Bucky's POV:
I honestly didn't expect the army to be like this. Sure it is scary. It's a war with guns, and you never quite now if you'll live to see the next day. This however is so beyond my mind. A man with a red skull for a face and all his weird science things trying to destroy everything. I never thought it would be like this.
Here I am. A prisoner of war after getting caught in Azzano. Nobody knows how long we've been here. After that man with glasses came we've been loosing men and some say I'm next. I'm scared out of my mind. There has been no survivors that anybody knows of. That's when he came and got me. He lead me to a room strapped me down and started injecting me with things. He put plates on the sides of my head and small bolts of electricity ran through my veins. I screamed hoping someone would find me and save me, but all to soon I felt myself slip into darkness.
I screamed waking up from the terrible nightmare, but it was real all that has happened to me. I was just released from the medical bay a day ago and now I spend my time walking around the camp grounds. I haven't even been willing to talk to Steve. I just want time to breathe. I didn't really talk to anyone actually not just yet.
It's now been a week. My nightmares have started to go down because of her. I saw her the second day after being released... Well I didn't see her, but I saw her h/c hair. Each day since I'd catch her out of the corner of my eye. She was a mystery though. No one new about her, or they might have if I could see more than just her hair or the back of her body that looked like she was just wearing a dress. Everyday clothes. See had to be someone important though cause this place is secure and well hidden.
"Buck, you okay?"
"What?"
"You were thinking about that woman again weren't you?"
I sighed and nodded my head. Why couldn't she leave my mind, and why did I keep seeing glances of her?
"Bucky, you know if we knew I'd tell you right. Look we're going to go on missions soon so just breathe and hopefully we will eventually find out about this dame okay?"
He was right I needed to focus on the bigger picture. Helping end the war. I just nodded again and sat back on my cot. After that day I never really saw her, but I never forgot her either. By now I had been on fourteen missions and was fixing to go on my next.
I was now in a train, and I felt sick. I kept fighting though. Soon I grabbed Steve's shield and tried to shoot my gun at the Hydra agent, but he was quicker. I was now hanging off the edge of the train. Steve tried to help me, but it was too late. The bar gave away, and I was falling to my death. I tried to turn around but failed and felt a sharp pain in my arm. It was so bad, I passed out.
I opened my eyes and was terrified. I was still in the snow, but blood stained the snow. My blood. I looked down to see half of my left arm was gone. I cried and looked back up trying not to hyperventilate, and that's when I see her again. The mystery dame. She was beautiful, and she looked like she was an angel. This time I saw all her beauty. She had h/c h/l hair, beautiful eyes, and a bright smile. Maybe I was dying because she was dressed in all white. Also why would she be out here in this barren wasteland by herself. She walked with grace and bent down close to me. She moved my hair from my face and smiled. The last thing I heard before everything was dark was her voice saying sleep.
Your POV:
I teleported the man to the apartment I had rented. I placed him on the bed and cut the rest of his sleeve then with my powers I made his arm reappear. I then restitched the sleeve and made the missing fabric reappear as well. I then went to the kitchen to make him some soup.
I then returned.
"Who are you? Where am I?"
"Well you're not dead so that's good. You're in Germany in a small rental apartment. Soon I'll take you back to your base when you get your strength. If you want that is."
"Who are you? Where did you come from? What did you do? What's your name and why are you in army camps?"
"Well for starters, my name is (your full name). Next you should eat some soup. I want you to carefully use your left arm to hold the spon okay?"
He only nodded as I held the bowl. So far his arm was functioning well, but I eventually fed him the rest.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome..."
"James Buchanan Barnes. But you can call me Bucky."
"Okay then Bucky. I want you to get some sleep, and then I'll try to answer your questions."
"Yes ma'am" he smirked.
I laughed at his cuteness. I stayed and held his hand while he fell asleep. He slept for a good several hours.
"Did you sleep good?"
"Mhmm. First time I've slept good in a long time."
"That's splendid. Now I owe you some answers. I came from (place) and well I'm not really apart of the army but at the same time I am. I work for them when they need me. They probably don't recognize me there because I try to make sure I'm not seen. Look I um have powers and that's how you have your arm again."
"Wow. That's a lot, but I believe you. I just want to know why you saved me and how you even knew were I was."
"I... You're going to think I'm crazy. I followed you and your friends. I saw you fall. I'm honestly sorry I didn't save you sooner." I tried to look away, but I felt his hand grab mine.
