... Jeremy Heere and Micheal Mell are their names." He said as if I didn't know their names. "I never said that you didn't know their names-"
"Well, yes, but... What I mean is for you to be here for me when they can't, like if I have a mental breakdown at home and they're not here to help me through it." I explained.
"Ah, I see. So like, a friend that will never leave your side?" Squippy asked for confirmation. " 'Squippy'?"
"Yeah, and just someone to help me live my life to its fullest." I continued.
"Alright, then, to be completely honest, my job shouldn't be all that difficult to fulfill." The Squip admitted.
I smiled a bit more and glanced down at my desk. "Oh, I have two questions."
"And I have two answers."
"How are you with math homework?" I asked.
The Squip smirked and let out an amused sigh. "I'm a supercomputer, (Y/n). I'm made of math." He answered with an eye roll.
"Okay, and, can you see and interact with other people's Squips?" I questioned.
"Yes, so if it seems that I'm talking to myself, I'm probably talking to another Squip."
I flopped on my bed face first. I turned on my side to look back at my new computer friend. "Well, in that case, today was certainly eventful." I chuckled.
"Yes indeed, I actually have another question for you, my hostess." The Squip began.
"And I bet I have another answer for you, my Tecno-Pal." I thought, mocking his words from before.
"When you said: 'Living life to its fullest', what exactly did you mean by that? Like, do you wish for popularity and recognition at school?" He asked.
I sat up on my bed and looked directly at him. "Well, I never really cared much for that kind of stuff, but, I guess, yeah. Sure." I telepathically answered.
The Squip looked at my desk that had my math homework laid out on it. He glanced back at me and he held his chin as he lost himself in his thoughts.
"In that case, how about you go to sleep early- don't worry, I'll do your homework for you tonight, because I might have a lot of work to do." He said. The Squip then looked back at my desk's chair and glitched onto it.
I yawned and shifted to lay back down on my back on the bed. "Alright..." I huffed out loud.
I closed my eyes and drifted off into dreamland.
——The Squip's POV!——
I watched as Y/n slowly fell asleep on her bed. I stood up, walked over to her bedside and pulled the covers over her still fully clothed body.
I know it's only been about half an hour, but I already admire Y/n. She doesn't necessarily want to be popular, she just wants a friend who will always be there for her, which I think is kinda cute-
No, I can't get ahead of myself.
I pulled up one of my screens to check the time and date. "6:09... Friday..." I mumbled to myself. I should get her homework done for Monday, and go over some of her memories so I can get to know her.
~Time SQUIP to the next day~
(Y'all knew it was going to come eventually)
——Y/n (Your) POV!——
I opened my eyes to see the sunlight peeking through my open windows. I laid in my bed for a good 5 more minutes until I sat up and slouched over the edge of the bed.
"Ow!" A zap shot through my back, making me arch my back. "What the hell was that?" I mumbled to myself
"It was an electric shock, it's used for fixing posture, but it could also be used for other things as well." The Squips voice answered. I was briefly startled by the Squips voice due to me forget that I had him. "Ouch, I feel offended Y/n, how you could have already forgotten about your new best friend?" The Squip teased with a smirk.
"Yeah yeah, whatever." I thought as I lazily swat my hand in the Squips's general direction. I slid myself off my bed and stumbled over to my closet to pick some clothes out.
"Actually, why don't you go use the bathroom to freshen up, I'll deal with the outfit situation." The Squip prompted, I didn't really want to argue with a computer first thing in the morning, so I just compiled by walking out of my room and into the bathroom.
By the time I had gotten back to my room, I had already brushed my hair's knot out and washing my face to make it seem like I didn't just wake up.
I walked over to where my Squip was standing and grabbed the clothes that he was holding.
"I originally thought that it was going to be difficult to find a decent outfit, but you do have some presentable clothes in here." My Squid answered. "S-Squid? Okay, I'm sorry, but what is up with these nicknames."
"I don't know what you are talking about." I mentally giggled.
"Well, first there was 'Squippy', then 'Tecno-Pal', now there's 'Squid', what's the deal with these nicknames?"
