Arizona's POV

Vacation was a success, we have been back home for a week now and finally getting back into the routine of going to work and getting up at odd hours,

The three of us really enjoyed ourselves, Jess ultimately did go with the new people she met the last night we were there and came back with a huge smile telling us how much fun she had

Callie and I also started wedding planning. We are doing it in Seattle, so that way all of our friends and family could be there. Which is actually as far as we got....

I work 7am to 8pm today and Callie doesn't have a set time, only when ever she finishes her one surgery

Jess' POV

Ah, we got back from vacation last week and this week has been tough adjusting back to school but I am very happy to see Amara and Alex again,

Amara walked to my house this morning and we walked hand in hand to school.

When we first started dating she was very shy about who seen us but now she doesn't care what other people think

"Jess!" I hear behind me as we finally reached the school

"Alex" I chuckle as he was running towards me

"Skip school with me" he says

"What?" I question

"Let's go shopping , itll be fine" he says and I sigh

" I don't know Alex.." I say,

"Please? For me?" He says again.

"You want to come?" I ask Amara and she laughs

"Oh no, I'm trying to stay far away from my moms flip flop this week" she chuckles

"Arizona might actually kick my ass when she finds out" I say

"Oh she will, but you'll have fun and we don't have classes together today" Amara tells me and I nod and give her a kiss

"I love you" I tell her and she smiles

"I love you more" she says as the bell rang, she gave me one last kiss and walked inside the school

"So genius, how are we getting to the mall?" I ask

"My friend is taking us, he has to work so he will be dropping us off. Come on" he says and I chuckle and shake my head but follow him to the random car and got inside with him in the backseat

Oh Arizona is so going to kill me

"So what happens when our moms find out we are skipping?" I ask him after Marcus, Alex' friend dropped us off

"My mom won't care, she is probably high right now anyway" he says and I frown

"But your mom.... Might call out a search party" he says making me laugh a little

"Well let's not worry about that right now and let's go shopping! I want pretzels first" I say and lead Alex to the pretzels

Arizona's POV

I have been at work for 3 hours now and I am in the middle of a surgery. Not a difficult one, and it should only have half an hour left when my phone decided to ring

"It says Jess' School" one of the scrub nurses tell me and I sigh,

"Just let it go" I say. If it's bad they will call again or call Callie and Jess would have called since she won't call out of the blue while I'm at work, she usually will text to make sure I'm not in a surgery

I finished my surgery with no problems and went back to my office to see Callie sitting on the couch and I sat down next to her before listening to the voicemail from the school

"Hi, I am calling in regards to Jessica Robbins. We have noticed she is absent today so if you could call and confirm this that would be great. Thank you. Have a good day"

"Absent?" Callie asked

"I swear to god this better be a mistake" I sigh and call the school, just to find out she didn't show up for any of her classes

I called Jess 3 times and each one went to voicemail

"She is in so much trouble" I mumble and my pager goes off

"Go. I'll try to call her again and I will let you know what's happening" she says and I sigh and give her a kiss and walk out of my office

Callies POV

I am finished for the day. Hence as to why I was in Arizona's office.

I know she is pissed about Jess skipping school, so I'm a little nervous to see how that plays out later.

Arizona is really not strict by any means. She allows her friends over whenever. Let's Jess go to parties, and hang out with people we don't know. And a lot more that other parents wouldn't let their kids get way with.

I decided on going home, to see if Jess had just went back this morning but the house was empty

I was about to go back to the hospital when Jess called

"Where are you?"

"Um... shopping with Alex"

"Send me your address. I'm coming to get you"

I hung up the phone and let Arizona know I was going to go get Jess while I waited on her to send me her address

I got in the car and drove silently to Jess and Alex, when I got to their location both jess and Alex were standing outside and each had a bag in their hand

Jess got in the front and Alex in the back behind her

We drove in silence until we got Alex's and he got out and thanked me for picking him up and I started to drive towards the hospital

"You know you're in so much trouble right?" I ask her

"I know," she sighs

When we got to the hospital I texted Arizona to let her know we were here and she told me to meet her in her office

When we walked in her office she wasn't there yet so I sat behind her desk and Jess sat on the couch, it only took Arizona a minute before walking in

Arizona walked in and shut her door, taking a deep breath before looking to Jess and holding her hand out without saying anything

"Seriously?" Jess quizzed and Arizona just raised one of her eyebrows

"Now" Arizona replies sternly and Jess just looks at her before sighing and dropping her phone into Arizona's hand

"I have one more surgery and I can head home to do my paperwork" Arizona says now looking at me

"Take her home. Take the electronics and I will be home as soon as I can" Arizona says

"Mom that's not fair" jess pouts

"How is it not? You skipped school so you could go shopping with your friend." Arizona ask

"But it was my first time skipping, I'm a good kid. I get it. You're pissed but taking everything is cruel" she says and Arizona sighs and looks at me and back to her

"You're grounded but I have to go. We will talk when I get home" she says and walks out of the office

"I don't understand why she is so mad" Jess sighs

"Well I think it's mainly because she was worried not knowing where you were. And skipping school is not a good thing" I tell her and we head out of the hospital

"You're saying you never skipped school?" She asked and I smiled softly

"Aria and I skipped school a lot in high school. But once our parents found out... let's just say never again" I chuckle and she sighs and puts her head against the window

Arizona's POV

I finally finished today at the hospital and am now taking a bunch of paperwork back home with me.

I really don't think I'm going too hard on Jess, I mean grounding her for skipping school is not that bad. Getting off easier than Tim and I would have.

When I walked in the house Callie was on the couch on her phone and Jess was no where to be seen

I dropped my things on the table and sat next to Callie

"Am I going too hard on her?" I ask her and she sighs and opens her arms for me to lay in

"No. I think you're being reasonable" she tells me and I nod,

"Where is she?" I ask

"Her room" she tells me and I nod against her. I can wait 5 minutes before talking. Plus I enjoy being in Callies arms

After a few minutes I gave Callie a kiss and went back to Jess room. She was laying on the bed just staring at her ceiling

"What? Callie took it all" she says with an attitude

"I don't know why you have an attitude towards me. You got yourself into this situation" I tell her and she sighs and scoots over in her bed so I could sit down

"Why?" I ask

"Alex asked if I wanted too" she says and I nod

"I know you think I'm being mean but this was really not your best decision" I explain

"I know. I know. But it's over now and only a week right?" She says and I nod

"Yes ma'am." I reply and pat her shoulder and get off her bed to walk out of her room

"Mom" she says and I smile and turn around. Even if I am a little upset with her. I will always love hearing her say that

"Yea my love?" I ask

"I love you..." she says and I smile

"I love you too Jess... but you're still grounded "