"It's okay. I'm just thankful you saved me. Now I think I'm ready to go back, but can you come with me?"
"Yes silly. How else are you gonna get there? Now I don't now if they're in the same place so tell me a name of one of the people you were with and what they looked like."
"Steve Rogers. He's there one with the star on his suit."
I nodded and looked for the man. He was on a plane, but I began to teleport us both there.
Bucky's POV:
I watched as a blue light engulfed us both. I was in a plane with y/n, Steve and that skull man. She looked pale and passed out. I caught her and watched as that man was dissolved into this air. I was speechless. My mind couldn't focus, but I knew Steve was talking, I think to that Peggy woman he fell in love with. Then he got up and turned around.
"Bucky... I thought you died." He said in shock.
"I almost did, but she saved me. Her name is y/n."
"I'm so sorry Bucky now we're all are gonna die."
"Hey if it's our time to go, it's our time to go."
"But the woman."
"At least it won't hurt her."
"I really am sorry Buck. Though she really is pretty. Do you love her?"
"I... Don't know Steve. I would think so. She saved my life and took care of me and told me her secret. What about you and that Peggy dame?"
"First woman that liked me for me Buck. It's too bad it was like this though."
Soon the water filled the plane. Steve lied down and I did the same a few feet away. I held y/n in my arms and kissed her forehead.
"I'm sorry it had to be this way doll."
Soon the darkness took over again.
Third person POV:
"There's three of them. Two men and one female."
Slowly the agents picked the three people out of the ice and they were all alive. They identified the two men as Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. The female was y/n. They thawed them out and dressed them in forties attire. They put Steve in one room, and they let you and Bucky stay in the a different room because they assumed you were together.
Bucky's POV:
I woke up to see I was in a hospital with y/n. Where was Steve? They changed our clothes and I decided to wake y/n up.
"Doll. Wake up."
" I don't want to. Bucky... Where are we?"
"You're in a hospital." A cheery nurse came in.
"Where's Steve?"
"He's okay. He's in the next room sleeping. We'll return with some food for you both in a minute okay."
She walked out and we just sat there for a while.
"This isn't right." She whispered. "The time has changed. It's been seventy years Bucky. We need to find your friend Steve."
Then we heard sirens. "Looks like he figured out himself."
"Bucky. I'm still drained. There's only so much I can do. I only have knowledge. I can't really move much."
I just nodded and got up. I moved to her side and picked her up bridal style. Just as I reached for the door, Steve came in.
"Bucky, y/n we gotta get out of here."
"Steve... We've been frozen for seventy years."
He stood still trying to process what I just said.
"He's not wrong soldier. Stand down, and we'll explain and get everything situated." A man with an eye patch on walked in.
I didn't really pay much attention. I was too focused on y/n. She fell asleep in my arms, and I just wanted to make sure she was safe.
"So Mr. Barnes, who is y/n to you?"
"I uh. I don't know yet sir. I do know she saved my life, and without her, I wouldn't be here today."
"That's nice to know, but we mean relations wise."
"Like I said, I don't know."
"Okay well seeing as you to were so close you will share an apartment with her, and it's right beside Steve's. We just wanted to have the best interest for everyone. Don't worry though Sergeant, there's two rooms."
"Uh. Okay."
Soon we were in our new apartments. So much bigger than back then. I put y/n in one room and made pancakes in the kitchen. What can I say I haven't had one in seventy years and there's only so much I know how to make. Then I took some to y/n.
"I made pancakes... I hope you like pancakes..." I said scratching the back of my neck.
"Awwwww thanks Bucky. So um where are we?"
I told her everything I knew. She nodded in understanding as she ate the pancakes.
"These are really tasty. Compliments to the chef."
"Thanks, I try."
There was a knock at the door and I opened it to see Steve.
"I came to see your mystery dame. Is she awake?"
I laughed and nodded leading him inside. She was sitting on the couch looking outside.
"Hi." Steve said walking so he could see her. "I'm Steve."
"Y/n."
They talked for a while until Steve left back to his apartment.
"I think Steve really liked you."
"Ah, I have your best friends approval. That's great." She smiled.
We spent the rest of the night talking when I decided to ask her to dance with me.
"Of course." She giggled and got up curtsying. I bowed. We danced the rest of the night until we went to our separate rooms falling asleep.