I shrugged. "I don't know, it just feels weird calling you 'The Squip'." I thought. Squipward gave me an agreeable shrug back-
"SQUIPWARD?"
I pushed Squips back just a bit. "Alright Electro boy, get out so I can change!"
The Squip chuckled at my request and turned around to look me right in the face. "Really? I looked at your memories last night, so I've seen you naked before, it's not anything weird." He attempted to reassure.
I huffed. "I-I know that it's j-just weird..." a familiar zap hit my body.
"Don't stammer."
"Whatever, please just leave, it's just uncomfortable," I answered.
"As you wish," The Squip bowed at me and began to dematerialize. "I'll prepare you a healthy breakfast to start your day off."
When I saw that the Squip was completely gone, I removed my old shirt and pants and put on the preselected clothes. When I finished dressing, I then walked downstairs (We're going to pretend that your bedroom is upstairs) into the kitchen to see the Squip making avocado toast.
"Oh my god, I love avocado toast!" I exclaimed out loud.
Squip chuckled and turned around with the finished toast in hand. "I know Y/n, I'm inside your brain."
My cheeks briefly warmed up again and the Squip smirked. "Oh god, that smirk is kinda hot..."
"You flatter me Y/n." He chuckled as he walked over to hand me my avocado toast. My face completely flushed out of embarrassment as I took the plate from his hands. I really need to stop forgetting that he can read my mind... "Yes, that would be a good thing to remember." DAMN IT. I walked away from the Squip and went to go sit down on the living room couch.
The Squip followed me and sat down on the opposite end of the couch. "So, any plans for today, my supercomputer?" I asked as I bit down on my toast.
"Well, I was thinking about going to the mall to get some new clothes, you could use some more clothes that aren't just merchandise," Squippy explained.
I shrugged but nodded. "Okay, is it alright if I bring along Jeremy and-or Micheal?" I asked again.
"I suppose, but if you want to gain popularity then you'll have to get some more friends, specifically the popular people." The Squip said.
"Yeah I know, just- popularity isn't really my main focus at the moment."
"I'm also well aware of that, Y/n, cause the last time I checked," The Squip glitched-teleported next to me and leaned in to poke my forehead. "I'm still in your brain."
My face heated due to the Squip being so close to my face. "Alright head-ass, get your hot face away from me." I telepathically demanded.
The Squip chuckled and backed away. "Really Y/n you much stop with these complaints, they are completely unprofessional." The Squip jokingly chuckled, still smirking. I stood up from the couch and marched back to the kitchen and put the plate I was using into the dishwasher. The Squip trailed behind me. "Go grab your wallet and text the guys to come with you to the mall." The Squip instructed.
I nodded and went upstairs to retrieve the things he listed, I also texted a group chat that had Jeremy and Micheal in it, Micheal said he had a French project so he couldn't go, but Jeremy said he could come.
I walked out the house, locked it behind me, and hopped into the car that my parents bought me, I expected for Squippy to sit in the passenger seat, but he sat in the back, I didn't question it though. I drove all the way to Jeremy's house and honked my horn as a way to establish my presence.
Jeremy ran out the front door and slid into the passenger seat and we started driving. "I was wondering how much longer you would take!" Jeremy jokingly complained.
"Yeah, yeah, shut up you big baby." I giggled back while rolling my eyes.
Jeremy took a look at me. "Dude, did you change or something?"
"Hm? What do you mean.?" I asked back.
"Well, you're not wearing your signature Hamilton Hoodie-..." Jeremy cut himself off and looked deep into my soul. "Oh my god, you got one didn't you?"
"Got one what?"
"A Squip!" Jeremy yelled. "I didn't think you would actually get one..."
I hesitated before I said something else, I looked in my rearview mirror to look at my Squip. Squippy caught my gaze and nodded at me.
"Is it okay if I tell him?" I directly asked my Squip.
"Yeah, it's okay to tell Jeremy." My Squip reassured.
I drummed my fingers on the steering wheel and glanced at Jeremy. "Heh, yeah, I was planning on telling you anyway," I said.
Jeremy's eyes lit up. "Thank god- Cause I got myself one t-too!" He stammered, "Ow!" He squeaked.
I raised
